With no hope?

The land of Alear has long since been abandoned by much living life, and only the few major predators remain, hunting the scarce prey that haunt the rugged land- /how did this come to be/? /What happened to the once flowing rivers, and lush valleys/? A long time ago, Alear was inhabited by two tribes, the Aloum pack and the Deserax pride; they lived in peace- the lions took the prairies below, and the wolves stayed on the higher mountain ranges of Kunex. This peace lasted life times, generations- forever; until the Deserax pride caught a member of the Aloum pack member hunting on their territory. This was forbidden. The lions executed the wolf on the spot, no mercy taken. Normally, the wolves would say their deepest sorrows to the Deserax pride, but this was different- the wolf they had executed was the Alpha males youngest son- Romulus. A was was then started between the two tribes, it was said to last a thousand years, and then another hundred. There was slaughter, murder, pillage... The wolves fought in sorrow, the lions fought in rage. This war left the land like it is today, barren, lifeless, /with no hope/. But as the war continued, and so many innocent died, some, though few, members of the Aloum pack saw that their war was pointless, only causing more bloodshed... They tried to speak out against it, but the Alpha Male Monel silenced them.
This is where the plot starts.

Side notes:
A new secret society is growing in the Aloum Pack, they are called the Puriele. The few members in this group are trying to stop the war, but silently, for the Alpha Male Monel has silenced them once, next time he may not be so forgiving.

Lion Pride Notes:
The Deserax Pride is a vigilant group of lions, run by one, large male lion, and a large group of females and their young cubs. Don't be deceived that the females do all the fighting, for they are fierce on the battle field- as well as merciless. The Deserax Pride has survived these long years because of their /pride/, /stamina/, and power.

Wolf Pack Notes:
The Aloum Pack are a very calm, and orderly group- those these past years of war has confused their beliefs. Before the war, they had a code 'That No Innocent Shall Be Harmed' (one of the main reasons the war started- Monel's son was too young to know what he was doing). Though because of this war they have forgotten their Code- can the Puriele bring back their truths? The Aloum Pack has survived because of their close binds together, they thrive off of emotion, and fight as one.

Kanza will be in this color and London will be in this color.

A lone lioness stood in the shade of a tree, her eyes scanning across the plains searching for any other sign of life. Off in the distance she could see the boundary line to where the wolves lived, but no sign of them coming onto her land. This female was named Kanza and she was in the Deserax Pride, though that wasn't saying much because her pride was the only one around for hundreds of miles. That was if you didn't count those lousy wolves that lived in the forests around here. Stretching and yawning the female turned to her right and began to walk after the watering hole to get the taste of heat out of her month and see if there was easy prey around.

The crunching of leaves echoed in the forest as a young tan wolf ran after a deer herd that had wondered into his line of sight. No the wolf wasn't hungry at all, and he wouldn't have been able to take down a big deer by himself, he was just chasing them for the fun of it. Panting he came to a stop, his tail swinging as he watched them continue to run. London was the name of this young male and he didn't much care that he'd be yelled at for going after game without anyone to help him take one down. Padding off towards the dens of the pack London had a smile across his muzzle as his body began to cool back down.
