Holly
I narrowed my eyes. "You totally have dirty secrets." I said accusingly. "Otherwise you wouldn't make everything a joke."
Dallas
I laughed. "Maybe. He does have a big batch of hair." I froze in place when Jayden came in sight.
Jayden
"Why hello there Holly and Dallas...." I looked at them both to see if they had guilty looks. Dallas did. "What have you been up to?" I said directed at him.

Silas

I shrugged mildly. "Maybe I do." I smirked. Obviously, she wouldn't get to know them, since she couldn't read my mind. I turned to see another guy had approached us. "He hasn't been up to anything," I said irritably. "Do you have a problem with him or something?"

Jayden
I turned to the boy for a minute. "Mind not interrupting me, kid? He has a much more strict set of rules then you." He looked a little like me but I didn't pay attention. "So, Dallas?" I asked again, coolly. Dallas looked down and slipped his hand into the human's.
"You can't control me," he said simply and softly. I raised and eyebrow but turned to Holly. "Your temper got away with you, hmmm?" She bit her lip and shook her head vigourously.

Silas

I rolled my eyes. "Oh, relax about your rules. Besides, we" - I pointed to myself and the older girl - "know what you all are, and we won't tell. Not like it matters, though. Us humans aren't as ignorant as you seem to think."

Michaela

I looked down to Dallas's hand. I didn't want him to get in trouble for me, but... I liked him, too. And I liked havin my hand in his. It felt good. Right.

Holly
"Silas, if you value your life, don't mess with Jayden," I warned him in a whisper.
Jayden
"Yes, I would listen to the girl. And if you humans are not ignorant, how come so few know about us?" I said, my lips curving into a smile.
Dallas
"I'll be going, Jayden. Just remember this. I'm not afraid of you." I walked out of the forestry area, my shoulder brushing Jayden's. I couild feel his eyes burning into my back but I trudged ahead dragging Michaela with me.

Silas

I shrugged. "Most think you guys are myths. Or that's what they believe, so they're nice and safe in their own little worlds," I answered, then smiled slowly. "You're Jayden?"

Michaela

"What are you thinking?" I whispered furiously to Dallas when we were a fair distance away. "If he wasn't so preoccupied, he'd probably have killed you or something!"

Dallas
"I wanted to get you out of there. If he wasn't so preoccupied, he would have killed us both." I corrected gritting my teeth. "Which way is your apartment?"
Jayden
"Yes, I am...ohhhhh. You're one of my feeding children, aren't you?" I asked with a smile.
Holly
"Feeding children?" I asked confused.

[Callie]

Silas

"My thoughts exactly," I said, nodding towards the mind-reader.

Michaela

"Guess it's a good thing we had the half-unicorn on our side," I remarked, turning left to head for my apartment.

Dallas
I smiled a little. "Yeah, I guess so. I hope they'll be ok."
Jayden
"When I bite a woman and let her live she gets pregnant." I said simply.

[Callie]

Silas

"What a gift," I said sarcastically. "You do that a lot?"

Michaela

I frowned. "Me too," I murmured as we reached the apartments I lived in. I headed to the front door and opened it. "C'mon, I'm on the top floor; best seats in the house," I said with a weak smile.

"Okay," I then said and used all my will power to pull away from his lips. "Lets assume that this baby is perfect and probably won't kill me." I said as I grabbed his hand and lead him over to the couch. "Would you rather have a boy or a girl?"

Eliott

"Oh, we just... it's kind of a weird story," I said with a shrug. "We kind of bumped into each other one day and we really hit it off. Then I found out that she was my brother girlfriend. She decided that she loved me more then she loved him so she dumped him and... yeah..." I scowled.

I thought for a minute. "A boy, I decided, nodding.

Alessandra

I looked at him curiously. "What are you going to do if she just decides that she loves someone else more than you?" I asked him, then blushed. "Sorry. I guess it isn't really any of my business in the first place."

Selena

"Why?" I asked curiously.

Eliott

I frowned slightly. "I suppose. I'll just have to trust her. Maybe that's stupid..." I shrugged.

Jayden
"Quite." I said with equal sarcasm. "So I aim for men when I get too thirsty to take it anymore. Which, takes awhile." I explained with a shrug. "Holly, I'm letting you off easy this time. But get control of your temper." I nodded and walked on.
Holly
"Bastard," I said simply, crossing my arms.
Dallas
I smiled. "I get the dumb ground floor, yay." I followed her up.

Alessandra

I nodded. "You have to trust her - it's vital in a relationship," I said sagely.

Ian

I shrugged. "We've already got Nessie, and she's sort of like a daughter. Why not even the odds?" I grinned.

Selena

I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously. "You just don't want to be surrounded by three girls all the time."

Eliott

"Exactly", I said and shrugged. "Even if the person has proven that she can't be trusted in the past. It kind of a dead-end if I don't trust her."

[Callie]

Ian

I grinned. "That's probably part of it."

Alessandra

"Yeah, just kind of," I said with a faint smile.

Silas

"Agreed," I muttered, finding it ironic that that guy was my dad, I'd just met him, and I already thought he was a jackass.

Michaela

"Poor you," I said with a smirk, opening the door to my apartment and making a face at how crappy and messy it looked.

I smirked a little. "Not nearly as messy as mine, I assure you. You didn't see my bedroom."
Holly
I looked at him, wondering what he was thinking. It was so annoying that I couldn't read his mind. "Maybe you got freaky vampire resisitance to psychics."

Michaela

"No, it's not. But good effort." I laughed.

Silas

"Maybe," I said with a nod. Then I bowed. "Anyways, I must be off. Nice meeting you, whatever your name is."

I narrowed my eyes. "Jayden said already, but it's Holly. Yours?"
Dallas
I smiled. "Seeya tomorrow..? Uhhh, stop by my apartment in the morning when you have time?" I asked hopefully.

Silas

"Oh. Sorry. I was mostly blocking out what he said. I'm Silas," I answered, turning to walk off.

Michaela

I nodded. "Definitely." I smiled a bit.

Dallas
I grinned wider and kissed her on the lips. "Seeya then." I said softly against her lips and turned to leave.
Holly
"Ok...bye Silas..." I frowned, it seemed like I should stay with him. Funny feeling in my chest.
STOP IT NOW, HOLLY! my mind screamed. Last time I'd trusted someone, I'd paid the price. My stomach hurt from the memory.

Michaela

I kissed him back, then frowned as he turned away. "Um, Dallas? Do you, uh... maybe want to stay the night or something?" I asked. My eyes widened when I realized how wrong that sounded, and I blushed. "I mean... not like that, but, uh... I just... I don't want you to leave." I shut up after this, deciding I'd made enough of a fool of myself for the time being.

Silas

"Bye, Holly," I called over my shoulder. Maybe now I'd go and try to find Micah or something. He'd probably have a place for me to stay. Or maybe I'd just go find somewhere to sleep.

Dallas
I laughed and turned around. "Sure, Michaela. Just not that way." I grinned and winked at her. "I can see why after meeting someone like Jayden." I said sympathetically I hugged her to me.
Holly
Yup, another night at Micah's, I decided. I went the other way there though so I wouldn't be following Silas.

Michaela

I made a face, but hugged him back. "Actually, I was more worried that you'd try to do the stupid guy thing and go back to the pond and get yourself hurt."

Silas

I decided to say "screw it" to my sleeping idea. Instead, I found a phonebook and searched through it for a Micah Jones.

Dallas
This time I made a face. "I'm not THAT stupid..." Although I wouldn't admit that was exactly what I was planning. Ahh, well. At least she was getting to know me.
Holly
I opened the door again and waved. "I'm sleepin here again tonight, Micah...is that ok?"

[Callie]

Micah

"Since when do you ask?" I smirked and got up as there was a knock at the door.

Michaela

"Suuuuure," I said sarcastically, kissing him gently.

Silas

Once I'd found him in the phone book, I headed towards the address, and knocked on the door when I got there. Micah opened the door, then looked confused, then shocked.
"Silas? Wh - what are you doing here?" he asked curiously, stepping out and shutting the door behind him.
"I'm your Christmas present. Sorry I'm late."
He looked at me for a moment, then he frowned slightly. "You've changed."
"I have gotten a bit taller; thanks for noticing!"
"You know what I mean."
"The streets aren't the best place to grow up in, Micah," I answered, being serious for once.

I grinned. "Okay, fair enough."

Eliott

I smiled back. "So... you got a boyfriend, or?" I asked and tilted my head slightly.

Ian

I just grinned. "So, did you have a good time with Alessandra?"

Alessandra

I shook my head. "No time," I answered with a wry smile. "None of them like that I'm usually at work, and I usually get dumped after a few days of working on a
wedding."

Holly
I shrugged in defeat and whirled around when Silas came in. "Uh, mind clueing me in on why the hell he's here?"
Dallas
I kissed her back hard, holding her closer.
