I shook my head and grinned. "You won't be a hobo with me here."

Eileen
I looked back at Rayne and sighed. "Really?"

Rayne

"Yes, really," I said, frowning slightly. God. Girls were... they were confusing. How did Adrian even know what to do?

Dawn

I smirked slightly. "Well, obviously not. Unless you've been lying and this isn't actually your house. Then I might be a hobo."

Andy
"Ha! No this is my house. I won a million dollars once, so I don't need to get a job." I kicked back my feet. "Yep, got plenty of money!" I smirked.

Eileen
"Well that's good to know," I said, trying to keep my voice from quivering.

[Callie]

Dawn

"Huh. A million dollars. Even I've never won that much. Though I probably have altogether."

Rayne

I got off the couch and took her hand, gently pulling her up too, and I wrapped my arms around her.

Andy
My eyebrow arched. "Oh really now? 'Cause I was just kidding."

Eileen
"Mm," I murmured. "And now what? You think you can just...say something sweet...and everything is all better?" I said as I nuzzled into his chest.

[Callie]

Rayne

"Maybe. But I think I'd have to use 'I love you, too' as my something sweet, and wonder if you believed me," I mumbled.

Dawn

"Yes, really. But I spent pretty much all of it, over time. And I figured you were kidding. This place is a dump," I joked.

Eileen
"It's pretty hard resisting you. You know that, right?"

Andy
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, thanks a lot." Wow, what a hussler.

[Callie]

Rayne

I just shook my head. "No, I have no idea."

Dawn

I pretended to zip my lips. "I'm gonna stop being a smartass before you get tired of my antics and decide to kick me out," I announced.

Andy
"Nah, I wouldn't do that. That's my baby in there too, remember?" I said, pointing at her stomach. "You might want to make an appointment with a doctor, by the way."

Eileen
"I wouldn't expect you to," I said, smiling. Wow, moodswing much?

Dawn

I grimaced. "But I hate doctors."

Rayne

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, letting go of her reluctantly and wondering how in the world I could've fallen for someone so hard so quickly.

Andy
"But the baby might be unhealthy and we'd never know," I pointed out. "His only chance is getting a check-up at the doctor's."

Eileen
I frowned. "Well no good person knows that they're really good. Only idiots think they're awesome."

[Callie]

Rayne

"Oh. I see your point. Adrian thinks he's awesome," I pointed out. "And he's not an idiot. Usually." I hadn't talked to Adrian in a while. I'd have to remember to do that. What was going on with him? He hadn't even called to harrass me about the date after it, and that just wasn't like him.

Dawn

I frowned. "Oh, fine. Let me use your phone then. And, uh... do you have a doctor in mind?" I hadn't been to a doctor in ages. Like... well, probably not since Dad had died, actually. And that was a while.

Eileen
"Wow, surprising," I said, breathing lightly.

Andy
"There's only one hospital in this town, but I wouldn't know," I said, handing her a cordless phone.

[Callie]

Rayne

I kissed her softly again. "Do you think he seemed too bad?" I asked curiously, smiling a bit.

Dawn

I frowned. "Do you at least know the number, then?"

Eileen
"Oh no, I have no problems with him. It's just...I could never live the lifestyle that he does."

Andy
"Yeah, I have a list of important places here, hang on," I grumbled, digging in a drawer under the coffee table. I grunted. "Here; doctor, fire department, police station, pizza place, takout...s'got it all," I said, handing Dawn the list of numbers.

[Callie]

Rayne

I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Dawn

I took the list from him and grinned. "I'm definitely calling the pizza place after this," I said, walking into the kitchen. I didn't want him to hear me for some reason.
I made an appointment for the next day and hung up, then dialed the pizza place. "What do you want on the pizza?" I asked Andy with a grin, peering around the corner of the kitchen.

"He's so carefree and a rebel. He tries thinks that I wouldn't dare do. I'm a coward."

Andy
"Pineapple!" I called. "Maybe pineapple and ham!"

[Callie]

Rayne

"You are not," I told her firmly, shaking my head. "And Adrian isn't as carefree as he lets on."

Dawn

"And pineapple and ham on one half," I told the guy, then hung up after telling him the address. "Ten bucks," I told Andy, flopping back down on the couch.

I shrugged. "Whatever you say."

Andy
"S'pretty cheap," I grunted, turning on the TV. "Oh look, an attempted terrorist attack," I commented, pointing at the screen.

Dawn

"Oh, the joys of Earth," I said sarcastically.

Rayne

I hugged her tightly, since it was obvious she wouldn't believe me.

Andy
I nodded absent-mindedly. "Here; I don't know what to watch," I said, passing Dawn the remote.

Eileen
"I should go check on Bree," I said worriedly.

[Callie]

Rayne

I let go of her and sat down on the couch. "I'll be here."

Dawn

"I don't either. I don't really watch much TV," I admitted.

Eileen
I nodded and went to Bree's room. Her breathing had slowed, kind of shallow. I went and got some Vick's from the bathroom; it'll open up her sinuses. I rubbed some underneath her neck and on her chest, so the smell could hopefully reach her nose. I sat by her side for awhile, just to make sure she would be okay.

Andy
"Then I guess we'll keep it at the news then," I said with a yawn.

[Callie]

Dawn

After a minute, I flipped the channel to MTV. "The news is depressing. Anything other than that."

Andy
I nodded in agreement. "Never watch MTV that much though."

[Callie]

Dawn

"They have good music sometimes," I said with a shrug.

Rayne

When I was sure that Bree would be fine for now, I headed back over to the living room, sitting next to Rayne on the couch. "Her breathing got weaker, but I think she'll be fine," I said, but my voice was still coated with worry.

Andy
I shrugged too. "Suppose so."

Rayne

"You think it's just a cold?" I asked her with a slight frown.

Eileen
"She's gotten colds before; I don't think this is her usual."

I grimaced. "That can't be good. Why don't you take her into the hospital?"
