As I was running a boy behinf me tried to tackle me down. Thinking quick I pulled out my switchblade and ended up stabbing him in the stomach. I closed my eye and pulled the blade out. Then I ran. I didn't really wanna kill anyone!

OOC: =O I claim Artan for Juniper. ...If that's okay. And Laney, a boy from which District? We need to keep track.

Juniper
I ran as fast as I could, not hearing anyone pursuing me. I gasped as I stumbled and fell to the ground. I got up wildly, but after awhile figured I was at least halfway into the jungle. I sat down in the cover of a willow tree, found a canteen in my backpack, and filled it with river water.

I felt a tear stream down my cheek. Why did I do that? I ran until I hit a tree. Quite literally acctually. I got up and rubbed my head. "That was stupid..." I climbed up int the tree and looked at my blade. I wiped the blood of on my sleeve. My tears mixing with the blood.

Corydon
I creeped around the tree and got to a river. Water! I cupped my hands and took a drink. I looked down the river and say a girl(Juniper) and I jumped. I ended up making alot of noise because I fell into the water. "Damnit!" I shouted then I cupped my own hand over my mouth

I screamed, jumping backwards. This was it. I was going to die. I fumbled to grab the tranquilizer ground that was on the ground next to me, pointing it at the boy in the river. My hands were shaking, eyes wide as I waited.

"PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" I said and I put my hands up. I cringed. "And if you are gonna kill me.." I gulped "Make it quick." I was dumb for not getting anything. I should've picked up a weapon or something

I lowered the gun. I hadn't realized the darts inside were filled with poison meant to kill until he had said that. I thought it would...hm. "I won't kill you," I whispered, though I still kept the gun in my hand at my side. I didn't know what he was going to pull; I was being stupid for not trying to take the opportunity to kill him.

I put my hands down, but kept them out so she could see them and know I wasn;t going to kill her. "Seriously?"My voice wavered. I took a few steps forward

Juniper
As he came closer, I took two steps back. "Yes," I whispered. I wasn't one to kill, even if that's the point of these games. I refuse to.

Corydon
"Thank you." I swallowed and turned away. I knew I never wanted to kill anyone in this place. I didn't want blood on my hands. But I knew I would die. It was bound to happen.

Juniper
I slowly slung my backpack over my shoulder, breathing slowly. Keeping a firm hand on the gun, I turned around and ran for it. I followed the river, so that I'd still have a water supply, but wanted to get as far away from people as possible.

Psyche
I ran as fast as I could, till I was surrounded by trees, no-one else near by. I had deliberately picked a spot that was still fairly far from the water supply, so that no-one would find me. I scrambled up a nice strong tree, with lots of leaves for camouflage, and waited.

I glanced back, scared of what would happen to me. I'd find a tree. A big, tall, safe tree so that I could climb up and look through the packs and hide from the world. It wasn't fair for them to do this to us.

Deen

I needed an ally. I'd never survive this alone. I would get to safety first, and then consider that later. I ran, and stumbled in to a river. I screamed. I couldn't swim, I'd never learned. "HELP!"

OOC: Juniper is still by the river, so...

Juniper
Oh God. Another person. I froze, unsure whether it was a trap or not. I saw a flailing body farther down away from me in the river. I bit my lip; what was with these people being so clumsy? I hesitated, searching through my backpack - nothing. I didn't want to jump in, but...I stripped myself of my shirt and pants(I didn't want to be weighted down by my clothes) and jumped in. The water was moderately warm, and I gasped, trying to swim to the person.

A girl - was she real or not? - was swimming over. "I'm not going to hu... hurt you!" I cried, splashing around.

Juniper
I realized it was a small boy now - not much of a threat anyway. I hoped. I grabbed under his arm and hauled him over to shore, gasping slightly. He looked about 12, making me around five years older than him. It made my heart wrenching knowing he would be killed.

I gasped once we were on the shore. "Thank you." I was dripping wet, but I wasn't cold. She was far older, taller ad stronger than me, but she didn't want to kill me. I smiled at her.

From my position in the tree, I looked down and spotted a girl, badly bruised and scratched. District 10? I didn't care. How she had survived the initial bloodbath, I did not know. But what I did know that if I didn't win, I would never see my family again. I picked up my bow and arrow, and fired a single arrow into her heart.

I ran through the forest and found a small spring. I stood in the silence for a while listening for another human. I didn't want to be attacked, I didn't want to die. Not yet.

I sat up in the tree looking around. Nobody seemed to be anywhere near here. I found that somewhat odd. I peeked out from the leaves. There was three people. But I didn't plan on killing anyone unless they came at me. So I his back into my tree and looked at my ring. "I'll be back, I promise"

OOC:*points to first page and at Juniper* I had a plot in mind for her. And this is the first annual games, Rachel. Careers have never formed together before.

Juniper
I smiled back at the little boy, my heart wrenching. "You're welcome." I let go of him, not sure whether he would run or stay around. I walked slowly back over to where my clothes were, putting them back on, and walked back and sat down next to the boy.

"You haven't saved me from the river to give the audience a good show, have you?" I asked her, still wary.

I looked at him surprise and shook my head. "No. I couldn't bear watch anybody die, especially somebody as young as you. You have barely begun to live."

I smiled. "Thank you, again." I murmured. This girl was nice, kind, innocent. She wasn't the kind of person who would kill. But she probably would.

I scrambled down the tree, and picked up the knife and pack of food she had, before climbing again to the safety of the tree, and looking through my own pack.

I shook my head. "It was no problem." I stood up, contemplating leaving.

I contemplated running away. "Do you need an ally?" I blurted. She'd saved my life, and I owed her.
