In a small town called Cliff, there is a population of 2,348, so compared, the town is fairly small. Cliff got its name because of the steep cliffs that surround the large pond: Meadow's Pond. The city is build around Meadow's Pond and it rests peacefully inside the cliffs. Many trees surround the town and they go all the way to the cliff walls. Most the people in this town have lived there their whole life, and so have their great, great, great grandparents who were here when the town was founded. The town is closely knotted and everyone knows everyone. sure 25 hundred people is a lot to know, but as everyone knows, big towns have dirty secrets, but small town secrets, are much bigger and much dirtier. This town has a lot of secrets, and thats probably how everyone knows everyones name. Everyone is hiding something. And when there's this many secrets, none of them can stay secret for long. People aways say rumors are never true, but in small towns, that saying is almost never correct. What secrets are you hiding and what do you know?

Bio: Maddi left Cliff when she turned 18, 4 months ago, because she couldn't bear to live with her dad. Now, she has returned, to find out her dad has left. Maddi has always been a bit rebellious and never really had a plan for her future. She likes to take risks.

Name: Danielle Roca
Age: 18
Gender: Female.
Bio: Danielle was only 9 years old when her father started to abuse her mother, it was brutal. Dani didn't know what to do and her mother refused to get help. Her dad had started to drink, a lot, after he lost his job - he was depressed and blamed his failures on his family. When Danielle was 14 he begun to abuse her instead and Dani's mom wouldn't help her. Her life was hell. She became pregnant with his baby when she was 16 and had to get an abortion, even though she felt terrible about killing a baby.
One night Dani heard her little sister, who was only 7 at the time, crying - so she went inside her room and asked her what was wrong. Her sister told her that their dad had hit her and that caused Dani to make a decision that would change her life forever. She wouldn't let her dad hurt her baby sister so she grabbed her father's gun and waited for him to come home. When he did she pointed the gun at him and shot. Her dad fell to the floor and she panicked, she grabbed a few belongings and ran away. She lived in an abandoned house for a few weeks before reading the paper one day - she read an article about a man who'd survived a gunshot. It was her father.
Danielle is terrified that her dad will find her and she's even more terrified of what he could do to her sister and mother, but she's too scared to go help them. She moved to Cliff since it was far away from home.
Secret: Tried to kill her father.
Personality: Withdrawn, paranoid, sweet, cold, emotional, quiet.

Bio: She was in love. She really thought she was. When she got pregnant at 16, she expected the father to help take care of their baby girl. Mistaken. He ditched her and left with another girl. With no financial support, Eileen's mother kicked her out of the house. Ashamed of what she had done, Eileen lives a sort of fake life, pretending that her 4 year old daughter, Bree, is actually her younger sister, and that her mother was not living a good life, so Eileen took her 'sister' and left. She moved to Cliff, where she could start anew.
Secret: Her little sister is actually her daughter
Personality: Warm, loving, over-protective, defensive, sarcastic

He couldn’t care less about the first three pregnancies, but when Ali got pregnant…it was too much for him. He ruined her life, so he thought. So he left them all, and has never communicated with them since.
Secret: Has gotten four girls pregnant; left each and every one of them
Personality: Really flirty, a perv, cocky, self-absorbed, every bad trait you can find in a guy…but has a really sweet, protective side

When Derryck was 16 his parents went on a cruise in the Carribean for their 20th anniversary, and they liked it so much, they decided not to come back. His parents send him money in the mail every month, a lot of money not a little.
Secret: Cheats on his girlfriend all the time.
Personality: Coniving, Sleazy, Funny, and can be sweet when he wants to be.

Bio: Rayne used to be one of the most outgoing guys you'd ever meet. Now, though... About a year ago, he met a girl. He name was Audrey. They hung out a lot, and got along well. Rayne, however, had to sit there, feeling sorry for himself while Audrey dated some other guy named Darius. One night, Audrey caught him making out with some other girl, and she immediately ran to Rayne. He didn't know what to do; she'd just had her heart broken, after all! So Rayne took her to a bar, where they both got good and drunk. The next day, they woke up in bed... next to each other. Audrey screamed and told Rayne to get out of her house. Even someone that was mental could tell what they'd apparently done. About two months later, not seeing Audrey anytime in either of them, Rayne got a call from her, telling him that she was pregnant with his child. Audrey ended up having twins, but she refused to let Rayne anywhere near them.  
Secret: He has twin sons.

Bio: Adrian never expected to be told he was going to die before he could even drink legally. It all started last year, when he broke his leg skateboarding. His parents took him to the doctor's, where they patched him up, and they said they may have found something peculiar, and they asked to do more tests. One month later, Adrian had been diagnosed with bone cancer. Since then, he's been "living life to the fullest" and pretty much ignoring his family. He figures if he distances himself from them, it won't be as hard on them. Adrian doesn't talk to people much anymore; he hates the gossip around here. Not to mention the fact he doesn't want to get too close to anyone.
Secret: He has bone cancer, and only has six months to live. 
Personality: Daring, sarcastic, loner, fun-loving, mischievious, troublemaker, pessimistic, stubborn.

Bio: Zack's parents don't know where they went wrong with him. He was such a social, great kid. But apparently, they didn't pay enough attention to him or something like that. So Zack made them notice. He stole a car, and the police figured out that it was him, but by then, Zack was gone. That, however, was two years ago, and now Zack is the master of escape artistry. He's like a modern-day Evil Knievel.
Secret: He's been wanted for grand theft auto for the past two years.

Bio: Dawn's parents got a divorce when she was four -four years. That's how long they were married. Then, after the custody battle, her father, Connor, got custody and moved them into a nice little condo in Las Vegas. And that's where Dawn remembers growing up. When she turned five, Connor taught her how to play poker, pool, and about every other game you can hustle people in. This is how Dawn makes her money, though no one knows it. It's like her second nature - she could hustle someone in her sleep, she's so good at it. When Dawn turned 14, her father passed away, and Dawn ran. She wanted to stay in Vegas. She had to. So she ran, and she hid, until she was 17. By then, she'd saved up enough money to move away from Vegas and somewhere... well, safer.
Secret: She loves to gamble and hustle people - she's damn good at it too.
Personality: Fun-loving, flirty, sarcastic, easygoing, friendly, reliable, sneaky, stubborn, good liar, smooth.

Name: Ella Wilson
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Bio: Ella may look precious and fragile, but she is anything except those two words. When she was young, her mother decided that she would do ballet, and be a professional dancer. However, Ella did not like that, so she rebelled. She started to hang out with the wrong crowd when she was taken out of private school and into public school at the age of 13, since she needed the extra money for lessons. She started to skip class and smoke, among other things. And once her mother found out, she was put back in private school, and was grounded for like, forever.
It didn't stop her, and she still hang out with her friends. And eventually, she decided to be a follower, and ended up robbing people and vadalising. And eventually, she got caught, and was thrown into Juvi. 3 years.
She somehow managed to run away. And she's gotten away with it too - she's been using her old 'innocent' look as a cover up. So no one can identify her as Ella Wilson, the girl that vandalized City Hall and took half of the campaign money. She looks like a naive goody-goody that just turned up in Cliff because she's lost.
Secret: She ran away from Juvi.
Personality: Rebellious, sarcastic, hot-headed, kleptomaniac. Takes a while to gain your trust.

Bio: Aubree had a great life. Before her brother had to go and mess it all up for her. Maybe her brother wasn’t the one to try and rape her, but he never believed her story, making their mom think she was a young murderer. Her mother told her she had to leave and not come back, so she listened. Aubree’s been on the streets ever since.
Secret: When she was 15, her brother’s best friend tried to rape her. She shot him.

I walk down the empty streets. It's the middle of fall, and leaves are drifting down from the trees. I stop in front of a pond. Not just any pond. It's Meadow's Pond. Myth tells me that there's a dead body in it. Probably disintegrated by now though. I sighed and sat down by it, picking with pieces of grass.

Ashton
I walked out of the drug store holding a Fanta and some cheese puffs, my favorite snack. I sat down on a bench and opened the bottle. I took a swig of it and put the cap back on. I then opened the cheese puffs and ate a few. I washed them down with the Fanta. A typical day.

Maddi
I walked past a few townspeople, giving them warm smiles. Fake smiles, of course. There's no reason for me to smile, other than the fact my dad is gone. I started to walk towards the park, my favorite place to relax.

I slipped an apple in my pocket and left the store, heading for the pond area. I'd always wanted to jump in it. Maybe I actually would today.

I walked along through town, smiling at the people walking by. Bree tugged on my hand.
"Where we go, Leeny?" she asked.
"We are going to the pond, baby," I said, smiling down at my daughter. She was a gifted child, and I was able to train her to call me 'Leeny' in public or around people and 'Mom' when we're alone. It didn't confuse her at all, and I was relieved to know it.
"Yay!" Bree cheered, and I chuckled quietly.
