Secrets & Fire 3: The Fortunate

Harmony

I looked up and laughed, then ran after her. Isaiah took off after me, but still managed to pass me. I flipped him off and tried to catch up, but he passed me and caught up to Lyssa easily.

Alyssa

I tried to run at a quicker pace than Isaiah, but it wasn't working. Luckily I was already in the road looking for where we parked the car, sadly with Meghan right next to me. Apparently being cheerleaders meant you could say anything and still be friends. Wonderful.

[Callie]

Harmony

I stood by Isaiah and Alyssa and ignored Meghan, pointing to the parking lot. "That way."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

Meghan grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from the group. "Listen, I call dibs on Isaiah. So back off." I raised an eyebrow at her, "I wasn't aware I claimed him anytime earlier toda-" I cut myself off as I saw a bus or something flying at us. My first instinct was to push Meghan out of the way when I heard someone whisper, "Watch it, Blondie." Things went black when I crashed into something.

Harmony

I looked at Isaiah wide-eyed for a split second. "Did you just - did you - HOLY FUCK!" I shouted, finally able to speak, and ran over to Alyssa.
"Yeah, I saw it. But at least Alyssa's okay," he muttered, glancing over to Meghan and making a face. "Meghan wasn't so lucky."
I didn't look at her. Gag reflexes or something. I was afraid I'd vomit. I poked Alyssa lightly in the side. "Lyss, are you alright?"

Blaze

I stood still for a second, watching my girlfriend and twin sister almost die in front of me wasn't exactly my goal for the day. Eventually I snapped out of it and ran over to Alyssa with one of the teachers who was nearby. She opened her slowly while shaking.
"What the h-hell? I was right in front of it. And so was she. And there - there was a guy. He wasn't human. That wasn't. It's not even possible," she rambled.
"Alyssa, it's okay. You're suffering post traumatic stress. The impact must have pushed you out of the way," the teacher told her.
"Meghan just died! I was right next to her," she almost screamed at the teacher. Normally, I would've tried to get her to shut up. But I knew she'd calm down eventually.

[Louise]

Cheylan

Everyone left, which was comforting. I was glad I could be left alone.
But, to be honest, I couldn't be fucked to sit here and twiddle my thumbs. So, I stood up and left the school, and just walked around town. I didn't like it there, anyway - I thought the place was shit. But eh, I digress.

[Callie]

Hayden

I made a face. "My sister got hurt. I have to go and help her."

Harmony

"I think she needs to rest," I told the teacher. "I'll help her home."

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I groaned weakly, and tried to remember where I was, and why I was on the floor when I remembered standing up.
Blade
"Oh...that's bad...can I come with?"

[Callie]

Vincent

"Hey, just hang in there, okay, Smokkey? Help's on the way," I told her gently, adding, "I hope," under my breath.

Hayden

I started walking backwards slowly. "You're strong?"

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I slowly opened my eyes and completely forgot about no looking people in the eye. I looked up at Vincent and felt even more pain as I gained control over his body too. I wasn't able to think right and stayed like that for a few minutes before it occured to me to just shut my eyes. When I did so I passed out cold again, more tired then I ever had been in my life.
Blade
"I would assume I am..."

[Callie]

Hayden

"Then what are you waiting for?" I asked with a slight smirk, turning around and running for the slums.

Vincent

I blinked a few times, and wondered why there were a few seconds that my mind felt blank. Then I realized that Smokkey had looked me in the eyes. I shook my head slightly and stood up, keeping watch for anyone else. Though I still felt like a wimp that she'd had to save my ass.

I smirked too and ran after her. "What building?"

[Callie]

Hayden

"The old burnt-down one at the end of a cul-de-sac," I said.

*insert time poof 'coz I'm cool like that*

I cautiously walked up to the house and inside. Almost immediately I was caught hold of and there was a knife to my throat. After a moment, though, I was released. "Sorry," a guy apologized. "Thought you might be someone else."
"You're Vincent, right?"
He nodded.
"Thanks for taking care of my sister. Keep in mind that's the only reason I haven't murdered you for putting a knife to my throat yet," I said, kneeling down next to Smokkey and thinking, then looking up. "What happened?"
"She used her powers and passed out. Some guy came in and... well, he acted like he wanted to rape her or something." he scowled and I joined him, looking down.
"Well, I doubt we're gonna be able to explain that to a hospital," I muttered.

Zephyr

The bell rang, signaling the school day was over, and I leapt out of my seat. I had to wonder to myself if Emerson and I were still on for that movie, since I'd sort of rejected him in a way, after all. I just... didn't want to be more than friends. With anyone.

[Emmy]

Blade
"She's out cold. And will be for a while." I said when I kneeled down to examine her. "We can just say she had too much stress....that'll work well."
Emerson
I walked after her. "So, we still on?" I asked her casually.

[Callie]

Hayden

I thought for a minute, then nodded and picked her up by the shoulders. "A little help?"
Vincent picked up her feet.
"Pity we don't have a car," I mumbled as we headed out the door.

Zephyr

I shrugged. "It's up to you."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"I don't know about that. There's a school nurse and psychiatrist on the school grounds that could help her."
I looked at her coldly, "Why the hell would I need either?"
"Well, for one, you're not focusing on my face. Which means you're possibly suffering from a concussion."
I rolled my eyes at sat up, "Then I'll try not to run into a tree on the way home."

[Callie]

Harmony

"Besides, school's out, she's not your business anymore. I'll make sure she doesn't run over or something." I dragged Alyssa away a bit. "Lyss, there was no guy."

[Emmy]

Blade
"She doesn't look that heavy." I said skeptically.
Emerson
"I still wanted to see one." I said with a slight smile.

[Callie]

Hayden

"I have weak arms."

Zephyr

"Then I guess we're still going." I smiled. "I'll see you at five?"

[Emmy]

Blade
"I can carry her," I said holding my arms out, with a smirk.
Emerson
"Mhmm, you shall." I said nodding.

[Callie]

Hayden

"If you drop her or hurt her, I will personally kill you in your sleep. I don't care if you have the senses of a ninja, I'll find a way to do it," I warned him, but made Vincent help me hold her out to Blade.

Zephyr

I headed outside and waved to him as I caught up to Tristan and Hailie Jade. Not surprisingly, Tristan was flirting with Hailie Jade, and she was just looking amused, but having none of it.

[Emmy]

Blade
"I won't!" I said defensively, putting my one arm under her knees and the other to hold her shoulders.
Emerson
I hopped back into my car, and sighed. There was something that happened to Zephyr...I just knew it..but what?

[Callie]

Hayden

I just nodded slightly when he didn't drop her. Vincent looked more worried than I did, and I smirked at him. "What?" he asked defensively.
"Quit checking out my unconscious sister and let's get to the hospital."
He blushed a bit, but nodded and headed out the door.

Zephyr

"Hey, manwhore. You done?" I asked teasingly.
He smiled sheepishly. "Sure," he said, and I followed Hailie Jade off to Tegan's car, where she was waiting.

[Emmy]

Smokkey
"....mmmm...." I tried to make a word but couldn't. Who was holding me? It didn't smell like Vincent. I was too tired to open my eyes.
Blade
"Welcome back," I said looking down at her for a second then back to where I was going.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"No, there was a guy. I didn't seem him, but he grabbed my arm and threw me at a car. I'm not imagining it," I told her stubbornly. Yet, the more I thought about it, the more I was almost wondering if I'd had a little more damage to the head than I thought. And the more my brain hurt.

Blaze

I wanted to help Harmony talk sense into Alyssa, but I couldn't be outside near Meghan. It made me feel like choking up or something and I wasn't going to do that. I turned around and walked off to find my guitar.

[Louise]

Cheylan

After walking around for God knows how long, I started to get hungry. To my convienience, I was close to a gas station, so I walked in and bought a meat pie. I then continued to walk in random directions, as I was doing before.

[Callie]

Harmony

"Lyss, even I didn't see him," I told her, frowning slightly as I watched Blaze walk off, then looked back to her. Not that I could blame him. His girlfriend had just gotten brutally run over by a bus. That was sort of a downer. Now even I felt bad for being a bitch to her in music class. Even if she'd started it by starting shit with Alyssa.

OOC: No idea what to post for Zephyr or Hayden, so... feel free to post again, Emmy.

Smokkey
I didn't like the feel of whoever was holding me. Not at all. "Let....down..." I murmured.
Blade
I looked back down at her. "Sorry, but I don't think you're up to even moving, let alone talking, kid."

Hayden

"Smokk, just go back to sleep. And don't you dare try to fall out of his arms; we're gonna get you help," I told her firmly.
