I smiled gratefully. "Much. Thank you." I risked a glance at the teacher, adn he smiled fondly at me. I shuddered and focused back on Josh.

Anna and I both simply nodded. "What about you?" I asked.

[Emmy]

Annabeth
I smiled. "yes, exactly what you're there for." I said sarcastically, leaning back in my chair and putting my feet on his knees, like a recliner.

Annabeth
I shut my eyes and took out my ponytail, to see if it was tamed yet. It seemed to stay down, so i kept my eyes shut and tried to fall asleep.
Henry
Note to self: she likes to recline. And she has pretty hair. Such a pity I'll have to kill her...

Anna

I frowned. "That's no fun. What's your power, then?"

[Callie]

Anna

"Funky. I read pasts by touching people. And not that way." I smirked.
"I read the future in the same way," Tanner added, apparently feeling left out of the conversation.

[Emmy]

Tanner

"Weird," I murmured. "My thoughts feel violated now. Hey, mind if I look at your future?" I asked her curiously.

[Callie]

Tanner

I took her hand in mine and shut my eyes. After a bit, they opened wide and I dropped her hand. "Shit," I muttered.
"What?" Anna demanded. "What did you see?"
"We have to get to the school; I need to find out... I'll explain on the way," I answered, dashing out the door.

Anna

I sighed, but looked to Alicia to let her know she could come, too, then ran after Tanner.

Tanner

"I wish," I said as we ran. "I saw all of us... but not Annabeth."
"Does that mean...?" Anna started.
"I think it might." I grimaced.

[Callie]

Anna

I knocked on the door to the classroom once we asked the secretary which class Annabeth Starr would be in right about now.

[Emmy]

Henry
I opened the door. "Hello, you two would be...?" I asked casually.

[Callie]

Anna

"Anna and Tanner. We're Annabeth's cousins. We need to talk to her. It's a family emergency," I lied smoothly. It was sort of an emergency, though...

[Emmy]

Annabeth
I sat up when I heard Anna and Tanner. What exactly were they doing here?
Henry
"Oh, of course. Go ahead, she's in the back I believe." I said returning to my desk.

[Callie]

Tanner

"Thanks," I muttered, leaving Anna by the door and rushing over to Annabeth. I knelt down next to me. "Give me your hand?" I asked her quietly, holding mine out. I'd explain my behavior later.

Anna

I leaned against the wall near the door, looking around the room and biting my lip nervously. I really hoped Tanner was wrong about his suspicions.

[Callie]

Tanner

I looked over to Josh. "I'll explain later," I told him.

[Emmy]

Annabeth
"Um...ok?" I gave him my hand. What was going on...?

[Emmy]

Annabeth
I looked up at Tanner expectantly, then threw a glance at Josh. He seemed worried. I smiled a little trying to make the situation better.

[Callie]

Tanner

I shut my eyes and focused for a bit. After a little bit of it, I yanked my hand away from hers, eyes wide. I blinked a few times to get the expression off my face. I didn't want to seem too suspicious... "I gotta talk to you guys," I said quietly to Josh and Annbeth. "In private," I added, shooting a glance over to their teacher.

Annabeth
"Huh? Uh...what?" I asked, feeling a little dazed. What was so wrong? "Where do we go to make it private?"

I turned to look at Anna, who shrugged, then thought for a minute before looking over to the teacher. "Something happened to their parents... they've gotta get home. Sorry," she added, walking over and dropping an excuse note on his desk before walking out of the room and motioning for us to follow her. Huh.

Annabeth
I followed them out still in a haze. When we were in the hallway I asked it bluntly: "What the hell is going on?"

[Callie]

Tanner

"I can see the future, all right? I looked into Alicia's and everyone was hanging around, except you. So I came here, and I just read your future, and... that teacher..." I shook my head.
"I'll kill him," Anna hissed, but I quickly grabbed her arm.
"Anna, relax. We'll keep her safe," I assured her.
"How?" she asked simply.
I couldn't find an answer. I didn't know when or where it was going to happen.

Annabeth
I glanced into the classroom again, then back at Tanner. "Well I'll just go to the dance tomorrow then stay at home. Okay?"

[Callie]

Tanner

"He... raped Annabeth. And then he killed her," I said, grimacing.
"You left that part out," Anna muttered, glancing to the door to the classroom again.
"Stay," I commanded.
She stuck her tongue out at me.

[Emmy]

Annabeth
My eyes widened immediately. "What?!" I yelled even louder than Josh. Then I turned and grabbed his arm. "Josh, stop it now." I said it three times in my mind.

[Callie]

Anna

I exchanged glances with Tanner before we followed both of them and grabbed onto Josh. "Stop!" I said firmly. "If you try and kill him, he'll wonder how we knew and that might destroy the chances of the Crimsons."

[Emmy]

Annabeth
"Look, none of you, not even me, is doing anything to him. Not until I figure out something. Ok?" I told them, holding my head. "This involves me. And ONLY me. So I figure it out."

[Callie]

Tanner

I sighed. "It's your choice, I guess... just be safe. Okay? Watch yourself."

I smiled weakly. "Yeah, I know." I looked back down at Josh. "Get up. We're going home."
