"Thanks," I mumbled a bit late. A got up and slowly made my way back to my bedroom. I scrapped the sheets off the bed, making a mental note to throw them out in the morning. I took two quilts out of my closet, draping one across my bed. I lay on top of it, then pulled the other one up over my body. I curled up into almost a ball and began to cry again, quietly, before I fell asleep.

[Callie]

OOC: I don't, either. Unless Rachel accidentally lets it slip or something once. And I'm sending Nick to a restaurant because she's still hungry. She could see Jake there. xD

Nick

I briefly thought about heading back to the tour bus, but I was still hungry. One plate of leftover spaghetti just wouldn't cut it. I wondered why I hadn't had this genius idea of going to a restaurant in the first place, but then I told myself that it was probably a good thing that I hadn't. Shaking my head to myself, I set off for the nearest Arby's.

OOC: Maybe that'll happen. Maybe she'll be acting all distant and stuff, and maybe he mentions something about Alex and Rachel panicks? ...Didn't Ty go to Arby's too? xD

Jake
Sitting in my motel room, I found my stomach growling in hunger. Knowing that they didn't have room service here, I pulled on my shoes and headed out the door, looking for the nearest fast food place.

OOC: I want something fried to eat right now. [/random]

OOC: ... I can't remember. Probably. I'll fix that. xD

Nick

I ordered, then looked around for a free table. but someone at one of the other tables caught my eye. "Now that's just harsh. Ditching me for Arby's?"
He smirked slightly. "You did the same," he pointed out.
He had me there.
"Burnt toast not your thing?" I asked, arching an eyebrow at him.
"Not really." With that, he stood up, grabbing his trash and throwing it away. "I'll seeya later, Nick." I watched as he left the fast food place, and I slumped down in the chair he'd been sitting in. Now who was I going to socialize with? Ty was good for arguing pointlessly with.

Jayden
I shrugged. "Doesn't really matter, does it? He's all nice and famous now anyway." We were to the front of the line. I just ordered a regular burger and looked back at Kestrel to see what she wanted, getting out my wallet.

[Callie]

Kestrel

"I'll get it," I told him, reaching in my pocket for my wallet... which was, strangely, missing. "Or, uh... you can get it and I'll pay you back when I remember my wallet... I just want some curly fries. Large. And a chocolate milkshake."

Arby's. Such a strange name for a food place. I opened the door and was surprised to find that girl I had had a one-night stand with the night before...what was her name...she was the telepathic one...Nick! "Stalking me?" I asked, sitting down across from her.

I smiled and paid the cashier. "No repayment nessecary."

Nick

I smiled slightly when... Jake?... walked in. "Hey, I was here before you were," I pointed out, smirking now.

Kestrel

"No, I want to," I insisted as the door swung open and in walked Kaden. Great. He wasted no time in walking over to us and tugging on my arm.
"Kestrel, I need to talk to you." For once, all traces of joking were gone from his voice as well as his expression.
I wrenched my arm from his grasp and glared at him. "Whatever you have to say can be said right here."
"Actually... it can't," he said, and from the look in his eyes, I knew this wasn't good. Then his expression brightened slightly, and he pried my fingers away from my palm (I hadn't even been aware they'd formed into a fist), dropping my wallet into my hands.
"Well, if I would've expected anyone to have taken my wallet, you were only second on the list," I remarked.

"For all I know, you could be psychic as well and know I was going to show up."

Nick

"Very true. But all I can do is throw things around with my mind."

I studied the new guy. Who was he, and what connection did he have with Kestrel? I was oddly protective of her, I thought to myself. Or jealous...

"That's not bad though. Now, I take it you're here for food too?" I stood up, fingering the bundle of money in my pocket. "What do you want?"

[Callie]

OOC: I know you did. xD

Nick

"No, I'll pay. I've got the money," I told him, standing up.

Kestrel

Kaden just looked at me expectantly. I sighed. "I'll be right back," I muttered to Jayden, grabbing Kaden by the arm and dragging him outside with me. "Okay. Talk."
"Kestrel, I... I did not only come here to help Silas," he admitted, not looking at me.
I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms. "What do you mean?"
"I... The Crows made me come here. Not to help him, of course, but to..." he trailed off, looking back up at me.
It took a minute, but then it hit me. "To kill me. Of course." I sighed and glanced back to him. "Then why aren't you?"
"I give at least one 'get out of jail free' card to each of my friends. So I am warning you. The others haven't located you yet, but it's only a matter of time. I advise you get as far away from here as possible, even though I know you won't listen," he said quickly.
I shook my head after a moment. "I don't run, Kaden. I won't risk my friends getting hurt." That meant I would have to face them head-on. I could do that... right? "... How many?"
"Four, not including me."
I examined him for a moment. "Whose side are you on?"
I had to hand it to him, he didn't even hesitate. "Yours, naturally."

I raised an eyebrow. Normally I'd be all for having people pay for me, but it seemed kind of wrong to let her. "Are you implying that I'm poor and don't have enough money to pay myself?"

Nick

I laughed involuntarily. "Actually, I meant that I'd pay for myself, but I guess I can pay for you, too," I said teasingly. "Besides, you're doing it all wrong. You're supposed to buy me dinner and then have sex with me, not vice versa."

"Excuse me for not being old-fashioned," I retorted, rolling my eyes and ordering for myself. I paid and then moved over so they could take her order.

"You're excused," I said cheerfully, then turned to the guy, ordering my own food and paying him.

"Are you normally this witty and sarcastic, or is it just to me?"

"I'm pretty sure it's a normal thing," I informed him. "Maybe you are that special, but I certainly don't do it just for you."

Our tray came out and I picked it up, walking slowly over to where Kestrel and the other guy were talking. Now, I really wanted to know who he was--especially after I heard his last answer.

"You realize if we get caught, they'll kill us both?" I asked warily.
He nodded. "I'll get killed for being here before the others in the first place. They don't know where I went. They probably think I've betrayed them. Which I have, but it's really not their place to judge people. They kill for a living," Kaden said with a shrug.
I wanted to point out that he did, too, but we both already knew that, so, instead, I extended a hand. "Allies, then."
He took my hand and shook it. "Allies. We should get started on a plan."
"I've already got one. I'm just going to eat lunch first. I'll meet you at that alley outside the library in a half hour?
Kaden nodded, and, with that, took off.
I turned around and froze when I saw Jayden. "Erm... how much of that did you hear?" I didn't want Jayden to know what I'd... been. What part of me would always be. I didn't know why, I just... didn't.

"Ah, okay. I was just curious because most girls don't treat me this way."

Nick

"No?" I arched an eyebrow at him. "How do they treat you?"

"Enough to be curious, but not know it all." I answered mysteriously. I kept a cool calm look on my face despite the emotions raging inside me.

"Like I'm a freaking king," I announced, placing my hands on my hips and sticking my chin up. I grinned cockily at her.

Kestrel

"That's helpful," I muttered. "We'll talk about it over lunch," I said, heading back to get our food, which was done and on the counter. I handed Jayden his tray.

Nick

"Oh?" I arched an eyebrow at him, then smirked. "I suppose I can do that... at least once." With that, I headed back behind the counter, rifling through their CDs and hoping they had just the song I wanted. Sure enough, they did, and I found the stereo and put it on, blowing the cashier a fake kiss when he found me and heading back out. Now I just had to remember the dance.

I blinked at her, mouthing gaping at her for a second. I shook my head and grinned at her again. "Now that is more like it!" I hollered, clapping along with the song as she danced.

When the song ended, I sat back down and laughed. "Better?"

"So much better. Makes me want to..." I didn't complete my sentence, but I wiggled my eyebrows suggestively.
