I smiled slightly. "No, and thank you for appreciating that fact a little more than your mother." I turned my head slightly to look at her. "Are you... happy about the man you are to marry?" I asked, hoping that it wasn't a delicate topic.

Tough question. "Mr. Montgomery is...a nice man, but I don't know him very well," I answered carefully.
"Ten minutes 'till departure!" I heard a man shout from the ground below.

Reuben

"Ten minutes to run off this boat and make a life on your own, Miss Sinclair." I tilted my eyebrows at her, wondering if she would ever do that. "But if you do end up to dislike this... Montgomery, I am... staying in America."

"Thank you for the kind offer, Mr. Stahl," I said graciously. "But I don't think I'll be causing my parents anymore shame or disgrace."

Reuben

"Oh... I did not mean that in a flirtatious manner, purely as an offer from friend to friend." I felt myself blush slightly, something my family would have frowned upon if they had been here.

I blushed too, for that had not been how I had interpreted it. "Oh no, I only meant that I should just...follow my parents' wishes from now on. If I left them or my fiancee to live with another such as yourself, I think that would bring them great shame. I never was good at following their orders."

I nodded slightly, feeling awkward. "I apologise, Miss Sinclair, for being an ignorant twit about the English customs." I smiled slightly, hoping that it would ease our conversation.

I laughed quietly. "No need to apologize, sir. It's absolutely fine."

I smiled. "You are being formal... you are turning in to a young lady, verdammt. Now I may need to find myself another girl to talk sense with."

"Trust me, if it was up to me, I would not be acting this way at all," I told him truthfully. "It's incredibly hard to keep my energy bottled up inside me."

I smiled at her. "America is a large place, and if this Montgomery truly loves you, then I suspect you may be able to use that energy." I sighed.

I raised an eyebrow. "And in what way would I be using that energy, sir?" I highly doubt he meant what I was implying, but I felt like having a little fun with him.

I smiled cheekily. "Mein lieber , I am not a verschmutzt süchtig Narr" I shook my head, laughing slightly.

"I never thought you were," I said, laughing with him. "Ich war nur zu spielen, Liebling." I smiled, glad that I had been taught to speak many different tongues.

OOC: I was going to have him say something a little worse... but it didn't have an interesting translation, because my cousin isn't very good.

I nodded, surprised at her language skills. "Ich hoffe wirklich, du warst, Juliet Und beeindruckend Sprache, kann ich sagen."

I laughed again. "Warum ich danke Ihnen, Sir, aber ich nicht, was Sie sich erhofft entschuldigen."

OOC: It would help if my internet hadn't cocked up so I could remember the translations.

I laughed. "Frau Sinclair, ich hoffe, Sie wollen mich nicht zu ... " I raised an eyebrow at her, smiling slightly.

I glanced behind me at my chattering sisters. Would they ever learn? Mother and Father seemed to be doing nothing to stop them, so I nudged the oldest, Irene.
"We are about to board the best ship in the world and all you can talk about is petty gossip?"
Irene merely smiled. "So sorry, dear brother. I wasn't aware you were listening," There was a hint of smugness in her voice, and I knew from that tone that I had been a topic in this conversation.
"Sisters," I muttered as our parents waved us on. Even my sisters were silenced at how fancy, how incredible this ship was.

"Nein, ich weiß nicht, Herr Stahl," I replied. "I think I would like to go back to speaking English if you don't mind."

I nodded. "As would I, Miss Sinclair. There is only so much German you can pick up at four." I smiled.

"I have to agree considering I wasn't born into a German family," I responded. "I only started learning to speak the language four years ago."

I frowned slightly at the thought of this - if they did decide to cut the line short, I would not be impressed. Especially if they did such just to remain on a schedule. I mean, people would have saved up so much money to even board this cruise liner, not that I had to even worry about that... I eventually shook my head. "I don't think so," I answered, pursing my lips. "It would be extremely high-flown and arrogant to do such a thing." I mentally slapped myself for the use of synonyms; talking in such a manner would be someone from first class would do. I made a mental note to learn how to speak in a less proper demeanor in the future.

I nodded, a bit surprised by her tone and manner. "I suppose so. May I ask your name, Miss?"

"Gabrielle," I replied, smiling innocently. "Gabbi for short. And you are...?"

"Tom," I said, sticking out a hand for her to shake. "It's nice to meet you, ma'am."

When we boarded the ship, I looked around. It was huge. I would guess that the indoors part with our rooms and such would be equivalent to our rooms at home. Isabel looked even more in awe than I was, and I saw her mother roll her eyes at her before walking off with her sister. I had no idea where my father was, just that he was around here somewhere.

Nicholas

"Come on, come on!" Chastity exclaimed once more, taking my hand and tugging me out of the room and up the stairs so we could see the view from on the deck. I could sense that she was getting impatient that she was trying to run and pull me with her while I was still walking, slowing her down. I chuckled and sped up a bit more, following her onto the deck. Chastity looked around with wide eyes, and I just looked around casually. All these people...
"Nicky, look... it's so..." she struggled for words, and I smiled fondly at her and the use of the nickname she'd given me, though most of the time, it got on my nerves.
"Out of our league?" I suggested.
"Thinking about courting the ship, are you?" she asked teasingly, smiling back at me.
I laughed. "Well, she is a beauty, you can't deny that one...."

I shook his hand. "Likewise."

James
"Come, girls, we will get settled into our room. Coming, Arthur? James?" My mother asked. I shook my head, I was staying here on the deck for a while. To take in the last view of land for a few days; I had never liked the actual ship ride much.

"Five minutes until the ship leaves port!" The man down below called again. I felt my stomach flip with anticipation. I wanted to ask Mr. Stahl - or Reuben, anyway - if he felt the same, as excited as me, but I knew better than to.

The line moved up gradually. "We're getting close. I think we might just make it," I said with a smile.
