"Nathan, come here. We're going home," Masters said.
"Actually, I do believe he said he wasn't going anywhere with you," I told him, raising an eyebrow. "Are we going to have a problem, Governor?"
"Don't we always, Izzy?" he muttered irritably.
I smiled pleasantly at him. "Well, you did start it," I pointed out. "By the way, you just may want to call a town meeting. I have a proposition to make."
He eyed me warily. "What?"
"Well, if you call the meeting, I guess you'll find out, won't you?" I gave him a two-finger salute from my forehead and turned around, walking off.
"Wait!" he called, sounding exasperated.
"Yes?"
"... Come here."
I just glared at him.
"I've gotta make the announcement, don't I?" he asked wryly.
Reluctantly, I turned back around and started to follow, keeping my gun at the ready. Then I heard two more sets of feet and assumed it was the one Cross and Harlow.

Nathan
I relunctantly followed, only because I did not trust my dad with Izzy. I knew she could take care of herself, but...
Tara
Who in the hell was Governor Masters bringing back to the house? Well, two of them were naughts, like me, and the others were Nathan and another Cross I didn't recognize. I studied them from the window, unusually curious.

Izabelle

When we got inside, Masters barked, "Tara! Escort them to my office."
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, relax. I know where your office is, and I'm not letting you servants serve me. You irritate me enough when you don't boss people around."
The Cross and Harlow were looking around like they'd never seen a place this big before. I guess I just didn't pay attention to the details. Busy making death threats and all that.
"Nice to meet you, Tara," I told her, nodding slightly and smirking at Masters just to piss him off.

Tara
I sighed and walked with them anyway, knowing a punishment was on me if I didn't. "Same, Miss." I said smiling forcefully, then losing that smile as soon as Masters was out of sight. I looked back at Nathan. "Mind telling me why the hell you have a gun?" I asked him, and he just grinned. I couldn't help but smiling back, he looked like a little kid in a candy store. "Lovely to see you haven't lost the motherly thing, Tara." he said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes.

Izabelle

"That's mine, actually," I told her, taking the gun from him. "Sorry," I added, looking at him.

Trey

I looked around curiously as we walked. I didn't know these people, but I felt... comfortable with them, which was weird, considering they were carrying around shotguns. This place was HUGE!

Nathan
"Aww, damn. Well, at least I shot something."
Tara
I rolled my eyes and looked back further, behind Nathan. I let him pass me and smirked at him. "You look totally surprised. Never seen a mansion before?"

[Callie]

Trey

I shrugged. "I have, just... not as big as this. My family was more... modest, I guess you'd say. We didn't like to flaunt our cash."

Tara
I smiled a bit. "Well, Mr Mayor--" I said that a bit scornfully--"loves to live in style." I rolled my eyes.

[Callie]

Izabelle

"Tara - " Masters started.
"Oh, shut the fuck up," I said, already irritated.
"Izzy - "
"Izabelle to you."
"Whatever. I want you to - "
I rolled my eyes. "Really? You're gonna try to boss me around too? Just wondering, are you gonna try that with the wolves? Or are you gonna try to hang them? 'Coz I guarantee they won't put up with your shit."
He glared at me, but said nothing, turning on that weird thing that made it so he could talk to every Cross in their house and on the streets at once. A PA, I think they called it. "There will be a meeting in approximately ten minutes in the town square."
"Good job. Step one complete. Feel like a good Samaritan yet?"
"Shut up, Izabelle."
I didn't retaliate this time, just smiled angelically at him.

Trey

"I can see that," I murmured, smirking slightly as the governor got put in his place.

Tara
I fought back a grin. He was getting bossed around by a girl younger than me; I found that hilarious. "Well, here we are." I said in a monotone to avoid getting bashed by the mayor even with Izzy around. I couldn't afford to lose my job. I opened the door and let the rest of them go inside.

[Callie]

OOC: Awww, Izzy wouldn't let the mayor hurt Tara xD

Izabelle

"Hmm. A bit lacking in decoration and not nearly as many skeleton heads as I'd expected, but I guess it's nice all the same," I remarked, smirking slightly. "Anyways, I'm off to find a bathroom - I haven't taken a shower in God-knows-how-long." Then I walked off to find a bathroom.

Trey

I couldn't help but laugh, then turned to Tara and asked in a whisper, "So where does he keep the skeleton heads?"

[Emmy]

Tara
I smiled. "His dungeons." I said seriously, then broke out into a grin.
Nathan
I didn't catch what she said, as Dad was too busy yelling at me for hanging out with such a disgrace. I made a point of rolling my eyes.

[Callie]

Trey

"Seems logical enough to me," I answered with a small smirk as the mayor told his son off. Great guy.

Izabelle

I managed to turn on the shower, then put some shampoo and blah and blah in, singing as I did so. I thought it wasn't very loud, but I wasn't completely sure. "Once more I'll say goodbye to you, things happen but we don't really know why..."

I watched as the governor left the room, and shook my head at Nathan's grin. Then he left the room as well, and I looked over at the guy. "So, you already know my name...what's yours?"

Karolina
"Yeah, Dad and Nathan aren't answering their phones and Daddy always picks up when I call. I don't know what's going on!" I heard weird noises in the distance but I dismissed it.

Gabrielle
I walked along the forest quietly watching the trees. A group of birds flew off from a tree and I heard a low growl.

Joshua
I sat up from where I was sitting and grabbed the gun when I heard something flying through the bushes. It kept running closer and I heard a howl in the direction so I let out a shot because of instinct. I didn't realize what I'd done until I heard a girl scream. Gabrielle.

Trey

"I'm Trey," I said simply, holding a hand out to her.

Harlow

I shrugged and headed out of the mansion. I was sure Izzy would find me later anyhow. I wasn't sure where I was going, until I heard a howl? Another? Stupidly, I ran towards it.

I ran over to where she was lying on the ground but felt caught. I could get her back to the hideout and help her, but whatever that thing was was close and could find my base. My sister or all the Naughts?

Harlow

I kept walking, then eventually found the wolf. I quickly shot it, then kept walking in the forest; I didn't know why. Eventually I found that girl from earlier, and some guy.

I sat up slowly and stared at the blood coming from my shoulder, "Why'd you shoot me?!"
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I thought you were a creature!"
Josh looked over at another guy, quickly aiming his gun at him.
"Stop it! I know him!"

Harlow

I looked at him cautiously, keeping my gun aimed at him as well, but I didn't shoot. "Are you okay?" I asked Gabrielle, not taking my eyes off the guy.

Lila

I stumbled across the dead body of the man I was looking for and my eyes went wide and I growled and checked his body for anything smiling when I hit the jackpot, my stuff and plenty of money to make me more well dressed. I pocketed everything and then ran as fast as I could back to the den, stumbling over a few branches I cut my leg open.

"Well, no surprise that Nathan won't answer. But...that's weird...I'll hang up with you, and I'll call Daddy. Ok?"
Tara
I shook his hand and glanced around. "Everyone left...."
Nathan
As I went off to look for Izzy I stopped at the bathroom, raising my hand to knock but stopping in midair when I heard Izzy singing. I smiled at the sound, and just stood there to listen.

[Callie]

Trey

I looked around too. "Looks like it. I should probably get going before school tries calling my house or something... then I'd be in some deep shit." I grinned.

Izabelle

Once I was done in the shower, I threw some clothes on and pulled a brush through my hair, still singing. "Once more you tell those lies to me, why can't you just be straight up with honesty, honesty, honesty, when you say those things in my ear, why do you always tell me what you wanna hear, wanna hear, wanna hear, oh yeah, yeah!" Once I'd gotten at least a majority of the tangles out, I opened the door and hit something. The governor's son. I looked at him like I thought he definitely had the potential to be a stalker, then just said nothing else and walked off, back to Masters' office.

"I'm fine, now both of you put the guns down," I told them calmly.

Josh
"Not until he does."

Nathan
"Ow!" I said rubbing my nose. "I was just about to knock on the door..." I called after her, feeling my face go red.
Tara
"You're still in school?" I asked, and I felt my heart sink a little. If he was in school, I was not dating him. Well, if he was in high school.

[Callie]

Trey

I nodded and grinned mischieviously. "Boarding school. Apparently teachers don't like sitting on tacks. Go figure." I shrugged.

Izabelle

I smirked to myself but didn't say anything and just leaned against the wall in the governor's office again. He wasn't currently in here, but that one Cross and Tara were. I didn't say anything to them, since they were talking and I didn't particularly care about much at the moment. I was kind of busy caring about the future of the world, actually. If things didn't go the way I wanted them to - needed them to - we'd be back at square one.

Harlow

I glared at the guy, and reluctantly lowered my gun, but kept it at my side. "Look, I'm not going to shoot unless you try to hurt her or me."

I rolled my eyes and lowered my gun too. "Yeah, because I'd try to kill my own sister."
"Again, you mean?" Gabrielle asked as she gestured at her shoulder.

Harlow

"You gonna need a doctor, or are you gonna try to tough it out?" I asked her, raising an eyebrow.

"I'll be fine," I replied as I sat up. Getting shot at wasn't exactly new to me... I had the scars on my stomach to prove it.

I shrugged. "If you're sure."
