"Maybe they aren't, but she is. She's the leader of the LM, isn't she? She's probably worse than the rest of the blankers," I told him, narrowing my eyes.

"But you wouldn't know if she's worse, would you? I bet you don't even know our town got attacked earlier today. She offered to teach us all to fight. Do you know how much nerve that takes?" I asked, still getting angrier by the second. I really didn't know why; I wasn't the type of guy to do this sort of thing.

Damion

I faltered for a moment, trying to think of something to say to that. "She's probably only doing because they're giving her money or something. Or she and the rest of the LM want to get us all in one place so they can just kill us all at once. Either way, I'm not coming."

Valencia

I got bored hanging out with the others, and I thought for a moment. I wanted to talk to Izzy, but I knew that she didn't go back to the base, so I headed to the graveyard, figuring that I could get two bird with one stone this way. I hadn't talked to Ryan in a few months, anyhow.

"She wants us to get along. And people like you won't let that happen. If you're going to have that attitude, good riddance. You probably couldn't fight those things anyway."

Damion

I narrowed my eyes at him. "And what makes you think I couldn't?"

Valencia

" 'Coz you have no balls," I said from behind the guy that was arguing with Nathan, smirking.

Nathan
Even though just about to say something, I looked back at smirked at Valencia's comment.

[Callie]

Valencia

The guy whipped around and glared at me. "Hold it. Aren't you Ryan's little sister?"
I returned his glare. "Maybe. What's it to you?"
"Didn't a blanker do it?"
"I don't know," I lied smoothy.
"Probably. So why the hell are you helping him in defending that one?" he said and started towards me like he was gonna try to start a fight or something.
"Stop," an authoritative voice said lazily from the stone wall nearby. I glanced up, following it. Izzy was sitting up there, dangling a gun in her hand. "Really wouldn't touch her if I were you." I couldn't see her, but I could hear the smirk in her voice, and the guy seemed to know he was screwed, but he didn't leave.

When Damion started to advance on Valencia I stepped in front of her, and was startled by the voice, but only for a second. I didn't need to look at her to know she had a gun; all I needed to do was look at Damion's face.

Izabelle

I hopped down from the ledge, holding the gun out lovingly. "Y'know, I wasn't going to use this, but if you keep it up... well, it has been a long time since I've gotten to use this baby."
The boy's eyes went wider. "You're bluffing."
"You sure?" I asked, and before he could answer, shot a bullet near his foot. He jumped back and fell over, then scrambled onto his feet, shaking wildly. "You're crazy!" he shouted, running off.
"I try," I muttered under my breath, putting the gun back. "You're okay?" I asked V. She was shaking again, but she nodded. "You?" I asked Nathan quietly. I shouldn't have saved her. I really shouldn't've. It was all just gonna come back to bite me in the ass someday.

I nodded. "Yeah." I said for clarification. "...Thanks."

[Callie]

Izabelle

I just nodded, unsure of what to really say. "I should get going, then."
"Thanks, Izzy," V said.
I smiled wryly. "Are you gonna get all mushy on me, kid?"
"Probably."
"Then I'm definitely outta here." And then I put the gun away, heading out of the graveyard without looking back. I wanted to visit Dad's tombstone too, except... oh. That's right. He didn't have one. They incinerated his body and kept the ashes.

"Well. That was fun. He really doesn't have any balls, does he?" I asked Nathan with a small smirk.

"He melted when he saw that gun, even before Izzy threatened..."

[Callie]

Valencia

I shrugged. "That's true enough... Where do we go from here?" I asked after a moment. I really didn't want to go back to my parents, and I wasn't sure if Izzy would take me in. Or if she'd even gone back to the base yet. She might've had something else to do and not be there yet. Not to mention her fellow LM members might not be so... well. Izzy-like?

I shrugged. "I'm the Cross, why are you asking me?"

Valencia

I elbowed him in the side. "I'm a Cross too, idiot," I reminded him with a smirk. "I need... well, a place to stay. And I'm assuming you do, too. Aren't you... not going back to your dad?"

I held my hands up. "Sorry, sorry. I'd like to say I won't, but...nowhere to go...I could probably get you a room or something."

Valencia

I looked up into the sky thoughtfully. "Nah. I think... I think I might see if Izzy'll let me stay with her. I don't know if she will or not, but it's better than trying to stay on my own. Besides, I'll probably be safer that way... since I'm no good with guns." In all honesty, I'd rather have Izzy around to shoot at stuff if I needed her to than to be on my own, defenseless against those... wolves.
