We were supposed to rid the world...
Long ago Angels and Demons walked among us, They battled furiously trying to take over, if Angels had won there would be no sorrow or anger, yet If the Demons had won then it would be just the opposite, no happiness or laughter. The Angels knew the battle would be close and that the Demons would retreat and grow stronger so the angels of the different races took the one born on exactly midnight, knowing they would be reborn after their death and bestowed a stone and a sword that when used with the other swords, could defeat the demons and make them retreat for another hundreds of years. They also had a daemon like everyone else did, a animal that reflected that persons soul. They would know who because of the stone, to the owners of the swords the stone it looked like a beautiful gem that would fit perfectly into one of the swords and give them their powers that they had since being born on midnight but to everyone else it would just look like a plain old rock. Since they were born on midnight their daemons also had the power to change shape even when the grew up, but they still couldn't be far away from each other or the shock would kill them, Also if someone killed their daemon than that midnighter would die too and vice versa.
It all worked out in the beginning but the demons began gaining power over the 'Midnighters' as they called themselves, their swords were not working as well and when they went to investigate they found out that the Angel of the Fallen had betrayed them and that they finally did live up to their namesake of Angel of the fallen. The last battle they fought they had lost, making the world dark. The demons killed them not knowing that they would be reborn.
Now in the present day they are old enough to earn their bloodright. They can see their past lives but they do not see what the Fallen Angel did to them. When they are connected with their sword (They 'accidentally cut themselves on the sword and if the blood is of the swords owner then the sword glows) they regain everything including the demons coming after them. When the Angel of the Fallen betrays them again and make sure they fall again or will They defeat them and the demons or will the world fall deeper into darkness?
