OOC: Touche. But I miss Adrian posts. D: And Rayne misses Adrian. xD

Rayne

Yeah, that was it. I didn't want to stoop to his level, but I didn't want him to hurt Eileen or Bree, so I brought my fist back and let loose, punching him right in the face. "Get. Out," I said, my voice practically a growl. "I won't tell you again."

Dawn

I laughed and shook my head at him. "You're such a dad," I teased.

Aubrey

Eventually I pulled away, remembering Adrian's best friend. I didn't actually know him that well, because I'd only seen him once or twice, but I knew he meant a lot to him. "You probably want to tell Rayne you're not dying and all..."

Adrian

I smiled slightly at her. "Yeah, maybe... I'll call him later. I've been meaning to pay him and Eileen a visit sometime anyways."

Eileen
"Rayne, don't!" I shouted.
"Leeny, what's going on?" Bree wailed.
Eric brought his hands to his nose, touching the bit of blood that was starting to come down from it. His eyes glinted, and he spit on the ground. "Is that the best you got?" he teased.
"Eric, please stop!" I said, moving to stand in between him and Rayne.
"Move," he growled.
"No."
I knew it was coming before I felt it. He slapped me across the face, just like he used to when I was sixteen. "I told you to move!"

"I don't know if I should take offense to that or not," I murmured.

[Callie]

Rayne

I looked between Eileen and Eric incredulously before grabbing him by the collar and shoving him against the wall. "Don't you dare ever touch her like that again." I didn't know what to do. It was obvious he was probably stronger than me if that punch had hardly affected him, and if he wouldn't leave... What would I do? I had to keep Eileen and Bree safe, that was all I knew. But there was a limit to how much I could do to do so.

Dawn

"You shouldn't. I'm glad you are," I told him softly.

Eileen
"Why? Do you love her? Trying to be the big man here, are you, tough guy? Got some news for you, buddy - she was mine first. Get lost," Eric sneered.
"Leave him alone! Leave Rayne alone!" I screamed. I wanted to pull Rayne away from Eric, telling him he shouldn't try to fight him. I could tell my cheek was growing red from where he had slapped me.
Bree could tell something was wrong and her eyes were starting to well with tears. "Momma, I'm scared!"

Andy
I smiled slightly, leaning down and pecking her stomach lightly.

Rayne

"Yeah, I do love her. But it's none of your business. Not to mention I don't give a shit if she was yours first - I would never hurt her like you do. And I don't know if you've noticed, but this is my house, so... I think you can leave," I said venomously.

Dawn

I laughed when he pecked my stomach. "Ow!" I exclaimed; the baby was now doing a series of kicks. Maybe he was trying to swim.

Eileen
Eric pushed Rayne roughly away from him, staring down at him for a moment. "You guys didn't want to do this the easy way, so I guess I'll have to do it the hard way. Expect a court hearing soon, Leeny," Eric said coldly.
I stared at him in shock as he retreated backed up towards the door, staring at Bree in my arms again. "Bye, boo," he said, and whether he was addressing me or Bree I was unsure.

Andy
"That kid must be like me - rough and tough. Maybe Mommy needs a kiss now," I laughed, kissing her gently on the lips.

Rayne

I just stared down at the ground once he was gone. "Are you okay?" I asked her quietly, wondering how I could've gotten so out of control.

Dawn

"Well, I wouldn't mind one," I murmured before kissing him back.

Eileen
I put Bree down on the ground now, and she scampered back to her room. I touched my red cheek slightly. "Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." I looked at Rayne for a long moment before asking him, "And you?"

Rayne

I simply kissed her on the cheek and didn't answer, just looked at her, frowning slightly. I couldn't find the right words.

Eileen
After a few moments of silence, I finally broke down. "Oh, Rayne!" I cried, turning into him and wrapping my arms around his waist, burying my face in his shoulder.

Rayne

I wrapped my arms around her and let her cry. "Don't worry, he won't take Bree from us," I said soothingly.

Eileen
"I don't want her near him!" I wailed, sobbing into his shoulder.

OOC: Just realized I've been forgeting Andy. xD

Andy
"Does Mommy feel better?" I whispered, pulling away from her slightly.

[Callie]

Rayne

"He won't be." I'd make sure that happened, if nothing else.

OOC: I realized a while ago, but thought you might be having a mind blank, so... xD

Dawn

"Much," I breathed.

I cried for awhile longer, then eventually stopped, letting the tears fall silently down my cheeks. "Do you think he will? Take us to court?" I whispered.

Rayne

I frowned. "I think he might."

Andy
"Mission accomplished then," I murmured, kissing her forehead once before pulling back to look at her.

Eileen
I felt panic rising up in my chest. "They'll make us share custody. He's her father, after all. What are we going to do, Rayne?"

OOC: Writing that made me think of: "What are we going to do, Buzz?" "Use your head!" "But I don't wanna use my head!"

"We'll have to find proof that he was abusive," I said quietly. "I don't suppose you have anything like that?"

Dawn

"Now what?" I asked, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Unless you want to take a picture of my red face, then no," I informed him, which seemed like a good idea now that I thought of it. I sighed. I can't believe I was even in this situation.

Andy
"I don't know. I believe I was the one to ask you that a few minutes ago."

Dawn

"Well, now it's your turn to pick. Sadly, we can't be utterly spontaneous and be all 'let's go to Vegas!' since we're already here and all. Maybe we should... go back to Cliff for a while. I..." I shrugged. I didn't really have any friends there, except... "I wanna check up on a friend of mine."

Rayne

"Well..." I said, trailing off. That could work, couldn't it?

OOC: For some reason, I imagine them hiring Adrian as their lawyer.

I stopped from having an annoyed expression cross my face. "You don't mean Zack, do you?" That son of a...mother...

Eileen
I pursed my lips, not knowing what to say. "'Well' meaning we have to do it?"

Dawn

I shook my head fiercely. "If I ever see him again, I'm gonna..." I just let the threat dangle and then continued. "No, I mean... Have you ever met Adrian?"

Rayne

I grimaced. "It might be the only thing that might even remotely work."

OOC: It could be on his bucket list! xD "I wanna be one of those double-crossing jackasses that finds loopholes! I mean, uh, lawyer..."

I shook my head. "Never met an Adrian before, if you're talking guys."

Eileen
I sighed, falling onto the couch. "Everything in my life falls apart. It's been downhill since Eric left me. It got better after I met you, but of course Audrey fucking randomly showed up, and then I got shot. But then I moved in with you...but now Eric decided to fucking show up as well."

Dawn

"Yeah," I said. "He's a good guy."

Rayne

I grimaced, thinking to myself. "Hey, maybe we could - ! No, never mind. Bad idea."

I cocked an eyebrow. "What?"

Andy
"Any specific reason why you feel the need to check up on him? He's not a little kid, is he?"

OOC: OMG WHAT IF Audrey was a lawyer? xD

"I was thinking that we could set Audrey and Eric up on a blind date or something so that he'd get distracted, and she might loosen up and actually let me see Lysander and Lucky, but... yeah. Bad idea."

Dawn

I shook my head. "He's my age. And no, it's just... something to do. And you two might actually get along."

"That plan just sounds ridiculous...but I won't knock you for it," I said, giving him a watery smile.

Andy
"Hmm. And you're deadset on going back to see him anyway?"

OOC: But that would mean no Lysander and Lucky!

Rayne

I chuckled and kissed her hair. "Thanks. My brain apparently comes up with some screwed-up ideas when it's freaking out."

Dawn

I shrugged. "Not really. It's optional, of course, but I mean, I'd like to see the kid. From what I know, he, uh..." I made a face, "might not have much longer."

OOC: ...Not necessarily...? Maybe whenever Audrey and Eileen have to meet, Audrey brings Lysander and Lucky and Rayne watches all three kids?

I laughed weakly. "Don't worry about it. Happens to the best of us."

Andy
I stared at her for a minute, soaking this in. "Then I vouch that we see him."
