When I woke up, I was next to Juliet in a bed. A very comfortable bed, actually. Part of me said I should get up and put my clothes on, but I wasn't exactly sure where they were and I didn't want to move. Instead, I wrapped my arms around Juliet carefully and shut my eyes, trying to go back to sleep.

I was half awake when I felt somebody shifting in the bed I was in. I opened my eyes to slits when warms wrapped around my bare body, and I turned my head glance at him. Nicholas seemed asleep, his face peaceful. I smiled to myself, remembering what had happened, and turned my head away again.

I'd just finished my chicken sandwich, and I got bored with nothing to do. There was nothing else for me to eat and I had no idea where Nicholas was, so I headed back up to the deck, going over to the side of the boat. After I'd made sure no one was looking, I ducked under the ropes and stood on the edge, shutting my eyes and breathing deeply in. I didn't know why it felt so good, but all I could say was that I didn't want to move.

I had been resting on a bench on the deck, letting myself be lulled to sleep, when I heard a few noises. I opened an eye to see a girl - Chastity, I believed her name was - standing on the edge of the boat. I felt myself panicking, not knowing what to do, but I called to her in an even tone, "Hey, miss, I don't think that's safe."

I sighed. I wanted to get up and go over to her, but I was afraid that I might startle her and she'd let go. "Miss Chastity?" I tried again, feeling a little bit uneasy.

I shot him a confident grin. "I won't fall. But I'm glad you're so concerned about my well-being." What a gentleman. Though I guess it was to be expected from those of higher classes.
As he got closer, I noticed something else about him - he had beautiful eyes. Blue and big and bright... like glowy orbs or something like that. And he was rather... attractive? was that the right word? Maybe it was handsome. But it didn't matter, I told myself. Romance was just a recipe for trouble and I'd never see him after this in the first place. So...

"Oh, I know it is," I said nonchalantly. "I'll be fine. I can hold on. Good grip and all that jazz. Don't try to help me back over, though; then I won't have such a good grip. I wasn't talking about that, though," I told him with a laugh. I really wanted to tell him he should join me, but something told me that he wouldn't listen anyways, so I kept my mouth shut.

I blinked at her when I felt her touch on my lips. I didn't bother to move her finger as I smiled slightly. "No, I guess not," I murmured. I felt a great bit relieved now that she was back on the deck again; now I didn't have to worry about jumping in and saving her if she fell.
