"We're telepathically communicating. It's a sister thing," I said with a slight smirk, nodding seriously.

Smokkey
I smiled weakly. "Yeah," I stood up. "I can walk.." I said, not entirely sure I could.

Alyssa

I got in shotgun and leaned back against the seat.

Blaze

"Everyone ready?" I asked while starting the car, after I'd thrown my guitar in the trunk.

[Callie]

Hayden

"You sure?" I asked skeptically, watching her carefully.

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I nodded, slipping my arms out of Vincent and the other guy's grasp. I took a few steps with caution, then walked a little ways. "See?" I said, but just after that I tripped and struggled to gain my balance back for a second. "God, this is annoying."

[Callie]

Hayden

"Nice. Well, if you can show the nurses that you can walk, and not like some drunk guy, I guess we can go home."

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I sat down in one of the waiting room seats. "That isn't sure to happen soon. Besides, mom or dad will probably call sometime soon." I checked my pocket. "Where's my phone???"

[Callie]

Vincent

"Right. Sorry," I said sheepishly, handing her back her phone. I'd forgotten I had it.

Hayden

"Why would they call?"

Harmony

"Yup," I said, buckling my seatbelt. Isaiah just nodded.

Alyssa

I let out a small sigh when we pulled up to Carter's house. Why couldn't band have been at our house? I got out anyways, waiting for Blaze to get his guitar.

Isaiah

I got out of the car, then ran around to the back, popped the trunk, and carefully took out Blaze's guitar. "I'm gonna keep this for a while," I told him, nodding seriously as Harmony got out of the car and smirked a bit. Then I started heading up to the house with the guitar in hand.

Blaze

"How am I supposed to practice then?"
"Oh, like you guys ever actually practice together. You get better in your room," Alyssa remarked, walking over to the door and walking inside. "We're here!"

[Callie]

Isaiah

"Well, I told Alyssa I was going to play a song, so I needed to borrow your guitar. I'll give it back when I'm done though, 'coz I like mine better," I told him, walking inside after Alyssa.

Harmony

I looked after them for a minute before I turned to Blaze. "Are you alright?" I asked him softly.

Alyssa

I watched as Blaze just shook his head as Carter came up the stairs and glanced at Isaiah. He wrapped my arms around me from behind and grinned, "Miss me?"
"Am I supposed to answer that honestly?"

[Callie]

Isaiah

"Ahh, is this the boyfriend, then?" I asked, arching an eyebrow at her.

Harmony

I frowned and continued walking inside. I wanted to tell him things would be okay, but really? His girlfriend had just died. That sucked.

Blaze

"I'm actually a lot better than I thought I'd be," I told her honestly.

Alyssa

"Boyfriend is a strong word," I answered with a smirk, pulling away from Carter. "Harmony is gonna be the new lead singer." He glanced at her for a minute, "Yeah, I remember her from school. She has a nice - Voice. I like her voice. What's up with the nice bruise on your arm?" he asked quickly.
"There was an accident at school. I was talking to Meghan and a bus flew at us. She... didn't make it..." I told him quietly.
"Then how are you still here?" he asked with a curious expression on his face, like I hadn't just told him someone we knew died.
"Meghan pushed me out of the way," I lied, not even hesitating. There was no way I could tell Carter.

I took the phone back muttering a quick thanks at Vincent and looked at Hayden. "Because, unlike you, I usually come home soon after school, because I have nothing better to do."

[Callie]

Hayden

I shrugged. "Me either. Mom and Dad just think I do. I'd rather be out than home anyways."

Harmony

"Well, that's good, at least," I said with a small smile, walking over to the front door with the rest of the gang.

Isaiah

I snorted. I was so sure he liked her voice.

Alyssa

Carter shrugged slightly, "Lucky you. You guys ready to practice?"
I glanced up at Isaiah, wondering what the snort was for. "Isaiah promised to play a song first." He just rolled his eyes and went downstairs when Blaze and Harmony came over.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I smirked. "Friendly," I remarked, looking over to Alyssa. "Where are we gonna do this, then? Here? 'Coz I need an amp."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"There's one downstairs," I offered. Sadly I knew this house as well as I knew mine. Idiotic band practices.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I nodded and headed downstairs, plugging the guitar into the amp and starting to play.

The damsel just left everything..." And I sang until the end of the song.

Harmony

When Isaiah was done, I looked at him in surprise. "That was good. I've never heard it before."
He shrugged. "I wrote it. That would be why."

"I like it!" I told him with a grin. Blaze jogged downstairs and started setting up.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I laughed. "You better think so. I feel publicly humiliated," I said, smirking slightly at her as I set Blaze's guitar up carefully.

Blaze

"Well, otherwise I wouldn't have come," Alyssa told Isaiah matter-of-factly. I smirked slightly at her then turned to Harmony, "Ready to sing?"

I just looked down at the floor at that, yawning. "Let's just go home; who cares if I stagger like a drunk dude?" I asked standing up again a bit too quickly, because I leaned to the right and had to work to get on normal balance again.

[Callie]

Harmony

I shrugged. "I'm not picking the song this time, though. I didn't bring any of the ones I've written."

Jay

I slid down the banister and grinned. "I don't mean to crash your party or anything, but I got bored, Fred has good music, and I wanna see Harmony embarrass herself."

Isaiah

I laughed and smirked slightly at Jay. "Thanks."

Hayden

I arched an eyebrow and watched her carefully. "The nurses probably will."

[Emmy]

"But-" My cell phone rang and I looked at the caller ID. "It's mom, I told you so," I said pulling an attractive face at the phone and answering. "Hello?" I said hesitantly.
"Smokkey?" she asked, obviously distracted by something. "Are you coming home sometime soon? You have chores," I paused.
"I dunno when..." I said.
"Oh, really? And what exactly are you doing? You didn't get it all done when you skipped school?" I bit my lip. Damn, they'd probably called her. Stupid school people.

Hayden

Tell her you passed out on the way and we've been at the hospital since. You were unconscious most of the day, I tried. Maybe Dad would side with us on this one and not tell Mom. I mean, it was only one day, right? And that was the best lie I could think of under pressure like this.
