Based loosely off the Mass Effect game series.
Name's Braxton Tucker. Most just call me Tucker. It's not important, though. All you need to know is that I know you're new here. Means you need the down low of what's going on. Well, kid, you're in the right place. I know everything that's damn well worth knowing around here. If you're really that unobservant, you may be wondering just where "here" is.
It's Evalon. One of the most populated planets in the solar system of Holport. It's a real diverse population, too. Humans, Xenians, Vorans, Zenths, and cyborgs, oh my! What I'm saying is that there are a shitload of people on this damn planet. Gets crowded, you know? Maybe that's why the Terishan's all pissed. But I think it's because of the Freedom Fighters. Either way, couldn't tell you that one for sure. All I know is that Evalon, a few years ago, used to just have four races, and now it has five.
The Terishan is our government, you could say. I suppose they're sort of like an Earth governent... as in, they're all lying bastards and no one likes them once they're elected. At any rate, there's always been rebellion against them. The main rebellion's called the Freedom Fighters. A very select few of them are worthy of respect, considering they're
Well, one day, the Freedom Fighters went too far. They killed one of the higher-up Terishan officials. I probably shouldn't even be telling you this, kid, but hey, you gotta know what you're going up against and you asked, right? Anyways, the rest of the officials got a little miffed that the stupid Freedom Fighters had been able to even look at such a heavily guarded guy, so they decided they needed better guards. First, they either fired or killed their current ones, though. Nice of them, right?
Eventually, (mind you, this is over quite a period of time: around seven years) after all their guards were gone and they'd finished up their top secret project that no one even knew about until they revealed it to the public. Suddenly, people started noticing new guards. Intimidating guards. Guards that didn't even blink when the fenivs landed on their eyes.
They called these new guards cyborgs. They were half human and they were half robot. They were tough and versatile, but they looked like humans. They just weren't as soft, they didn't feel emotions, and they were basically made to throw their lives on the line for those in the Terishan.
I know what you're thinking. This is the part where the cyborgs suddenly get feelings and start thinking for themselves and join the Freedom Fighters to take down the Terishan, right? Wrong. I could say that, if it would make you feel better, but I'd be lying. Truth was, all those cyborgs knew was that they were there to kill anyone that threatened the Terishans' safety, and they'd be damned (or nonexistant, at least) if they didn't.
Other than that, things are decent, I guess. If you overlook the fact that the Terishan are going a little overboard. You talk bad about them anywhere, they'll make their little pets come find you and then they'll kill you. Or maybe they don't even kill you. Maybe they make you do hard labor until you just keel over and die. No one knows for sure. They just know that you don't say anything bad about the Terishan or you disappear.
So keep your mouth shut, kid, and you should make it through.
Rules and Other Random Things You Should Probably Know
- No, you can't be a governement official.
- You can be any of the other five species listed.
- This is a futuristic RP that - obviously, if you read the intro - takes place on another planet.
- If you've read everything, put "Viva la Evalon!" in your post.
- The cyborgs will not suddenly start thinking and feeling for themselves. This can only be possible with advanced technology... which is available, but they'd have to find someone willing to do so first.
- Don't kill anyone's chari without permission to do so first.
- All of the races look relatively human, they might just have some differences, which will be listed under the information about the races.
- It'd be more realistic if you could edit your pictures to look like their races, but if you're feeling lazy, you don't have to. If you don't know how but you want to, ask someone who's Photoshop/GIMP-savvy.
- If you wish to create an organization (the Freedom Fighters are an organization; there's your example), PM me with the details and I'll let you know if it's approved or not.
- You may create a Freedom Fighter.
- If you've got any questions, let me know.
- I'll put someone in charge of time when this starts, because I think we all know how horrible I am at controlling time.
- I think that's all, so... have fun!
Races
Humans
Humans are probably the weakest race on Evalon, but they're intelligent, only second to the Xenians. They can also defend themselves, but they don't have any special powers like the other races do. Their skin tones vary, but (dropping the "observer" thing for a minute here) C'MON, YOU KNOW WHAT COLOR SKIN HUMANS HAVE. SRSLY. xD
Xenians
The most intelligent race on Evalon, the Xenians usually end up with occupations that earn more money and involve thinking a lot. When fighting, they're more comfortable with guns, not brawn, because they simply aren't known for being "muscle"... and with good reason. They may be intelligent, but they aren't the best fighters out there... not by a long shot. Xenians are different from humans because of their skin tones, mostly. They tend to have purple or orange skin. And that's not to mention their mental powers. Each Xenian has some mental type of power, be it mind-reading, telepathy, or something like altering memories.
Vorans
Vorans are what you might call "the in-between" race. They have average intelligence and are pretty average at fighting with normal weapons. They usually prefer to fight using elements: fire, air, earth, water, ice, or even metal. Each Voran controls all six elements, but they can only use one at a time. Vorans have color-changing skin, changing to represent the element they favor more. Fire users usually have red or orange skin, air users are as white as a piece of paper or an extremely light blue, earth users are brown, green, or tan, ice users are typically some sort of dark blue, and metal users tend to have some shade of gray skin.
Zenths
The Zenths. They aren't really the brightest bunch on Evalon, but every now and again, there's one who actually has a brain bigger than the size of a pea. This race tends to be more of the muscle around the planet, using both their brawn or prowess with a blade to get their way. They're the type that get involved in gangs and shake down homely merchants for their earnings each day. Granted, some of the other races do the same, but the Zenths have a reputation for it. They usually have dark green or black skin, and their powers are usually something physical, whether it be super-strength, flying, or changing the color of their skin to blend in with their surroundings.
Cyborgs
A couple years was all the cyborgs needed to become one of the most feared races on Evalon. The Terishan created them to be their own personal bodyguards, and they look like humans... they're just missing a few things and much tougher. Cyborgs have no feelings, opinions, or even thoughts of their own. They're made from mechanical parts that were altered to look like humans. They don't have organs or anything like that... just metal. They aren't named; they respond to their number, instead. They're equipped with some of the best weapons you could put on an airship or a vehicle. Lasers, guns sprouting from their hands, grenades, rocket launchers... you name it, they've got it. Along with the strength to break your neck with their bare hands, of course.
Organizations
Freedom Fighters
The Freedom Fighters are an organization that lives underground, but operates above ground. They're known for being a major pain-in-the-ass to the Terishan, what with their interfering with executions and attempting to kill any cyborg they see or blowing up any shipments that, in their opinion, shouldn't be distributed. The Terishan doesn't know where their base is, and they just want to get rid of what they call "our reoccuring headache" once and for all. The Freedom Fighters believe that, if they have a government at all, it should be one that treats them more fairly than the Terishan does, and they fight for that cause, though most people don't take them seriously.
Norin
Basically, the Norin are the army of Xendras, which is the capital city of Evalon. Most of them have been off-duty for a while now, due to the cyborgs taking care of the place, but they still see it as their duty to protect the city, and that includes the Terishan... even if they don't believe in how the Terishan have been going about doing things.

Character Code Explained
Name: Self-explanatory.
Age: Age is like it is with humans, just years, but for cyborgs, it would be how long since they were created. For example, I have a cyborg that was created five years ago, so you would put "5 years old (looks *insert how old they look here*)". Make sense?
Gender: Male or female.
Race: Human, Voran, Xenian, Zenth, or Cyborg.
Power: A power that matches their race, explained in the information about the races.
Organization?: Freedom Fighter, Freelancer (basically, someone who takes things into their own hands and relies on no one else), some other organization, or none.
Picture: Self-explanatory. If you don't want to find a picture/can't find a picture, then you can just write a really detailed description. Pictures are just preferred.
Personality: What your character is like. Maybe their name should be Penny Pessimistic because they don't ever see the bright side or Paul the Pig because they are the messiest eater alive? Tell us how they behave!
Biography: What happened to your chari in the past? When they were young? Now that they're older? Where are their parents? Basically, what has happened in their life thus far.
Other: Anything that you can't really fit somewhere else. Like the fact that Old Man Bob is not a serial killer, contrary to popular belief.
Name: Braxton Tucker
Age: 28 years old
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Power: N/A
Organization?: Freelancer
Picture:
Personality: Blunt, realistic, bossy, clever, sarcastic, fighter, antisocial, leader, argumentative.
Biography: Tucker finds it hard to believe that just three years ago, he was part of the Norin. Sometimes he wishes he would've stayed, but he's learned that sitting around and waiting for something to happen just isn't him. He grew up with his aunt and uncle, rarely seeing his parents, as they were both in the Norin. He believes that's what made him join. That, and Tucker had always enjoyed fighting. He'd grown up getting into fights, getting into arguments. Sometimes he thought about joining the debate team at school, but decided against it when he realized he couldn't just punch his opponents if it seemed like they were winning. Now, Tucker just does what he wants. He fights or kills people who seem like they deserve it. Thieves, murderers... whoever.
Other: Just call him Tucker... or Tuck. He has a sniper rifle that he's really good with. He calls her "Crystal".

Name: Ryan Taylor
Age: 22 years old
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Power: N/A
Organization?: Freelancer
Picture:
Personality: Joking, cold, withdrawn, secretive, witty, calculating, sneaky, determined, stubborn, sarcastic.
Biography: When he was around fifteen years old, the Terishan found out about Ryan's parents' unique views. They weren't too fond of what they found out, so they sent some of their newly-created cyborgs after them to make an example of them. Make an example they did. To this day, Ryan's parents' graves are still in the town square of the capital city of Evalon. He hates it. That's why he changed his career plans. Ryan had always planned to sign up to join the Norin, but after that, he just wanted the Terishan to pay for what they did to his family. Now, he takes any job involving hurting a Terishan official. Some call him an assassin. Some call him vengeful. Still others believe he's doing the right thing; maybe because many of them have been through a similar experience. So that's how Ryan lives; day-to-day, killing sometimes to survive, and doing what he pleases.

Name: Angel Madison
Age: 21 years old
Gender: Female
Race: Xenian
Power: She can switch your memories up, but she can't delete or add them.
Organization?: Freedom Fighters
Picture:
Personality: Impatient, bossy, sneaky, clever, bold, daring, stubborn, quiet.
Biography: Never knowing her parents was just something that Angel had to deal with when she was growing up. They abandoned her at the local orphanage shortly after she was born, and that was where she grew up. She was never very sociable, like a lot of the other kids there. Angel knew there were many of them that had been through things much worse than what she had, but she couldn't really find it in herself to care. Looking back, she knows she spent too much time feeling sorry for herself, but she can't change it now. After Angel got out of the orphanage, she had to make a living somehow, and she got involved with a small group of thieves. One day, she was breaking into the Freedom Fighters base to take anything valuable that they had, but she was caught. She was rarely caught, so she was sort of stunned. After they'd finished interrogating her, they said they'd let her free if she promised to never return. Angel didn't promise, and, instead, asked if she could stay with them. She was accepted into the Fighters and never returned to the group of thieves she'd previously been working with. The Freedom Fighters is also how she met her fiancee, Tristan Caldwell. She still finds it hard to believe that it all happened only three years ago.
