"What was she like?" I asked softly after awhile of silence. "I mean...does she compare to you more than I do?" A blush creeped back to my cheeks. I didn't like asking personal questions because I didn't like invading people's privacy, especially when I bring myself into the mix.

"What do you mean, compare to me?" I smiled slightly, thinking back. "She was... a character. She wasn't fond of being told what to do. If you didn't ask nicely, she'd slap you and wouldn't listen. She was a dog person. Didn't get along with most girls, because, in her opinion, they were all petty bitches that would stab each other in the back over the stupidest things. She loved jazz music. She was a horrible singer, but she didn't care and she did it anyways."

I frowned. "That... well, sucks. I wish I could say I know how you felt. I sort of can. My freshman year, we moved to a new city, so I was sort of a double outcast. The teachers didn't like me because I was a freshman, the students didn't like me because I was new. It only took a few months for me to make some friends, though."
