"That's okay, sweetie, I won't make you get it," I teased, patting him on the head condescendingly before pushing myself up and waddling over to the kitchen area where Adrian was smirking at me. I hit him playfully in the arm. "What are you smiling at?"
He laughed and ducked away. "You waddle like a penguin," he teased me with a grin.
I stuck my tongue out at him. "Oh, that's it. I'm painting your toes and fingernails pink when you go to sleep tonight."

I scoffed. "Oh, please. You know you'd find me even sexier with pink fingernails," I joked, doling some ice cream out for Aubrey and sliding the bowl over to her, then some for Dawn and handing her the bowl. "Andy, do you want any ice cream?" I called, looking over to him.

I felt so exposed in a red cocktail dress, but it was the last month of summer. I could get away with it.
