I chuckled and looked at our hands, blushing slightly. "Nah, it's fine. You're supposed to learn about each other on dates, right?

Adrian

I searched the channels and found Blue's Clues and put it on for her, then picked her up and plopped her on the couch. "Tada!" I announced. "You want anything to eat, kiddo?"

Dawn

I blinked and leaned back slightly. That was bad. I was not supposed to want to kiss him. Bad. "It means that you're lying and you definitely know what I mean," I answered, sticking my tongue out.

Eileen
I nodded slightly, and blushed at Rayne's blush. "So...how amazingly fantastic has your life been?" I chuckled weakly.

Andy
I pulled back too. I was going crazy. Didn't even know what I was thinking. She wasn't single, remember? Instead, I pretended nothing had happened. I rolled my eyes. "Fine then. No, that's not why I'm here."

Bree
I giggled as I was placed onto the couch. "You have chicken nuggets?" I asked curiously.

Rayne

I laughed and shrugged. "Things have been better, but I'm doing okay," I said with a slight smile.

Dawn

"No?" I asked, then shrugged and snapped my fingers, trying to act like everything was normal and not weird, that I didn't feel this weird, annoying attraction to him. A lot... stronger than the one I felt with Zack. But I loved Zack... didn't I? God, I was so confused. "I was so sure, too."

Adrian

"As a matter of fact, I do," I said, nodding seriously. "They're dinosaur-shaped."

"Right...seems like that for most people," I said, smiling slightly. Our meals arrived, and I leaned back into my chair awkwardly.

Andy
I smirked. "You don't know me that well." Which was true...so why did I want her to?

Bree
I beamed. "Those are da best!" I cheered. "Go get 'em!"

Aubrey

I raised an eyebrow at Adrian, "I'm not sure I want to know why you happen to have those."

Dawn

I smirked back at him. "Maybe I do, and you just didn't know it."

Adrian

I grinned at her. "I like the dinosaur-shaped ones better than the regular circular ones, okay? They're just cooler," I said defensively.

Rayne

"Yeah," I agreed and took a bite of my food.

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?"

Eileen
I dug into my food quickly, taking small, delicate bites and chewing quickly.

Bree
I nodded. "Get them! Get them!"

Dawn

I shrugged. "Ya never know. I've been told I'm a pretty good judge of character."

Rayne

It was pretty quiet as we both ate, which I guess was better than talking with our mouths full anyways, so... I finished chewing and looked over to her, smiling weakly. "What's your favorite kind of music?"

Adrian

I chuckled and took out the bag from the freezer. "How many?"

"If you have that ability, then I must look like a crappy person," I said flatly.

Eileen
"Rock. Classic Rock," I mumbled around my food. I covered my mouth with one hand so it wouldn't look like my mouth was full.

Bree
"Five! And three for the pretty lady!" I chimed.

Adrian

I laughed again, grinning at Aubrey. "I think I can do that. Three for the pretty lady, then," I said, winking at Aubrey before I put the chicken nuggets in the microwave.

Dawn

"It depends on the time of day. And how far gone you are."

Rayne

I nodded. "About the same here. You like Regina Spektor, huh?" I asked, just making small talk for the moment. God, I knew there was a reason I didn't go on dates. And I couldn't really blame Audrey for this, could I? I just sucked with people, ever since... ever since, well, that.

I raised both my eyebrows. "So how am I looking right now?"

Eileen
I nodded. "She's the only pop/folk music I can stand." I popped a fry into my mouth. Eric had hated listening to any of the music I liked. He was a heavy metal kind of guy.

I smirked at Adrian. Now I was the 'Pretty Lady'? I had to hold back laughter at that.

Adrian

"What, you don't like your new nickname?" I asked innocently, taking the chicken nuggets out and flipping them over, then putting them back in.

Rayne

I just nodded a bit. "Have you ever heard of Nickelback, then?"

Dawn

"Not too bad. A few more drinks, and it'll be worse," I told him, nodding solemnly.

I smiled. "I love Nickelback. Never Gonna Be Alone is by far their best song."

Andy
I pushed my drink aside. "Well then I'll stop drinking."

Rayne

I smiled. "Yeah, it's pretty good. I like Savin' Me, though."

Dawn

I raised an eyebow at him. "Really?"

I nodded sincerely, smirking. "Don't wanna make a bad impression."

Eileen
"That one's nice too," I smiled.

I grinned. "You like classic rock, too? AC/DC and Aerosmith, stuff like that?"

Dawn

I smirked. "Too late," I said teasingly. "Well, for you and Zack anyways."

"Oh yeah. REO Speedwagon, Journey...them old guys." I grinned, picking at my hamburger's bun now, popping bits of soft bread in my mouth.

Andy
"That I can live with," I said lightly. "It's more so...the ladies I worry about."

I laughed and took a bite of my own food. All this music talk was good. Guess that's what I get for being an addict, yeah?

Dawn

I just smirked. "See? You're proving my hypothesis."

"Damn," I grumbled under my breath. I couldn't tell her it was HER that I wanted to make a good impression on, could I?

I chewed thoughtfully on a fry for a second. "What bands are you into?" I asked after swallowing.

Dawn

I raised an eyebrow at him, but said nothing.

Rayne

"Oh, all kinds. Mostly the old stuff. Like what you mentioned, what I mentioned, and ZZ Top, Yes, Bob Seger, Ozzy Osbourne, y'know," I answered.

OOC: I wonder if we'd get eaten for skipping like a week or two after the date. o.o

I ran a hand through my hair and grinned sheepishly at her. "I, uh, only care about certain girls - people - in particular, really. I'm that big of a ladies man." Pfft. One of the biggest lies I've ever told.

"ZZ Top, oh my God," I laughed. "I haven't listened to them in forever though. I'm pretty into Bon Jovi though."

Dawn

"If you insist," I said, smirking slightly at him. I didn't believe him what bit, but hey, it was his story, let him tell it how he wants.

"Bon Jovi's good," I said, nodding. "You should listen to them, then! You know Cheap Sunglasses, right? It's my absolute favorite by them."

"So, um..." I wasn't good at initiating conversation.

"Yeah, that's one's really good, too. There's a band called Atreyu - I don't know if you've heard of them - but they did a cover of it," I told her.

Dawn

I laughed and grinned at him. "Not used to long conversations, huh?"

"No, not really," I said, chuckling weakly.

Eileen
"I haven't heard of it, but that's pretty cool," I said, smiling. I finished off my burger and took a sip of my milkshake.

"S'okay - I'd be lying if I said I had long, intelligent conversations with people often," I told him simply.

Rayne

I finished my burger and drink, then started on my fries.

"Yeah, totally," I mumbled. I did my best not to reach for the drink across from me.

The loud sucking sounds from my straw meant my drink was over. I ate the last few fries and then leaned back in the chair.

I laughed. "I was definitely supposed to finish before you. Fail on my part."

Dawn

I got off the stool and waved slightly. "I'm gonna go play pool, then."

I laughed as the waitress came and laid the check on the table. I eyed it warily. Who was paying? I had fifteen bucks on me but...

I pressed my lips into a tight line, but waved drunkenly. "All right, you have fun with that...boyfriend of yours." I grinned tightly.
