I smirked and nodded a bit at Jayden. "You have..." I thought for a moment, "a week."
"A w - fine. What time?"
"Next Saturday at noon?" I suggested.
He nodded reluctantly.
I tipped an imaginary hat before turning around and starting to walk off.

Silas

I scowled at her back. Looked like I wasn't going to be at Micah's house very much for the next few days...

He shut up then. Huh. "What's your name?" I asked him, straining to look up.
"Doctor George O'Malley." he answered robotically.

Jayden
I followed her out. "Well, he'll be pickpocketing his ass off the next few days."

"Long as it's not from me and I get the money, I don't really care," I said. "Thanks for the help, by the way." Then I looked back at the kid, then to Jayden, smiling smugly. "He really is your son, isn't he?"

Silas

I walked to the room where I had seen the doctor take Holly, knocking on the door when I found it.

Jayden
I looked away from her and the ground. "Feeding child." I murmured.
Holly
"Come on in," the doctor said distractedly, tending to my bandage once again.

Silas

I walked into the room and sat down. "So, Doc, what's the verdict? Is shs gonna live?"

Kestrel

"Ah." I nodded. "Fun. So... I'll... well, I'd say I'll see around, but I don't think I will, so I guess this is goodbye."

Holly
He smiled halfway. "Well, we're going to take her into x-rays. Unless she gets infected, she'll be fine."
"X-rays? Why? I'm fairly sure it didn't go through my bone." I asked, looking at him. "Well, there's still adrenline pumping through your system, adn that's dulling your pain. So you wouldn't know that."
Jayden
"I'll come at the Saturday meeting, just to make sure he pays up, though."

Silas

"Shouldn't the adrenaline rush have worn off by now? I mean, unless she's all hyped up from knocking out one of the nurses that was poking and prodding her, which wouldn't surprise me..."

Kestrel

"Well, I'll see you then," I said with a brief smile, turning around and starting to head home.

Holly
I shot a glare at him. "I didn't do that." I said stiffly. The doctor smiled. "It usually starts to wear off when the patient's lying still for a while...like now it seems." Holly's face was twisted up in pain. I attached an IV, with pain medication.

Silas

"I still wouldn't put it past you," I told her with a smirk. For the doctor's benefit, so he wouldn't bug me about being her boyfriend, I added, "You're feisty like that." and winked. Hmm... I'd definitely get slapped later, but this just might be worth it...

I opened my eyes, the pain dulled a little. I have him a look that clearly said "What the hell, Silas" and the doctor looked from me to him, smirking. "Well, we're gonna go have the X-ray now. Holly, do you want to be put to sleep for that...?" I nodded distractedly.

[Callie]

Silas

I had to hold back a smile at how creeped out she looked. "Night Holly," I said when he asked if she wanted to be put to sleep for the X-Rays.

Holly
My look disappeared as he put an anesthesia mask over me, and I fell into a deep sleep. The creeped-out look was replaced by complete innocence. "Alright, she'll be back in a few minutes, boyfriend," the doctor said with a smirk as he rolled me off. Again.

Silas

"Alright," I called after the guy, sitting down in a chair. Man, the things I did for her... and I didn't even know her! That was the worst part. I didn't know her, and I was scooping up three-hundred bucks for her.

George
I wheeled Holly in and got her set up for the X-ray quickly, then actually did it. I asked a nurse to go wheel her back to her room as I studied the X-ray. Wow....went clear through her bone! And her bone didn't even shatter...

*twiddling thumbs and thinking about who to pickpocket next*

Random Nurse
I rolled Miss Holly in her room and studied the boy for a few minutes, before commenting. "You sure as hell don't act like a boyfriend." I took the mask off Holly's face; she'd wake up in a few minutes but would be way groggy.
(This is the nurse that forced Holly to put on the hospital gown xD)

"What, you want me to make out with her while she's unconscious or something?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at the nurse.

[Emmy]

Nurse
I rolled my eyes. "Not one touch since she's come here. I've met kids like little miss Holly before. I bet you that her entire childhood, every touch meant pain, seeing all these goddamn scars. So, being her boyfriend, I'd assume she is comfortable with your touch. Unless you're in a little dreamland, where you wish she was your girlfriend." I smirked.

I opened my mouth to say something, but found - for once - that I didn't have a comeback. So I shut my mouth and leaned back in my chair.

[Emmy]

Nurse
I rolled my eyes. "That's what I though, dreamboy." I murmured, as Holly stirred. I turned back to her. "Doctor O'Malley's examining your x-rays now, Holly." I said gently, with no trace of scorn at all, unlike earlier with the boy. I must have sounded like a different person. Holly nodded weakly.

Bio: Miranda is a nurse at Mercy West, where Holly is currently staying. She's found herself a bit attached, already, to both Holly and Silas, seeing they don't have parents. She isn't married and doesn't plan on getting there anytime soon. She's working on becoming an intern, then, hopefully, a surgeon.

"So she'll be okay, right?" I asked, feeling worried. I knew I shouldn't be, and that I should get out of here before I got even more attached, but I'd already given up on not doing that. First Micah, now Holly... hopefully I wouldn't get a reason to need to leave.

"She'll be fine." I said, my sharp tone back with him. O'Malley came in then and turned off the lights, holding Holly's x-ray up to the thingy. "As you can see, Bailey, the bullet went straight through." he told me. Wow. Then O'Malley turned to Holly. "You'll stay in here for a few days to ensure it's healing probably. Okay?" he told her gently. Holly nodded a little. I doubted she understood what was going on very well.

A few days? Great. Well, that gave me some time. "I better get going," I said aloud yo no one, heading for the door. Then I stopped to look between the doctor and the nurse. "Did you recently get a patient that was just sort of... passed out?" I asked quietly.

Miranda
I nodded. "And one that fell out of a window." O'Malley continued for me before I could say anything bad. "The passed out one, Micah? He's awake last I saw him."

I nodded mechanically. "Guess I have a visit to make later," I mumbled, wishing the doctor would just leave. If I could talk to anyone about the guy that fell out the window, it would be this nurse. She seemed to have a soft spot for Holly.

"Bailey, I have other patients-" I gave him one of my famous shut the hell up looks. "Then GO." He bit his lip and hurried out. I took a seat next to Holly's bed. She need somebody to wake up to other than her dream boyfriend.

I thought for a moment, then looked over to that nurse. "Are you allowed to like... kick patients out?" I asked her, anticipating a no. "Because, I mean... that guy that fell out the window... he's the one that shot Holly."

My eyes flashed with anger when I looked up at him, but it wasn't directed at him. "No. Even if they've done something like that. We once had a rape victim who battered up her attacker pretty bad, too; we weren't allowed to refuse him care. So, as much as I like to say it, we have to take care of him. Unless he dies."

"Oh," I said. "Well... I should probably go and... visit... Micah, then..."

"Go ahead,' I said, now more awake. "Tell him I'm sorry that I have crazy psycho people after me." I smiled just a little bit.
