I rolled my eyes. "Wow, you're sensitive. I don't even... whatever." I shook my head and turned around, walking away. I always thought Jaiden wasn't that bad, but I guess I was wrong. He's just like Helena.

The car pulled to a stop, and I got out, picking Des up onto my shoulders and heading for the front door. "Hey," I said, slowing my pace down to walk with Adrienne. "How are you?"
"Better than Helena probably is," she said with a frown. "If there was actually seafood in there, they'd better sue that restaurant!"
I frowned slightly at her, then stuck my tongue out. "She'll be fine, Adrienne."
"She better be. I'm gonna be pissed if I lose my best friend to shrimp."
