"Then maybe you should get some rest," I suggested. "We could probably all use it."

Mercedes

I nodded a bit. "Okay. I'm just gonna go back to my room, then..." I said, heading for the door that led out of the infirmary and biting back another yawn.

Marcus
I considered going with her to make sure she got there okay, but I didn't want to seem like an overprotective worrywart. Plus that hadn't really sounded like an invitation to come with her. So I left the infirmary and too headed back to my room, trying to remember where it was.

Mercedes

I glanced back when I was a ways down the hallway and saw Marcus looking sort of lost. "You can stay in mine, if you want," I told him, ignoring the fact that that could be taken the wrong way. I was too tired to do anything like that. Not that I thought Marcus would even if I wasn't tired.

Marcus
I turned around and looked at her. I wanted to jump automatically and say yes to the offer, but I wasn't sure. She did mean just sleep, right? I shrugged and walked back up to her. "Cool, thanks." I smiled a little at her.

Merecedes

I smiled back a little and led the way to my room.

Marcus
I trailed after Mercedes, keeping quiet as we walked. I felt like I was supposed to have a lot on my mind, but really my head was just...empty. I felt like I had nothing to think about, nothing to talk about. I was just...numb?

Mercedes

I opened the door to my room when we got there and flopped down onto the bed, my eyes drooping.

Marcus
I slowly laid myself down next to her, carefully wrapping my arms around her. I kissed the top of her head before laying my head back on the pillow and closing my eyes.

Mercedes

"Mmm," I murmured, snuggling closer to him and drifting off to sleep.

OOC: Should we skip or are you going to make a post as Keira back at the castle?

OOC: I guess I'll make a post of Keira in the castle.

Keira
The doors to the castles were opened, and I wanted to run out of it so badly. I had been trying to run away from this place - I was sick of it. I wished I could leave, but I knew I couldn't. There's no way they'd let me go again. The soldiers dragged us to the throne room, and to my horror, my parents were both sitting in their thrones, glaring daggers at us as we were left in front of them. The soldiers left, and I shifted Sherri in my arms as I looked up at my parents.
"Keira. Daemon," my mother addressed us coldly.
I bowed my head. "Mother," I addressed her back, my tone fighting to stay polite.

[Kitkat.]

Daemon

I bowed my head as well. "Hello, Mother. Father." I bit my lip. God, I hated being so formal. And okay, so we'd misbehaved. We'd run away from home to stay with the people trying to take our parents out of power... Okay, I could kinda see where they were coming from, but still!
Sheridan was staring at them with wide eyes, and I could even see her bottom lip trembling. I had no idea how Mom and Dad would react if she started crying, and I wasn't sure I wanted to find out.

Keira
"Where were you?" our Mother asked in a clipped tone, as if she didn't know. We knew she did, but she just wanted to hear us say it, I'm sure.
"We were at the Resistance's camp," I answered stiffly.
"And why were you there?" she pressed. My father was silent as he stared at Sheridan in curiosity.
I let out a breath. "Because they were hiding my daughter there."
Our mother's eyes bulged slightly, but she contained her compossure. "Why there?"
My mouth opened closed as I tried to come up with a lie. "I was...hiding her from you...because her father was apart of the Resistance," I tried.
"And who is her father?" my mother choked out.
"...That boy you met the other day," I mumbled, referring to Parker. She had taken rather a liking to him.

Sheridan

I stared at the two new people. I wanted to say something. I wanted Mommy. Or Aunt Julian. But I knew now wasn't the time to say anything about that. I was little, but I knew that Keira was trying to keep anything bad from happening to me. I should thank her later.

Keira
Mother leaned back in her throne now, looking at Sheri and me through narrowed eyes. "I see," she said, her tone cold again. She turned her head to look at Daemon. "And you? Why were you there?"

[Callie]

Daemon

"Keira asked me to come with her to make sure nothing bad happened," I told her, keeping my head slightly bowed.

OOC: Since Ashley quit, part of me wants to make Julian bi and have her end up with Daemon. O.o /weird

OOC: o.O All of a sudden Julian just decides to date a boy. xD

Keira
"Bad?" My mother echoed, raising her eyebrows. "Such as?"
"He was just keeping me and Sheri safe," I blurted.
"Sheri? You mean the girl?"
"Yes...my daughter."
"I see...I have yet to come up with a punishment for either of you, so for now you are forbidden to leave the castle. There will be guards posted around every corner to make sure you don't escape. I will have to have a guard follow you around, however." Mother looked pointedly at Daemon.

OOC: I think it'd be more of her getting tired of Daemon trying to get in her pants so she decided to give him an actual chance. xD

Daemon

I raised an eyebrow at her. "What's that look for?" I asked defensively.

Keira
"We don't need you transporting anywhere, now do we? So you will have a watchguard who will follow you around and keep track of your wherabouts. Unless you would prefer that we stick a tracker on you. Your choice." Mother looked intently at him, waiting for him to answer.

[Callie]

Daemon

"Watchguard it is," I said dryly, biting down on my tongue to hold back on telling her that if they weren't such cruel rulers, there wouldn't be rebels in the first place.

Keira
"It's settled then." Mother snapped her fingers and a bulky soldier sulked over to us, standing behind Daemon with narrowed eyes. "Gavin will keep an eye on you from here on out. Now, return to your rooms. You will be called out when it's time for your first meal."
I scowled but set Sheridan down and taking her hand, giving her the opportunity to walk around now.

[Callie]

Daemon

I scowled as well, hardly glancing at the soldier. "I'm going to Keira's room," I said, shooting her a 'we-need-to-figure-something-out' look as I headed for the stairs that led to our rooms.

Sheridan

Keira put me down, but as soon as I was on the ground, I felt scared and I knew I wanted her to hold me instead. I was too scared to say anything, though, so I just clung to her leg.

I sighed as Sheri grabbed onto my leg. I couldn't walk around if she was clinging to me like that. I picked her up, exchanged Daemon's look, and followed after him. The guard followed to, but stopped to wait outside of the door instead of going in with us.

Daemon

Thankful the guy waited outside, I headed over to Keira's bed and sat down, quirking an eyebrow at her. "Any plans?" I asked when the door was shut. I mean, we had to get out of here somewhere.

Keira
I shook my head. "Nothing so far." I sighed. "We're being held captive in our own home. Seems a little messed up to me."

[Callie]

Daemon

"Dad and Mom are ticked and paranoid. It's not really all that surprising." I smiled wryly at her and hugged her tightly. "We'll fgure something out. Well... I will. You need to make taking care of your 'daughter' a priority."

Keira
I smirked and hugged him back, holding him tightly. Daemon and I had never been super close siblings, but we knew how to take care of each other and how to make each other feel better. I looked over at Sheridan. "Yeah...she is my top priority now.."

[Callie]

I nodded, then shot her a grin as I backed towards the door. "I'll get you back to her dad in no time, sis."
