"We can both call him Des," I pointed out, biting back a smile. It sounded like such a girly nickname.

Rayne

I smiled, kissing her on the neck now.

"Do you have a problem with the nickname?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Eileen
I bit back a groan, tilting my head upwards slightly and closing my eyes. "Keep it appropriate, please," I murmured.

[Callie]

Rayne

"This is appropriate," I said, pouting and looking at her with puppy dog eyes. "Bree's left the room," I whispered.

Dawn

I laughed. "Yes. Des makes me think of a nickname for Desiree or Destiny, which are both girls' names."

Eileen
I smirked slightly and rolled my eyes, his 'innocence' getting to me. "I see your point then."

Andy
"You're the one who picked the name Destrian. You come up with his nickname then!"

[Callie]

Rayne

I put my arm around her and pulled her close to me. "I hoped you would."

Dawn

"Why can't we just call him Destrian? Or D. Makes him sound like a gangster." I tried to hold back laughter, but I couldn't.

"It still surprises me, how...lustful, you can be. Or maybe you just want to please me all the time," I commented.

Andy
"My son is not going to be a gangster," I protested with a laugh. "What if the baby's a girl?"

Rayne

I chuckled. "It's a little bit of both," I said, kissing her hair. "And I love you, of course."

Dawn

I shook my head. "He's a boy."

Eileen
"As I love you," I murmured in reply. "Personally, I think I'm just lustful."

Andy
"Okay, okay. I was just saying."

Dawn

"And I'm just saying, I'm 95% sure he's a he."

Rayne

I laughed. "You can be lustful if you want. I don't mind," I said with a wink.

"What, do you have some crazy good intuition?"

Eileen
I laughed too. "Well that's good then," I said with a grin, carefully leaning up to kiss him again.

[Callie]

Dawn

"No, I can just read the baby's poker face," I said very seriously.

Rayne

I leaned down to kiss her back gently.

Aubrey

I smirked slightly to myself. Since when did hospitals not smell clean?

[Callie]

Adrian

When the doctor came in, I just looked at him. "We'll have to take a sample of your bone marrow."
I made a face. "With the giant... uh... whatsitcalled?"
He nodded gravely, didn't even crack a smile at my use of "whatsitcalled". Dude, lighten up. Then he brought out the needle, which was less intimidating than I remembered, and stuck it into my arm. I just looked at Aubrey and cracked a smile for her sake.

Aubrey

I cringed slightly from looking at the needle, trying to keep my eyes on Adrian's face instead of anywhere near that thing.

[Callie]

Adrian

When he took the needle out, he then left the room. Probably to go start the test. I knew better than to get my hopes up by now.

Andy
"I'm glad to know that I picked a good baby mama - a psychic one at that," I said with a grin.

Eileen
"Mommy? What are you and Daddy doing?" Bree asked curiously.
I blushed, pulling away from Rayne. Bree occasionally referred to Rayne as Daddy - she once explained to me that her friends had these people called Dads, and she considered Rayne like them, I guess. "Nothing, honey. Go back and play."

[Callie]

Dawn

I nodded solemnly. "Damn straight. But really, I wish the kid would hurry up and be born. Him sitting on my bladder like this cannot be good for my health."

Rayne

I stifled laughter at that, but couldn't hold back a smile when she called me "Daddy".

Andy
"I don't think having a baby premature is a good thing," I pointed out. "But now you know better than to drink a lot and then go home with some guy you just met."

Eileen
Bree beamed at me and skipped back to her room, my face still a scarlett red. "Well don't you feel all special now?" I commented of Rayne's smile.

[Callie]

Rayne

"I do, actually."

Dawn

I shrugged. "Eh. I don't think the outcome was that bad," I told him with a small smile.

Eileen
"Well I'm glad you do," I said, kissing his cheek.

Andy
"I'm pleased to know that. I personally am just fine with the outcome."

[Callie]

Rayne

I just smiled and hugged her with the arm that was around her shoulder.

Dawn

I grinned. "And I'm glad to hear that."

Eileen
I sighed quietly, not saying anything. Sometimes it was nice when we had a day just for peace and quiet...then again, we couldn't have a day NOT like this considering I was 'injured.'

Andy
I pushed myself up from the floor, holding a hand out to Dawn. "I suggest we do something productive today. For once."

[Callie]

Dawn

I made a face, but took his hand. "I don't like the sound of this... What productive thing did you have in mind?"

OOC: I don't know what to put for Rayne now. xD

"I don't know," I said, pulling her up, "but we can't just sit here all day."

[Callie]

Dawn

I frowned at him. "We've done it before," I pointed out.

Andy
"I know, but let's change things up for once!"

Aubrey

I frowned to myself. The guy would just come back and say Adrian had a lost a little more time than expected. What the hell sort of reason was that to constantly go to these checkups?

[Callie]

Dawn

"Well... okay. Like I said, what do you have in mind?"

Adrian

Dr. Smith walked back in and pulled up the sample for us to see. I stared at it for a few minutes in silence and so did he. "Is that...?"
"... I think so, but I don't understand how..." he muttered, turning around. "Well... congratulations, Adrian. The cancer's... gone. It's completely left your system..."
I kept staring at the sample. I'd seen them enough times to know how they were coded, and sure enough, there was no osteoporosis left. "But what if it's... in remission?"
He shook his head. "It doesn't go into remission. It just disappears. You must have some sort of guardian angel out there for you," he said with a sidelong glance at Aubrey before leaving the room.

OOC: Totally improvised there, and yes, in my world, it doesn't go into remission, it just disappears. 'Coz my world's awesome and incorrect like that.

That's also why Zack wouldn't get into a fight at his brother's funeral, but I didn't want to spoil the secret, Jenny.

I couldn't help it. I knew I was in a hospital room, but I let out a small scream. It was probably some weird dream anyways.

Adrian

I laughed when she screamed, and I got off the bed, picking her up and hugging her tightly. "This is crazy," I said, shaking my head in disbelief. "Are we sharing a dream? Are you real? Have you always been this gorgeous?" I didn't wait for an answer, instead, I just kissed her, long and passionate and deep.

OOC: That was pretty Book Adrian-ish spirit-using poetry-ish moment-like. If that made sense. xD If it did, don't you agree? Well, sort of. Minus the poetry part, plus the "n'awww, how cute" part. xD
