"Mine won't, either. I'm gonna neglect them terribly," I joked and smirked slightly at him. "So..."

I chuckled a little at that, and looked up at her. "Soooo what?"

[Callie]

Valencia

I shrugged. "So it's boring in here."

Governor Masters

I picked up my phone. "Yes?"

Karolina
"Daddy, it's Karolina. Some Naught freak just attacked me."

Gabrielle
"Don't diss my hair just because you're jealous," I told him a mock sweet voice.

[Callie]

Governor Masters

I made a face. "Describe him."

Harlow

"Oh, you know it," I said with a roll of my eyes.

[Ashley (;]

Karolina
"She," I muttered. "Uhh, I don't know. Blonde, skinny, pale, evil."

Gabrielle
"So how'd you end up working at the base near the forest?" I asked curiously.

Lila

I walked through the forest slowly making my way towards the district I had promised to meet him in, I knew that I was going to have to kill him this so I had the knife in my hand prepared. I knew I would get the gear and soon, it was just hard not to go through this without the drugs anymore, so much death and so much blood was on my hands I hated it. I turned my head suddenly when I heard two people talking, creeping towards them slowly I sighed when I noticed it was just Harlow and some girl, placing the knife in my jean band I whistled and laughed "Too easy Har......" I smiled and then walked in front of them and through the break in the trees.

"True that. It's pretty morbid waiting for impending death."
Tara
Some of the guards rushed outside. "Miss Tara? Get inside! The Governor was just attacked!" I got off my spot on the porch and took my own sweet time getting inside before they locked the door. Good that he got attacked.
Paisley
"Why don't we just go to the mall and go to random stores?" I suggested distractedly.

Mila

"Sounds epic...thats what we shall do then." I smiled looking out the corner of my eye at Paisley and then frowning, making a mental note to ask her what was going on.

[Callie]

OOC: ... crap. I just remembered that the governor's supposed to be knocked out in a closet... He didn't pick up his phone, okay, Ashy?

Harlow

I shrugged; I didn't really feel like sharing. Then I heard a familiar voice and turned around, smiling. "Hey, Lila."

Valencia

"Just a tad," I agreed, looking thoughtful. "Didn't you say your dad only really cares about your sisters?"

Paisley
I sighed and turned off my phone, not wanting to go on with this conversation anymore. I was having an abortion whether he liked it or not.
Nathan
"Yup. Probably because I hate politics, and my sisters are great attention grabbers."

[Callie]

Valencia

"Well, if you're right, then the LM isn't going to get what they want by using you as their bait," I said thoughtfully. "Not that they'd listen."

Gabrielle
I smiled at the other girl and turned to leave. If she was going into the forest, I needed to warn Josh.

Karolina
I frowned. Neither of them answering their phones? Something was seriously wrong. I tried calling Paisley and got her voicemail too.

Lila

"Well i'm going to grab some bits off a mate, Harlow are you coming with me or are you going to go with your new mate?" I smiled as she began to walk off.

ooc: Is Harlow claimed by anyone...Cause if he isnt can I claim him?

I could not survive without my phone, this I knew. I turned it back on and saw a missed call. karolina? I called her back. "Need me?"
Nathan
"Though I am the only son, he'll at least make an effort."

Valencia

"Oh." I had to wonder if my parents were in the same situation as his were, if they'd even try. They were still mourning over Ryan, and these days, I was just there. Another useless something to take care of. The freak of the family. Ryan was Mr. Popular - he made friends easily, and he could make people laugh. Not like me. I was always in the background, and just... not that important.

Harlow

I shook my head. "I think I'm gonna go into town, actually," I told her with a smile and a slight nod. With that, I turned and started heading to town.
When I got there, I looked around to notice I was in thr graveyard. Apparently I'd been following where my feet told me to go again. I sat down by Mom and Dad's graves, staying silent for a long time. "I'm sorry you two had to go through this," I whispered after a while. They'd been too soft for this world, this life, and they'd been killed in the crossfire. And after that, I'd sworn to myself that I'd be tough enough to do anything - even something totally cold and ruthless - without feeling a thing.
It failed more often than not.

"Sorry, did I hit a bad note?" I asked frowning a little. I did that a lot lately.

Valencia

I shook my head. "Nah, I'm fine."

Harlow

After a while, I stood up and started to head back when I heard a scream. I looked around, and saw a Cross running for her life from... something. It looked like a wolf, but it was way bigger than a normal one. It was like... like a mutant. Then it stopped chasing her and looked around, its gaze landing on me. It was then I knew this was no normal wolf. This thing was out for blood, and it didn't care whether the blood was a naught's or a Cross'. So I turned and I ran, all the way back to the base. I knew it was following me - it wasn't exactly quiet - but when it howled, I almost froze, it hurt my ears so much. But I dove into the base and looked up at Izzy. "Something's out there," I told her breathlessly.
Her features hardened and she nodded towards where we kept the guns. I grabbed a rifle and then started back outside. "You coming?"
"I'll meet you there."
I nodded and went back outside, looking around cautiously.

Izabelle

I headed into the cell where I was holding the two, two shotguns in my hands. "Can either of you shoot a gun?"
Valencia just looked at me, shocked. "I can try," she stuttered.
I tossed her one of the shotguns, then looked at the governor's son.

Nathan
I nodded. "This is where 'quality time' with my dad kicks in." I rolled my eyes at that and took the other shotgun from her. Then I heard an earsplitting howl outside. "Okay, what the hell is that?"

[Callie]

Izabelle

"I'm guessing that's the something Harlow told me about. C'mon," I told them, grabbing a shotgun of my own and heading out the door. "And just a warning, don't try and shoot me or we may have some problems."

Valencia

Oh my God, oh my God! I didn't even know how to load the thing, let alone shoot it! I was practically petrified. That changed, though, when one of the so-called "somethings" came barrelling towards the three of us. I let out an involuntary scream, but then there was a bang! and the thing was laying on the ground in front of us, dead. Izzy. Had she just... saved us? No, who was I kidding? We were just here; Izzy saved herself.

"Man, I had it loaded and everything." I looked back at Val. "You okay? You look...pale."

Izabelle

After arguing briefly with myself, I looked back to V. She did look pale.
"I'm fine," she said.
"V, get back inside."
"What? I said I was -"
"Inside, V," I hissed, then added, reluctantly but truthfully, "I'm not going to be responsible for both yours and Ryan's deaths."
She looked surprised, but she finally did as she was told and went back into the base.

I bit back a comment about a soft side showed there. "Are there more coming?"

[Callie]

Izabelle

For a minute, I waited for him to make the smart comment I knew he would, but he didn't. I hid my disappointment. I'd wanted to chew someone out; redeem myself, in a way. Then there was a loud howl from far off. "In town, apparently," I said, starting to run towards the sound. I couldn't see Harlow anywhere, and figured that's where he was.

Governor Masters

Once I'd woken up, I headed outside, wondering what in the world was going on. What WERE those things?!? Seemed I'd have to save my talk with Miss Weber for another day.

Without thinking about the consquences, I ran after her. I had loaded this gun and I was gonna shoot something, dammit.

[Callie]

Izabelle

Once we were in town, I could only see two of the things. I shot one, and, after a very reluctant, drawn-out howl, it was down on the ground.

Harlow

I was in the park, looking cautiously around, when one of the giant wolves practically flew past me, taking my gun with it. Shit. I turned around to see it slowly advancing. But... behind it was some Cross I'd never seen before creeping towards it and signaling me to be quiet. I did.

Trey

To be honest, I was surprised the naught actually listened. But that didn't matter right now. I saw the thing crouch down, ready to spring, and I ran, wrapping my arms around it's neck and digging my dagger in. It tried to wrestle me off, and it did, but then it just... keeled over.
The naught looked at me in disbelief. "... Thanks," he said after a while, holding out a hand to help me up.
I took it. "No problem."

Nathan
I saw another wolf that Izzy probably hadn't noticed; it was creeping up behind her. I pulled the trigger and it gave a death howl, falling onto the ground with a loud thud.
Tara
I glanced out the window absentmindedly and jumped when I heard some gunshots from that direction. What? I looked at the guards who brought me inside; they heard it too.

Izabelle

I whirled around, seeing the dead wolf. I scowled at the immobile body, then looked up to the guy. "Thanks," I muttered, looking around again. I saw Harlow and ran for him.
He looked at me incredulously. "You let him out?"
"Mm..." I didn't say anything much, let alone elaborate. I was looking at the other Cross in front of us.
"He's good, Izzy. He saved my ass," Harlow told me, blushing slightly.
I shrugged. "Whatever."
"Think they're all gone?" he asked.
I heard a very girly scream coming from my right, and turned to see the governor. I smirked slightly - oh, how I wished I had a videocamera. Instead, I loaded my gun, pointing it at him - y'know, just so I could see him get scared, and boy, did those eyes get wide - and then I shot the wolf chasing him.
He just looked at me in disbelief.
"I suggest you take your son and run, before I change my mind about killing you," I told him coldly.
"But... why?"
I gave a harsh laugh. "You're more ignorant than I thought if you don't know why."

I lowered my own gun. "I'm not going back to my father..." I murmured. Not already. If she had plans, well, this screwed em up. And besides. I'd had more fun today than in weeks.
