I nodded vigorously, hugging my knees to my chest. I couldn't tell him. Not even Stella knew, and I didn't want to share. Maybe someday I would.

I ignored her first comment since it was hardly true. My family didn't. Dad didn't care what happened to any of us unless it reflected badly on him or if he needed us for something. "Do I?" I flashed a dazzling smile her way. "They change frequently," I said - right as they changed to a cool gray.

I laughed to myself and shut the door still giggling. After I had cleared the glasses up I opened the fridge and pulled out some food and began to heat it up as I went into my room and changed into my pyjammies and then turned on the television and sighed.
