I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "I'll try," I told Kata, "but no promises. This is Dev's party we're organizing, after all."

Kata

"Oh, just shut up. Dev will deal with it if it's not perfect. Like he cares, as long as you're here. Now go and get yourself all beautified up, and then come back down here and you can twirl around or prance around, whatever you want. We'll take care of the food. And by that, I mean, I'll supervise while Juliette makes the food." I flashed her another confident grin.

I smirked and set the hot pink bag on the counter, "Not to fear. I brought German. Dev's favorite."

Natalia

I sighed, and just headed to my room.

[Callie]

Kata

"Dev's a guy; I'm pretty sure he just wants food," I said, looking at the clock.


OOC: I propose a time skip to the party. Who's with me?

OOC: *skips to party because Ashy also agreed in chat*

"Thank God," I said playfully to Devantae, "I wasn't sure how much more of you I could take," I said as I walked inside. Devantae rolled his eyes, but grinned at me, looking around.
"Honey, I'm home!" I called, talking to no one in particular.
Kata peered in from the kitchen. "Happy hatching day," she said to Dev with one of her grins, then turned to me, "I really hope you weren't talking to me."
"Of course not," I said - for my own sake.

I rolled my eyes and followed Kata out. "Her bark's worse than her bite," I teased giving Dev and then Christian a quick hug.

Natalia

I left my room and walked briskly (ok, more like ran, but whatever) to Devantae. "Happy birthday!" I exclaimed, giving him a huge bear hug.

[Callie]

Devantae

I laughed and hugged them both back, first Juliette, then Natalia. "Thank you, Lia," I whispered just to her, using the nickname I'd come up with ages ago that I used whenever I was feeling particularly affectionate.

Christian

I hugged her back and laughed. "You can say that, but you've never experienced the bite," I told her winningly.
"Why do I get the feeling you don't mean it the same way she does?" Kata asked, rolling her eyes.
"Because I don't." I grinned.
"Christian's Christian. He's always perving over someone," Dev butted in. "Seems like it's Kata's unlucky day."
I smirked at him. "Just be thankful it isn't Nat's."

"Revealing your secret love for Nat?" I asked Christian with a smirk.

[Louise]

Natalia

I smiled warmly at Dev, then kissed him gently on the lips. A much as I enjoyed the company of the others, he was the only one that mattered to me right now.

[Callie]

Christian

I nodded vigorously. "Of course. Who doesn't love Nat? Besides, look at that - "

Kata

"Hey, guess what?" I asked loudly to drown out Christian's words. If anyone was going to be fighting around here today, it would be me. Not the birthday boy and Christian. "Juliette brought German food."
"Awesome," Dev said with a smile.

Devantae

I kissed her back, just as gently. Natalia and kissing her... it just never got old, no matter how many times we'd done it.

Juliette

I rolled my eyes at Christian and started to walk back to the kitchen, "Made it myself."

[Callie]

Christian

"Yeah, food!" I cheered.
Kata rolled her eyes. "What did you think Nat would serve us? Dead flesh?" she suggested with a barbaric grin and a glint in her eye. Kata was all for the creepy, scary stuff.

Natalia

I pulled away after a while. "That's right," I remarked, mainly to myself. "I bought-slash-stole some new game today. Wanna try it out?" I asked Devantae, smiling at him.

I set the plates of appetizers down on the table and walked back, "A game sounds fun."

[Callie]

Christian

"Agreed. What kind of game?" I asked her curiously.

Devantae

"Stole? You daredevil," I accused, grinning at her.

[Louise]

Natalia

I laughed. "Well, the cashier just gave it to me," I told him. "He didn't ask for payment."

[Callie]

Kata

"Weird," I said simply. "So, like Christian asked, what kind of game?"

Finally cleaned up after my last...job, I knocked on the party goers door.

Christian

"I'll get it!" I exclaimed, running over to the door and throwing it open. "Michael, good tming. We just got here, too, and Nat got some kind of cool game thing that she didn't have to pay for."

I rolled my eyes.

"Great." I said sarcastically.

I stepped into the house, taking in my surroundings caustiously.

"Aw, c'mon, calm down, Mikey. It's a birthday party; nothing's gonna jump out and hurt you," I told him with a playful grin.

I relaxed and smiled.

"Hey everybody... uh, where do I put the present?"

"Kitchen table," I told him, nodding a bit.

"So... are we actually going to play this game?"

"I wanna know what the game's like!" I exclaimed, frowning slightly. No one was answering, so I didn't know. Maybe the game even sucked.
"Well, I'd tell you, but it's a blank box. Ooh, scary," Kata said, rolling her eyes.

I stared at my newly manicured nails. "Maybe we should... open it?"

I nodded in agreement. "Opening it would be the smart thing to do," I cpmmented, grabbing the blank bpx and opening it. I tilted my head in confusion - huh, looks like we'd be making a doll house.
