Titantic: Maiden Voyage

I scoffed slightly and smirked. "I don't know, they might just decide to cut us off at the last minute."

"And I thought I was the pessimistic one," I said with a laugh.

Gabrielle

I smiled and shook my head slightly.

Tom
"Ticket, sir?" a man asked.
I turned, not realizing that we had finally reached the front of the line. I held out my ticket, trying to keep the grin off of my face.
The man inspected it, than gave it back to me. "Hope you enjoy your voyage on the RMS Titanic, Mr. O'Malley," he said kindly.
"Thank you," I said graciously, walking quickly onto the platform and up onto the ship.

Gabrielle

I handed my ticket to the man, and, before he could begin his "enjoy your voyage" speech, I glared at him. "Don't mention it," I growled.
He tilted his head in confusion. "Are you sure you've got the right ticket, Miss--"
"I said not to mention it," I repeated, "and yes, I'm sure." He was trying my patience, so I snatched the ticket from the man and walked onto the platform and into the ship. He was so close to mentioning my name, and I'm glad that I stopped him.

Tom
"Holy..." I started to gasp. This ship was...huge! Like, really huge! I gripped my bags tighter and looked at my ticket, then walking through the passegeway up a few stairs to the second class floor. I couldn't wait to see this grand clock everybody had been talking about...if people lower than first class could go there, anyway.

Gabrielle

Since I had no idea of where I was heading, I decided to just follow the Tom guy before. I wasn't that interested in the ship, really - I had been there, done that all before. However, I still tried my best to look like as if I was in awe.

Tom
"Cabin 119...I think this one's mine then," I said to myself, opening the door. Wow...I bet this room isn't as impressive as the first class rooms, but it's nicer than my room at home.

Juliet
A tap on my shoulder made me turn around. "Getting acquainted?" a woman asked.
"Mrs. Brown, hello," I said, smiling politely.
"Juliet, dear, just call me Maggie. Come, walk with me, talk with me. I want to hear all about your engagement to Joseph Montgomery," Mrs. Brown said, hooking her arm in mine and leading me away from Mr. Stahl.

I nodded as Juliet walked away. I never quite knew what to think of her, she seemed... I didn't know whether I couldn't describe her, or I just didn't want to admit I was clueless about what I thought of her. I sighed, turning back to the dock.

Juliet
"There's nothing to tell, really," I told her.
Mrs. Brown laughed. "How about we discuss how handsome his beard is."
I wrinkled my nose. "I...I prefer clean-shaven men, actually."
Mrs. Brown laughed louder. "Darling, you are the funniest first class girl I know."

[Callie]

Chastity

"I suppose that's true," I said with a small smile, grabbing Nicholas' hands and dancing around the deck with him.
He groaned, but it was followed by a laugh. "You're crazy, you know that?"
"We're on the Titanic, Nicky! The unsinkable ship! And we're going to America! That's enough reason for me to act as crazy if I want, I do believe," I told him with a grin, still dancing around with him.
He just shook his head at me, twirling me around with his signature small smile. Then I took control again, and we were dancing randomly around the deck. Eventually, I accidentally knocked Nicholas into two first class women (Juliet and Mrs. Brown xD) and my eyes went wide. I could tell from their clothes how high up they were in the class ladder or whatever, but I could do nothing but stand there in shock. Whoops.
Nick had no such problem. "My apologies, ladies," he said, bowing his head slightly before taking a step back from them.

Juliet
I jumped back in surprise when a man ran into me, but recovered quickly, smoothing down my ruffled dress.
"Don't worry about it, lad! I know how wild you young boys act," Mrs. Brown laughed. She released me, then said, "Speaking of young boys, I have to go find my Larry. I'll see you at dinner, Juliet."
I watched her walk away and then looked at the man that had run into me. "It's no trouble at all," I assured him, tucking a loose stand of blonde curl behind my ear.

[Callie]

OOC: I was totally expecting Mrs. Brown to blow up at him.

Nicholas

I gave a sharp nod and smiled assuringly at her. "Well, I'm sorry once again, Miss... ?"

OOC: No, Mrs. Brown doesn't care. She's like the woman in the movie - the one that lent Jack the suit?

Juliet
"Sinclair. Juliet Sinclair." I informed him, smiling back politely. I was on edge, expecting my mother to appear out of nowhere and yell at me for talking to a third class person. "And your name, sir?"

[Callie]

OOC: Can't remember her. I really need to re-watch the movie. D: I miss it.

Nicholas

"Nicholas," I answered with a broad smile, taking a step back. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Sinclair. Er... well, knock into you, as the case may be."

OOC: It's an excellent movie. I watch it too often considering it's always on.

Juliet
"Pleasure to meet you too...Nicholas. I'm sure we'll run into each other again," I told him kindly. The ship's horn blew loudly, and I assumed we would be departing from the port now. How exciting. Four days until hell.

[Callie]

Nicholas

"I doubt it," I said with a slight smile before turning around and walking off back to Chastity, who had moved quite a ways since my chat with Juliet. Or not. She was eavesdropping a little bit away, and she stood straight up as soon as I came back. "Having fun?" I smirked at her.
"Well, of course. And since when did you get so polite?" she asked with a playful shove.
I laughed. "Since the times called."
"She's way out of your league."
"Who said I was thinking like that? Besides, I'm already thinking about courting the ship, remember?"
Chastity sighed dramatically. "But courting a real human is just so much more romantic!"

"I doubt it too," I murmured to myself. I was unsure what to do now; do I stay on the crowded deck or return to the room? Explore like I had intended to? No. I was much to fascinated by the man who had bumped into me. He seemed so...unlike the rare other third class people I've met. Too polite.

Nicholas

"Who said I was romantic?" I shot back with a small smile. "Now where to?"
She shrugged and continued dancing about the deck. "I think you should go talk to your first-class girlyfriend."

James
I was startled by the horn, it was too loud....my ears kept ringing for a while after. The ship was now moving, and I felt a sense of dread. I was stuck on this ship for four days now, and if anything happened--nothing will, James, it's the Titanic! Unsinkable!--I'd drown.
What a lovely thought to start my journey. I turned to go down to our room, but hesitated. Did I really want to listen to Mother rant to the girls? Not particularly...

I rolled my eyes. "She's not my girlfriend."

OOC: Yeah, but I want them to meet again later... during the party...

OOC: We need a better excuse for them to run into each other though

OOC: She should go talk to him, though. Because Nicholas doesn't want to bother her.

OOC: *comes up with an excuse for her to talk to him*

I was about to walk around when I noticed something on the ground near my feet. I hitched up my dress slightly so I could reach down and grab the wallet on the ground. I looked around me for a moment before opening the wallet and looking through it - for some form of identification, of course. Oh...it belongs to the Nicholas man. Taking a breath, I went over and tapped him on the shoulder delicately. "You dropped this, sir."

Nicholas

I turned around to see the girl from earlier. I took the wallet from her and smiled. "Thank you, Juliet. If I can call you that."

Juliet
"I suppose you can," I said with a small smile.

[Callie]

Nicholas

"Then you may call me Nick. If you'd like," I told her, putting my wallet back into my pocket. "My apologies, however. I don't wish to hold you off from doing... well, whatever you likely need to do at the moment."

Juliet
"No, it's fine," I assured him. "I have nothing to do, really. I don't mind you 'holding me off.'"

[Callie]

Nicholas

I chuckled. "Well, then. I suppose I'll stick around and keep you company... if that's what you want, of course. It's really up to you, as this isn't my part of the deck, anyways," I remarked, glancing around to see that Chastity was now nowhere to be found.
