It's the ship we all know that's doomed to sink. But the passengers didn't know that - they thought the ship was unsinkable. Of course, until they crashed into an iceberg. The year is 1912, the date April 10th. You're rushing to get to the port by noon, waving your ticket to the RMS Titanic in your hand. If third class, you go through inspection and eagerly board the most elegant ship ever made. If first class, you stick up your nose and try not to show how impressed you are with the ship. It's one of the best things that you've ever experienced - and might ever experience. In the four days that the ship is afloat, who do you meet? What relationships develop while you're on the ship? In what ways did being on the Titanic change your life, for good or worse? **Rules** - When the boat, as we know, eventually sinks, you can choose to have your character live, die, or be rescued from the waters. - Keep it PG-16 - Your charrie can either be rich(1st Class), middle class(2nd Class), or poor(3rd Class). Rooming and dining is based on class; if you're poor, you eat normal meals and have to share a tiny room with three other people - All classes eat meals separately unless your charrie is invited to dine with an upper class - All other rules apply Name: Gender: Age: Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd) Personality: Bio: Picture: Other: My Charries! Name:Juliet Sinclair Gender:Female Age:19 Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd)1st Class Personality:Honest, warm, kind, friendly, a loosecannon, misfit, Bio:Juliet was brought up by her rich, uptight mother and father but never appreciated everything they did for her. Often scolded for her eccentric behavior as a child, Juliet is very reserved now, holding her tongue and bottling up her energy to be the proper girl her parents want her to be. Picture: Other:The reason Juliet and her parents are traveling on the Titanic is to meet up with the man Juliet's parents betrothed her to in America. Name:Tom O'Malley Gender:Male Age:23 Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd)2nd Personality:Easygoing, friendly, wild, outdoorsy, bold Bio:He had dreamed of traveling to the free land and leaving Ireland for a new life. He led an okay life, working in his father's business, but it bored him. He wanted adventure in his life. Saving up his money, he bought one ticket for the RMS Titanic and is anxious for the day he'll arrive in America. Picture: Other:

Ooc: JOiningggggg!!!! <3 Name: James Hightower Gender: Male Age: 18 years old. Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd) 1st. Personality: Quiet, observant, loyal, protective, proper, polite, can be a bit of a worrywart. very open to other ideas. calm, mellow, humble, logical. Bio: James is the oldest of his parents' children, and the only son. His little sisters are wild, at least compared to how he acts. He thinks he is the one that decides his family's honor, his family's reputation. And he is sort of right. The first son always has the pressure. He tries to discipline his little sisters, at least the younger two of the three, but it never prevails. He's given up by now. James's aunt and uncle live in New York City. They've assured James's parents that it's quite nice, if you know the right people, at least. So they bought tickets for the Titanic and plan on meeting his aunt and uncle at the port. James isn't sure about this, not at all. He's lived in Britain his whole life and now, randomly, they decide to move to a new country? The relatives are pretty radical, too, in his viewpoint. He doesn't get it, and probably never will. James is very smart academically, but he excels at writing poems. He has a knack for rhyming and making the words fit together like a puzzle. He doesn't flaunt it, though. When he showed his father one of his works when he was younger, his father told him to keep it secret; writing flowery, lovely things like that was not for a Hightower boy to do. So, James doesn't. Picture: Click here for his picture.Other: Claimed by Callie. Might make his sisters later :]

ooc: Fuckyea, I'm joining this bamf voyage. Name: Louella "Gabrielle" Meloury Chambers Gender: Female Age: 17 Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd)Personality: People that meet Gabbi would think that she's an outgoing, fun loving girl. However, that is just the exterior, although she's confident on the surface, she's a bit helpless underneath. She somewhat struggles with the real world, because she has lived in luxury her whole life. But, she's trying. She can't live like that forever, she knows that. Bio: The Meloury Chambers are one of the richest families in England, and have been such for a very long time. Centuries, even. So, you'd expect someone to want to stay in that kind of luxury, right? Well, not in this latest batch of well-off children. Louella, the second daughter of Jonathon and Abigail Meloury Chambers, was what her society would've considered a "wild child." She constantly spoke her mind, and would ditch social events to hang out with some of the lower class children. Her parents did not approve, nor did the rest of the family. She would always be forced to be "nice", and act like she should. Louella never believed that she should conform to society, though. To be honest, she never did. Louella, for as long as she can remember, had a gift with drawing. However, not many knew of this talent, because her father declared that she couldn't get anywhere with it. So, she drew in secret, and developed a passion for it. She knew that this was what she wanted to do in her life, but Louella knew that this would never happen. So, she ran away from home and, with the flourishing amount of money in her bank, bought a ticket for the Titanic, hoping to obtain a career in America. 2nd class, of course, because she didn't want to be treated like a Meloury Chambers. She just wanted to be like a regular, human being. That said, she's registered on this trip as "Gabrielle Meloury", using her middle name as a disguise. Picture: Other: Regeristed as Gabrielle Meloury.

OOC: Also joining. Name: William Thorne Gender: Male Age: 19 years old Class (1st, 2nd, or 3rd): 1st Class Personality: Obedient, formal, polite, curious, short tempered, argumentative, quiet, adventurous, optimistic. Bio: William's parents had a happy marriage for a long time, until the days when his mom started spending all their money. Apparently, all of her friends had more clothing and nicer things than she did, and she couldn't let that happen, so she went on a spending spree, buying furniture, clothes, shoes, makeup, wigs, anything she could get her hands on to make herself and her family look better. It was torture for William and his father, being forced into that itchy clothing that was apparently oh-so-stylish. William's parents started fighting after that. Arguments about money, absurdity, his mother's attitude ensued, but in public, they were the picture-perfect couple. William was just a prop to make their family photos look even better. His dad cared, but it became quite obvious that his mother cared about nothing and no one but herself and her image. Not even her friends. She didn't care about them. William's father put up with it for a few more years, but then he left her, taking William with him. He remarried, and William got two new stepsisters in exchange. One was spoiled rotten and hated William's guts, while the other was quiet. She hardly talked. Ever. William was determined to get her to talk to him, though. He had long, one-sided talks with Isabel until she finally broke down and talked to him, as well. It didn't take much talking for William to find out that, though she was quiet, she had very strong opinions, and she wasn't afraid to share them with him. Sharing them with her mother, apparently, was a different story. Not that that was surprising. William and his father had been about third class by the time his father had gotten up the courage to leave his mother, but Isabel, her sister, Elizabeth, and their mother were first class, so Isabel had to act polite and proper all the time, all the while hiding her different opinions. She saw the world a whole new way that William had never really even thought about, but that was what made her interesting to talk to. Picture: Other: Sometimes he's called Will. Name: Nicholas Xavier Gender: Male Age: 20 years old Class (1st, 2nd, or 3rd): 3rd Class Personality: Outgoing, kind, jokey, sarcastic, suave, flirty, smooth, sneaky, rebellious, dreamer, creative, intelligent, courageous. Bio: Nicholas' family had always been poor. Always. When he was twelve, though, they tried to get him a job apprenticing as something. He couldn't hold down any of the jobs. Not a shoemaker, not a blacksmith, not a servant, nothing. Nicholas wanted to help, though, so he looked on his own. He found nothing. So he stayed at home, living off the little money his parents earned. What did he do during these days? He drew. Mostly nature scenes. Trees, rivers, houses... but he wasn't very good at those. It was the day he tried to draw the girl next door that he found where his true talent lay. People. Nicholas could draw people. And draw people he did. He often walked around outside and just people-watched, memorizing their facial features, their physique. Then, later, when he was back at home and alone, he drew those people. Ever since he was ten years old, he loved to draw. Money, though, got tighter, and his parents couldn't afford to get him sketchbooks anymore. They bickered all the time. Over money matters. The fights got louder and louder, and sometimes Nicholas' dad left the house and didn't come back until mid-afternoon the next day. He couldn't take it. One day when he was fourteen, he just packed up his things and left, stealing a new sketchbook before he really set off. Drawing made him no pocket change though, and stealing wasn't Nicholas' favorite thing, exactly. So, contradicting himself, he stole an acoustic guitar. That was the best day of his life. He stole Aja (yes, that's the name of his guitar) from this merchant who hated him just because he looked... scruffy. Nicholas didn't let Aja out of his sight, and he kept traveling. Eventually, he found himself in Paris, and playing on streets where there were many rich people got him up enough money to rent a decrepit old apartment. Two rooms; one bathroom, and one room for everything else. But it worked. One day when he was wandering and playing his guitar, he saw a girl that looked as dirty and homeless as he used to. They introduced themselves, and Nicholas let her join him. The girl, who introduced herself as Chastity, was grateful for the chance to bathe, and they became fast friends, still together to this day. Really, they have no one else. Picture: Other: People call him Nick a lot, but only Chastity calls him Nicky. Name: Chastity Hart Gender: Female Age: 18 years old Class (1st, 2nd, or 3rd): 3rd Class Personality: Jokey, skeptical, fiery, independent, loyal, courageous, stubborn, sarcastic, pessimistic, sneaky, inventive. Bio: When Chastity was thirteen, her dad went off on a fishing trip (he was a sailor) that was supposed to get a lot of fish and make them a lot of money. He never came back, and she and her mother got a letter saying he was lost to sea. Chastity's mother drowned her sorrows in a bottle and shopping. She was always buying new dresses and shoes, and it didn't take them very long to go completely broke. They stayed with a friend of her mother's for a while before they were kicked out of there, too. She put up with her mom's problems for another two years, until she was fifteen, and then one day, when her mom was gone from their current "camp", Chastity took her chance and ran for it. She was fifteen. She wanderered the streets for a few days, slowly starving. Chastity got caught when she met a boy who couldn't be much older than her. She'd been stealing from an empty cart, and he'd noticed, so he offered to give her a place to stay and to feed her. The boy's name was Ben, and he hid Chastity in a barn his parents owned that wasn't near his house. He brought her food three times a day, and it was good food. They talked a lot, and eventually, Chastity fell for him and vice versa. A year later, they knew what they were going to do. Ben got his things, Chastity waited, and then they left. They ran away to Paris. Things were going perfect in the abandoned house no one knew they were in, until one day Ben was drafted for the war. No one knew where he was, but since he was drafted, he had to step forward, or things would get a lot harder for the two of them. Chastity begged him not to go, but he had to. She hasn't seen him since, and it's been two years. Chastity knows he's dead and gone by now. After that, she was on her own again. Only for a few months, though. Then she found Nicholas, and, both orphans by choice, they stuck together. They're best friends now. Picture: Other: Nicholas calls her Chass. No one else does, even though she doesn't care either way. Name: Isabel Dawson Gender: Female Age: 22 years old Class (1st, 2nd, or 3rd): 1st Class Personality: Cautious, quiet, gentle, dreamy, opinionated, naive, sweet, caring, curious, argumentative, intelligent, withdrawn. Bio: Isabel once made the mistake of speaking her mind about something the grown-ups were talking about when she was around seven, forgetting the cardinal rule of not speaking unless you're spoken to, and to keep your mouth shut unless you're agreeing with the other adults. She was reprimanded by her mother later, for even thinking about the subject of flying. Humans couldn't do that and it was an absolutely absurd thing to think about. Elizabeth had been laughing at her, and Isabel just went along with what her mother said. From that day forth, she decided as long as she didn't talk, she wouldn't get in trouble for saying something wrong, right? Unfortunately, not talking proved a lot harder than she had first thought. Elizabeth rarely talked to her, and the same went for their mother. She was an outcast daughter, the one her mother wished she'd never given birth to. She had her own opinions and tried to share them. For that, she was automatically weird. Isabel became accustomed to spending her time alone, and she even started to enjoy it. At first, she'd hated it, but apparently, given enough time, she'd come to love it. These days, she's usually surprised when someone even looks at her. Used to being invisible has become Isabel's thing. Well, until she met William, who seemed to be greatly interested in her opinions. She didn't understand. And he seemed so happy when she shared them with him. Isabel had to wonder if she was just a source of entertainment for him, or if he actually did care. No, William was too kind not to care. Isabel grew to enjoy his company, and looked forward to when the rest of the house was asleep, when he came to talk to her. She doesn't love him or anything like that, as Elizabeth suspects, but William is the one person she can open up to and be herself around. Obviously she likes him because of that. Picture: Other: William has taken to calling her Izzy, but she isn't very fond of it.

OOC: I say we start. Kitt won't miss much. April 10th, 1912 11:45 A.M. At The Port Juliet"Come, darling," my mother called, taking small steps as she walked ahead of me. My father took my arm, smiling down at me as he helped me hurry along. I kept my head down, not saying a word as we attempted to make a grand entrance onto the ship. I was impressed by it's...bigness, basically. It was incredibly fancy for a ship, but it's nothing I wasn't used to. I straightened my overly large hat so that my face hid in the rim's shadow as we continued to walk towards our room. TomI panted heavily, running with my bags in hand. I swore under my breath, praying I wouldn't be late. I thought I would have more time to get to the port before the ship left, but maybe I had miscalculated. I stopped as I reached the line to board the ship, catching my breath. This was the second class line, I believe. Yes, the third class line is the one lined up for inspection. Lucky me, not having to through inspection like the poor people. I tsked under my breath and turned to eagerly await my turn to board.

Gabrielle
I frowned and looked down at the dock below me as I passed by a couple of first class people that I knew well. I could hear them, they were gossipping quite loudly...about me. I wasn't suprised, though, because I knew that this would happen. "Stupid girl," I heard one woman say, loud and clear. "Running away like that, from such a luxury." "It's absurd," a man agreed, taking an expensive cigar out of his pocket and lighting it. "But, what do you expect? It is Louella we're talking about." "Yes, of course it is. She was always a bit odd." I made a face in disgust and decided then and there to draw my attention away from the conversation. I joined the second class line once I found it, and was glad to know that I blended in well with the whole group. Luckily, I had decided to buy some more "common" clothes, and I knew it was a good idea. If I had worn what was already in my wardrobe back at home... ugh, I'd be identified easily. It was quite strange that just a simple change of style could masquerade my identity. However, I knew that there was still the chance that I could be noticed. So, if I kept my head down low until I got to America, I would be all good.

William
I stood by Isabel in the first class line, trying to get her attention, but she was too busy looking around in awe. She didn't leave the house much, so she'd probably never seen this many people. Not to mention the Titanic was a sight to behold. I looked over to the line of third class people, who were more in awe than Isabel was, which wasn't very surprising. They'd probably never seen something so extravagant in their lives.
Chastity
"Come on," I hissed, holding a hand to to Nicholas and pulling him through the window. We both ended up on the floor, and when we realized what had just happened, we grinned at each other. "Did we really just..." "Sneak onto the Titanic? I believe we did, my friend," I said with a smile as he stood up and held a hand out to me, which I took and pulled myself up.

OOC: Okay Alex! JulietThe room we were in was quiet nice; it was like living in our home on a ship. There was a parlor room, a bedroom for me and my parents, a bathroom...But again, this was all expected. It annoyed me, sometimes, how well things came to me. Most people would dream for a life of luxury and money, but I'd rather work for it and be proud of what I'd accomplished than just have it all delivered to me on a silver platter. "Juliet, darling, are you going to stay in that dress all day?" My mother asked, her tone already sounding disapproving. I sighed. "No, Mother." She nodded and helped me out of the dress, then replacing it with a smooth silk one. "Will you be staying with me and your father for this first day?" I made a face that she didn't see. "I'd prefer if I could..." Don't say explore. They would say no. "...walk about the ship and see if I recognize anybody, or if I bump into any friends." "All right, dear, just don't get lost." TomI turned to look at a girl (Gabrielle) who had walked up in line behind me. "They won't cut the line short if they can't board us all on time, will they?" I asked her nonchalantly.

OOC: Sorry. I make my charries now. I apologise if they suck. Name: Olive Staines Gender: Female Age: 18 Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd) 3rd Personality: Olive is quite dreamy, never really seeming all that sane. Bio: Olive's parents owned and ran a grocery shop, but Olive had no ambitions to carry on her parents trade. She was interested in books all her life, and often wrote little stories. She has spent the past year working on a manuscript and she is travelling to America in the hope that her book will make it big. Picture: Other: Nup.. Name: Reuben Stahl Gender: male Age: 20 Class(1st, 2nd, or 3rd) 1st Personality: Hides his emotions well, gentlemanly, follows societies rules, but secretly dislikes the way that the poor are ignored. Bio: Reuben's father was a rich German aristocrat, who left Germany when Reuben was four for reasons he never explained to his family. Reuben's mother died recently, and his father turned to alcohol. He was ashamed, so he took half of the remaining money and decided to make a better life in America. He shows little guilt for abandoning his father, but inside, he loathes himself because he knows his father will end up in a gutter. Picture:Other: None OOC: Mayz I claim Juliet for Reuben? Olive I smiled as I queued to go on to the ship, glancing up at it. I was sure that the manuscript was in my case, since my parents had insisted I check multiple times that it was there. I frowned when I remembered that if I hadn't got it, there was no point in going. Reuben I frowned as I walked towards my cabin. I suddenly wished I hadn't gone first class, despite the fact the ticket had only used a small portion of the money.

OOC: Not just that. Jack is a third class passenger and Rose is a first class. They're not supposed to be near each other at all, but they fall in love, meaning Rose was cheating on her first class fiancee. JulietAfter fixing my hair up into a slight bun, I left the cabin, closing the door behind me. Walking through the crowding hallways, I decided to make my way up to the deck of the ship, wanting to watch the boat depart from the port and, even though I should be more 'proper', wave at the crowd watching, shouting goodbye.

OOC: I saw the advert... that counts?
Reuben
I left my bags on the floor of my cabin as I walked to the deck. It was quite a sight, seeing the people crowding the dock to wave goodbye to a loved one, or to simply marvel at the ship. "Hello. It's quite impressive, isn't it. The boat, I mean." I slid my elbows on to the railings to rest my chin on my fingers.

I frowned comically, "You know you don't need to call me that. And I wasn't expecting you here, either." I raised my eyebrows curiously, not saying anything.

Juliet I looked down at my folded hands. "Mr.Stahl, it's only polite to call you that. I...I was brought up that way." As much as I didn't want to. "I'm surprised the news didn't get to you. My parents and I are traveling to America to meet up with a one Joseph Montgomery, my...fiancee." I tried not to make a face at the word. I have only met the guy twice and my parents just decided to betroth me to him.
