She didn't let me finish my sentence. "Okay, Kell!" she said brightly, dashing off. I got the feeling she'd be just fine... wherever the hell she was off to. So I opened the door and walked into Helena's room.

I hesitated. "If I stay with you," I began slowly, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, "will you stay with me?" I loved Kellan more than anything, and I trusted him, but Jaiden's words ran through my mind. You know about his track record... I knew that my twin was right, Kellan did have that reputation... I guess I was worried - worried that he wouldn't stay faithful, worried that he would leave me. I mean, Kellan was pretty much my first friend; I cared about him more than anyone else. I wouldn't know what I'd do if I lost him.

I breathed a small sigh of relief, but didn't say anything else. I was an idiot, I knew that I trusted Kellan... why was I so worried, then? I think both Dad and Jaiden's attitude towards him made me feel cautious.
