"Maybe. I was just doing what I thought was right," I said, smiling slightly at his smile. The smile suddenly turned into a frown, and my eyebrows furrowed. "Something wrong?"

[Callie]

Sebastian

"Just our impending fate," I said with a wry smile.

[JennyxEli]

Juniper
"Oh," I mouthed. I tried not to think about it much, because dying terrifies me. And I didn't want to have a freak out right now.

[Callie]

Sebastian

I nodded a bit, and almost crashed into Sahara, who'd stopped. "This should work," she muttered. I wondered what she meant for a moment before I looked around and realized we were in a small clearing.
"Don't you think it's a bit... I don't know... obvious?" I asked.
She shrugged. "At this point, I don't care if it's obvious. Not to mention there are four of us and likely only one of whoever pops out of nowhere."

I surveyed the area and grunted. "I agree, it's too obvious. But if you insist we stay here, I guess we gotta follow the leader's orders, don't we?" I raised an eyebrow.

[Callie]

Sahara

"You can stay in a tree or something if you want to be hidden. Or you can go find somewhere less obvious. I'm staying here," I said. I didn't want to be the leader of this little... group. I didn't. Normally, I liked leading, but... I didn't know. There was something about it now that just made me uneasy. Or maybe it was just this whole thing that made me uneasy.

I scowled but dropped my supplies. "Okay then. What now, Miss Bossy?" I asked, tone indignant, and raised my eyebrows at her. "Want us all to set up camp for you?"

[Callie]

Sahara

I scowled at him. "I didn't ask to be made leader of this lovely little group, but apparently I am, anyways. If you don't like it, why don't you volunteer to be the boss?"

Sebastian

"I'll start the fire," I said quickly, heading over to the trees to gather some branches. I really didn't want to be dragged into that.

Anvl
"Because it seems like you are pretty determined to keep that spot for yourself. I think you like it. Should we bow down to you too?"

Juniper
"I'll help!" I offered, following after Sebastian and gathering up any twigs or branches I stumbled upon and trying not to make much noise in doing so.

[Callie]

OOC: I so imagine them fighting for a little bit more and ending up making out.

Sahara

I crossed my arms, kicking some of the dirt in front of me. In truth, I didn't know why I was so frustrated. Or why I really wanted to just kill him right now. It'd probably save time in the future. But another part of me was more emotional and told me I'd regret it, like I was beginning to regret that kid from earlier. "If it makes you happy, do whatever the hell you want. Like I said, I'm setting up camp here."

OOC: I know right?

"Well then get to it already instead of just standing around and saying you will," I retorted, almost wanting to get on her nerves, just because her mad was so amusing.

[Callie]

Sahara

Instead of tackling him to the ground and slitting his throat like part of me wanted to, I smirked and saluted him, going to help Seb and the new girl get materials for a fire. "As you wish, boss," I said mockingly.

"Now that's more like it," I sneered, watching her go.

[Callie]

Sebastian

I raised my eyebrows at Sahara when she joined us. "Feel better?" I asked, knowing that arguments seemed to make her feel less stressed and freaked out about things.
She smiled faintly. "A little," she answered, throwing some branches into the same pile Juniper and I had been throwing them into.

Juniper
I was confused by why she would feel better after just having what seemed like a heated argument with the District 2 boy, but I comment on it as I continued to gather more wood.

[Callie]

OOC: Yeah Juniper, Sahara's weird. xD

Sebastian

"Think that's enough?" I asked Sahara after a while.
She just shrugged. "Probably. You happen to pick up a lighter of some sort from the Cornucopia?" she asked me.
I rummaged in my pockets, then shook my head.
"Or a blowtorch?"
I snorted, but shook my head again. "Nope."
Sahara looked over to Juniper. "What about you? Do you have anything that could light a fire? Or, erm... knowledge of how to light one without a lighter?"

I raised my eyebrows delicately. "You don't know how to start a fire without a lighter?" I shook my head in disbelief, but I wasn't trying to make either of them feel bad about themselves. I was honestly just surprised.

[Callie]

Sahara

I smiled faintly. "I did once, but I kind of forgot."

Juniper
I nodded slightly. "Well, I can do it for you, or show you how to.."

[Callie]

Sahara

I just motioned towards the pile of wood. "You can do it. I'll watch and re-learn."

Juniper
I nodded to signal that I would and searched for two stones among the grass around us. When I found two decent sized ones, I crouched next to the pile of wood and began striking the stones together, creating friction between them. Sparks started coming off of them, and by keeping the rocks close to the wood, eventually a spark caught, and the wood was slowly charring as flames licked up around and in the pile. I stood up and looked back at the girl. "Did you get all of that?" I asked politely.

[Callie]

Sahara

"Yeah," I said, about to take a seat by the fire when Seb elbowed me in the side and shot me a meaningful look. "What are you, mom?"
He looked slightly hurt, so I bit my lip and looked back at the Juniper girl. "Thank you," I said, then sat down. I didn't see why we couldn't bring Mom up now. We didn't usually, but then, we weren't usually sent to our deaths, so...

Juniper
There was a little exchange between the siblings, and though I was curious and wanted to know what that was all about, I didn't say anything. I shouldn't be nosy. I sat down where I was standing letting the fire warm me. "No problem," I answered softly.
"We'll have to put out the fire before we go to sleep," Anvl grunted, "or else people will see the smoke and the light and kill us while we sleep."

Sahara

I just nodded in agreement, staring into the flames of the fire. "Two of us should keep watch while the other two sleep," I commented. "Halfway through the night, we can switch." I doubted one tent would be big enough for four of us anyways.

"I'll take first shift. I'm not feeling very tired anyway," I said with a shrug. I reached into my bag and broke off a piece of bread for myself, savoring the food as I popped it into my mouth.

[Callie]

Sahara

Sebastian didn't say anything about wanting to take the first shift with him, and I wasn't letting the girl stick around with him (because he'd probably kill her if I did), so I just shrugged a bit. "I'll do first shift, too."

I raised an eyebrow at her and fought back a smirk. "All right. Shift buddies."

[Callie]

OOC: OH THE SEXUAL TENSION.

I raised my eyebrows at him curiously. "Yeah, shift buddies."

OOC: I KNOW RIGHT? But it's Juniper and Seb that'll be in the tent together.

"Should we start setting up the tent?" I asked quietly.

[Callie]

OOC: oOooOoOooOOo. xD

Sebastian

I nodded a bit and got up. "Sure." My stomach was rumbling slightly, but I ignored it. I would stop ignoring it when I felt like I'd die if I didn't get food. Until then, I'd have to deal with it.
