I frowned slightly, then waved my hand and watched as Devantae took a deep breath and stood up. "Of course," I said gently to Natalia.
"They disappeared," Devantae said quietly.

I nodded mechanically, and hugged Natalia again, shooting Gabriel a look. I knew I'd probably looked like an idiot just a minute ago, but I also knew that Gabriel knew that wasn't my actual fear. It was clear to me that he was going to do his best to try and make my real one come true.

"Well!" I said, clapping my hands together. "Let's start the Game, shall we?" I smiled dangerously one more time before snapping my fingers. Then it was just me and Natalia.

With me," I said seductively, looking into her eyes, though she was looking away. I willed her to look at me. Even if it didn't work now, she'd succumb eventually. She had to.

Eventually, I turned to look at him, and practically melted. God, he was hot...I was tempted to stay here with him forever.
Then I remembered Devantae, and shook my head. "I'd rather not," I replied to Gabriel. I loved Dev, dammit, and I would never leave him. After all, he was my everything.

I scoffed. "Oh, don't tell me you're going to try blending in with the humans when I send them back?" I asked with a roll of my eyes. "And then try getting her to love you or some other stupid thing?" I stopped talking when I realized that was what I wanted from Natalia. I wanted her to love me back. Granted, it wasn't like I was doing this the conventional way. I was giving her an option, though. And she'd give in soon enough.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "You're starting to sound human, Adrian. The elders won't like that," I said, thinking of how I could get to him, too. Well, the answer was pretty obvious, actually. "Though they'd probably quite like to get their hands on Kata... she looks just like her mother, and you remember how much they enjoyed her. Maybe I'll go say hello," I said with a grin, vanishing and reappearing in front of Natalia and Kata. Kata immediately whipped around to glare at me, and if I was right, I knew Adrian would follow me.
Maybe I'd even let slip to Kata about how Adrian had been watching her. If I was right, humans didn't much like people following their every move... that was the reason why Natalia didn't know that I'd been doing exactly that for a very long period of time.
