Secrets & Fire 3: The Fortunate

[Callie]

Vincent

"That's an understatement," I told him. "Hands off, though, she's mine." I thought for a moment, then took my pocketknife out. "You could leave now, y'know."

Zephyr

I knew most of the questions, but had trouble on a few, so I thought back and took longer with my test than I should have. I set it down on the teacher's desk when I was done, then sat back down at my desk, putting my head down so she wouldn't see me, and turning on my iPod.

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I blushed bright red at that, since when was I his girlfriend? "Awww, apparently she didn't know that until now." He started to advance on me, taking out a handgun.
Emerson
After I'd handed me test in I leaned back and sighed loudly. Boooooring.

[Callie]

Vincent

I started forward too, and managed to cut him in the arm with the knife. At least halfway through his arm, from the boney part under the knife that I could feel now.

Zephyr

I smirked and leaned over a bit, handing one of the earphones to Emerson with a questioning look. I wasn't sure if he liked The Agonist, which was what I was currently listening to, but it was worth a shot.

[Emmy]

Smokkey
He looked at Vincent with obvious rage. When he started to raise the gun I stepped in front of Vincent breaking contact with him and the guy, and took off my sunglasses. He looked right into my eyes as he'd hoped. My own glowed, and all I could feel was pain. In it I managed to command him to go to a police station and fess up. Then I blinked, and lost contact, slipping out of consciousness and falling to the ground.
Emerson
I gave her a thankful look back and took the earphone gratefully. I nodded a little bit. They were okay.

Alyssa

"Fine. Well, we could actually go 'downtown.' But you can buy shoes, I'm good." I turned to Blaze, "By the way, Carter said he was coming home early. Yay."

[Callie]

Vincent

The guy walked out of the place and I knelt down next to Smokkey, checking for a pulse. She still had one, she'd just fainted. I had no idea what to do, but I checked her front pocket and found her cell phone. I saw a number marked "Hayden" and it seemed familiar enough, so I dialed it.

Hayden

I bit my lip as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I shut it off, then looked at it under my desk. Smokkey. I frowned slightly and texted her. im in class!
this is vincent, not smokkey. she got hurt, we're in the slums in that old cul-de-sac, in the burnt down house. do you know where im talking about?
My eyes went wide. Man, I'd have to be fucking creative with this one. Or at least sneaky. yeah, i'll be rite there. I raised my hand. "I need to go to the bathroom," I told the teacher after I'd touched the eraser of my pencil to the dangly thing in the back of my throat.
"Go ahead," she said quckly.
I got out of my seat and ran to the bathroom, throwing up in the toilet then making a face and flushing it down the toilet. I realized too late that I had nothing to brush my teeth with. Eww. I cast some weird spell and it felt better. The things I do for you, Smokk, I thought before slipping out of the school and heading to the slums.

Isaiah

I grinned. "I don't need any new shoes, but I could tag along and tell you what makes you look fat and what doesn't, if you'd like."

Harmony

"So the practice is when and where?" I asked, confused.

[Emmy]

Smokkey

Blade
I watched Hayden leave and wondered where she was going. Hmm. I should get used to her habits, probably. I got up and asked to leave for my special reasons, by which I could leave whenever I wanted, and followed her out the door. "Hayden?"

[Callie]

OOC: It's okay.

Hayden

I whirled around when I heard my name and saw Blade. "Yeah?"

[Emmy]

Blade
"Uh....I was just wondering where you were going in the middle of class." I said sheepishly, shrugging.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"But that's a problem, because I don't shoes. But you can help me pick out bras." I decided that would scare him.

Blaze

"That would mean... tonight. After school. But I don't know whose house. It might be Carter's."

[Callie]

Isaiah

I smirked and winked at her. "Only if you're going to model them for me, too," I told her with as innocent a look as I could muster.

Harmony

"I'll need directions to Carter's house, then," I said, nodding.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I smirked back at him, "You don't seem gay enough today for me to take my shirt off in front of you."

Blaze

"Or I could just take you with me. Alyssa usually comes too," I suggested.

[Callie]

Harmony

I shrugged. "Sure. I'll just walk over to your guys' house after school or something."

Isaiah

I snapped my fingers. "Damn."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Well... Maybe if you're feeling more gay tomorrow, then you'll get lucky. But not that kind of lucky. I sort of like my own pants," I told him with a serious nod.


Blaze

"Works for me. Or you could ride back with us too?"

[Callie]

Harmony

"That works."

Isaiah

I just laughed and grinned at her. "Nah, tomorrow's a straight day."

Alyssa

"Is that a good or bad thing, then?"

Blaze

"I think this is one of my favorite classes now," I decided with a grin.

[Callie]

Harmony

I just laughed. "Wanna try another song? I'll even sing louder this time. I'm aiming for a ten."

Isaiah

"Depends on your point of view."

[Ashley (;]

Blaze

I turned towards Alyssa, "Lyssa, what should Harmony sing next?"
Meghan looked up with a smirk spreading on her face. She used to be one of the sweetest people you'd meet, but those moments were rare after she went cheerleader.
"Alyssa! Stop trying to get in the new kid's pants and listen to Blaze!" she shouted, causing a few people to stare at Alyssa. I glared at Meghan but she just went back to filing her nails.

[Callie]

Isaiah

"Let's not lie. I was trying to get into her pants. Not vice versa," I called to Meghan with a slight smirk. Eh, why not get myself a reputation? It wasn't like I cared anyways.

Harmony

I snorted and looked down at the ground while other people looked at Isaiah.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I felt my face start to turn bright red, mainly because I knew most of the people staring at me. Meghan still semed satisfied by looking at my face.

Blaze

I shook my head in disbelief. Something told me she was never going to be the same.

[Callie]

Harmony

I glared at the people still looking at Alyssa. "What the hell are you looking looking at? Assholes. Like you haven't all tried to get into someone's pants before. And even if you haven't, she's not doing it." I turned to look at Meghan then. "And newsflash: you don't own this school, and the world doesn't fucking revolve around you. So get. Over. It. And don't fuck with Alyssa."

Alyssa

I knew right now was supposed to be one of those moment where everyone goes back to what they were doing, but I cracked up laughing. Meghan looked horrified and even Blaze looked like he might burst out in laughter.

[Callie]

Harmony

I bit my lip and looked down at the ground, holding back a smirk. "I'm PMSing, don't mind me," I muttered to Alyssa.

Isaiah

I blinked, then clapped a few times, smirking.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I grinned, "No, that was epic. But now we need to get out of class."

[Callie]

Harmony

I shrugged and stood up. "Works for me. I don't like this place anyways."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Anybody wanna come?" I asked sweetly, knowing Blaze would come over before he even stood up.

[Callie]

Isaiah

"What are we doing?" I asked.
"Well, first we're taking the subway to the zoo to see polar bears. Then we're gonna go to the fucking candy store for lollipops and licorice. And after that - "
I cut Harmony off, smirking. "I get the point. We're doing something ultra-secretive."
"Nah, I just wanted to be a smartass. We're going to band practice."
I shrugged. "I'd love to. But I can't. Things to do and blah. I get to go with dad to move Mom's coffin. Fun stuff."

Alyssa

I frowned, "I'm sorry. Well... Maybe you could come over later? Or maybe come to band for a bit and then go to your Dad's?" Meghan decide to come over at stand next to Blaze, who looked like he might break up with her any second.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I shrugged. "I don't know where band practice is," I told her, smirking slightly while Harmony glanced over to Meghan, then glared at the ground.

Alyssa

"Well, we have an extra seat in the car," I told him, "But we're having a race."
"We are?" Blaze asked in confusion.
"Yep. Starting... now!" I took off running for the car.
