Kestrel

"Could we track him down then?" I asked him, feeling sort of impatient. I wanted to make the kid pay.

Silas

Once he was out the window, I could move again. I immediately dropped the gun so that I couldn't shoot it, and rushed over to Holly. She was my top priority, because she was shot, instead of just out cold, like Micah. Fuck... I decided that I wasn't going to do her any good being next to her, and ran over to the phone, dialing 911 for an ambulance. Once it said it was on its way, I went back over to her, sighing softly to myself.

Michaela

"Woah... how far up can you fly?" I asked.

Holly
"It isn't your fault, Silas." I said immediately, through clenched teeth. I took my hand off the spot for a second to look. That was a lot of blood...I placed my hand back on, only because I didn't know what else to do. "Lookit that, I'm ruining Micah's floor," I said dryly.
Jayden
"Of course I can...but no killing him. He's only around fifteen."
Dallas
"Pretty high," I said mischievously.

[Callie]

Silas

"I know it wasn't my fault. It was that bastard's," I said angrily, looking down at the floor, too. "Yeah, you are. He's gonna be pissed at you."

Kestrel

I glared slightly at him. "The jackass stole my family heirlooms and bypassed my security, and I'm supposed to not kill him?"

Michaela

"Like... cloud-high?" I asked, grinning at him.

Holly
I tried to catch all of the dripping blood in my hand but it was no use. I thought vaguely of taking off my shirt completely to soak up the blood, but decided against it since he was here. so I just pulled it up a little and let that catch the blood, only my stomach was showing then. "Sorry about this, don't wanna make Micah mad or whatever," I said smirking at him.
Dallas
"Yup." I said nodding. "Ready? 3...2...1..."
Jayden
I stayed firm. "That is what I said. I'll talk to the kid to get them back. Or use action." I flashed my fangs for a minute.

[Callie]

Silas

I shrugged. "Do what you have to."

Kestrel

"Fine. But I get to come with."

Michaela

I shut my eyes at the last second; I didn't want to see while we went up.

[Emmy]

Holly
I nodded, and looked out the window. "Think he's dead?"
Jayden
I sighed. "Very well."
Dallas
I shot up into the air, much like a roller coaster until I ran in a cloud. "Blech, clouds taste disgusting."

[Callie]

Silas

"If he's not yet, he will be," I said, hearing the sirens outside. I bit my lip and carefully picked her up, being extra careful not to touch her arm. Then I headed outside and put her on the stretcher they had waiting for her. I got in the back of the ambulance.
"Uh, sir, you can't -"
"I'm coming with," I told the guy firmly.
He didn't try to argue anymore, and just shut the doors.

I grinned triumphantly and walked out the door.

Michaela

I opened my eyes and tried the cloud. "Eww," I said, making a face. "You'd think it'd taste more like cotton candy."

Holly
I blushed when he picked me up and looked at the paramedics surrounding me and tending to my arm. "Any other injuries besides the arm, miss?" one of the women asked. "No, besides my dignity," I muttered inaudibly. They started poking and prodding at the wound and I flinched away.
Jayden
"He's on the move." I said quietly, trying to sniff out where he was. An ambulance rushed by me. "He's in that!"
Dallas
"I know." I lowered a little so we were out of the cloud. "Nice adventure of the day, huh?"

Michaela

I grinned. "Definitely."

Silas

I smirked to myself as they asked Holly questions and poked and prodded her.

Kestrel

Looking after the ambulance in disbelief, I frowned. "How're we gonna catch up to that?" I asked. Apparently someone got to him before we could.

[Emmy]

Holly
I clenched my teeth to bear it but they finally crossed the line putting antiseptic stuff on it so it burned like hell. "Alright, didn't your years in freaking medical school tell you to NUMB THE PATIENT?!" I half-yelled. They all seemed surprised, but then returned to their duties, one of them jabbing a shot into my arm. Numb-er, I hoped.
Jayden
"Simple. We just go to the hospital, and I say I'm his father." Which I am.
Dallas
"We better come down before some random dude shoots me out of the sky." I said, rolling my eyes at the thought. "Or will we go through more clouds?"

[Callie]

Michaela

I thought for a moment, then nodded. "Let's not take the chance."

Kestrel

I shrugged. "Works for me."

Silas

I couldn't hold in the laughter this time. "I think you should probably ask if it's okay with her before you actually do anything... y'know, before she kicks your ass."

[Emmy]

Holly
I smiled at his comment, and more so as I felt the pain fading. Thank God. We finally got to the hospital and they rolled me out.
"I GOT THIS ONE!!!!" Someone yelled, running over to me.
"What am I, a donut?" I muttered as the person, who looked pretty young, hovered over me.
"What's her diagnosis?" he asked. "Gunshot to the arm, looks close range." He nodded and wrote something down. "Well, what's your name, honey?" He asked. "
First of all, do NOT call me honey." I told him with narrowed eyes. "I'm Holly." He frowned for a second and examined my now numb arm.
"Looks like it had an exit wound," he told the nurses who were across my strecher. "Take her to curtain number 3." He turned to Silas. "And who are you?"
Jayden
I caught a taxi and let her get in first, then I slid in. "Mercy West hospital." I told the driver.
Dallas
"Alright, this might feel like a free fall, but it's not, okay?" I warned her gently and started to let myself descend.

[Callie]

Silas

"I'm Silas," I said conversationally, smiling brightly at him to irritate him. "And you are?"

Kestrel

I stayed silent as the guy started driving.

Michaela

"Okay," I said, nodding.

Holly
I smiled as the guy continued to talk. "Holly's doctor. How are you connected with her?" They pulled the curtain. Now I couldn't hear, dammit...!
Dallas
I landed softly on the ground. "Skittles time?"
Jayden
When he stopped the car I immediately got out.

I got out after him, and headed for the front door of the hospital.

Silas

"I'm her boyfriend," I lied smoothly.

Michaela

I grinned. "You know it!"

Holly
"Nurse, what'd he say? Like, his connection?" I demanded. She looked confused for a moment then thought. "I believe he said 'friend', Holly." Damn.. They started to wrap a bandage around my arm, and one of them handed me those crappy hospital gowns with an opening in the back. I started to shake me head but this one shoved it toward me. "You will wear it." she ordered. Jeez. I first took my shirt off and slid it on, then I shed my pants off. "Can I have another to cover the hole in the back?" I asked one of the not so strict nurses. She smiled and nodded, handing me another one.
Jayden
I went straight to the front desk. "Hello. Have you had any recent people in the ER?" she nodded at me. "Just got three in. One fell out a window, one had a gunshot, and one was just knocked out." Hopefully, he was the window one. "I'm fairly sure one of them is my son. Can you please let me see him?" She seemed to think for a minute. "FIne. But tell the doctors who you are."
Dallas
I let her get off my back and took her hand, and I was getting the headstart this time.

Silas

"So... am I allowed in there?" I asked the doctor, raising an eyebrow at him.

Michaela

"We're gonna run together now?" I asked him with a grin, looking at our hands.

Kestrel

"Which one do you think is your son?" I asked him as we walked, playing along.

Holly
They pulled back the curtain again. "Apparently, you are," he paused, then smiled. "I have other matters to attend to. Go and visit all you want." he said before walking away.
Dallas
"I guess so, running's a little more normal."
Jayden
"Well, I know he slightly looks like me.." I came to the third curtain, where Holly sit looked pretty annoyed and Silas was with her. "Damn, he wasn't the one hurt," I murmured to Kestrel.

[Callie]

Kestrel

"And he's not related to you? Weird," I muttered, glaring slightly at the kid.

Silas

"What, disappointed? What are you doing here anyways?" I asked Jayden and the random chick he was with coldly.

Michaela

"Just a little bit."

Jayden
"You, c'mere." I took his arm and made him follow anyway. "You stole some of her stuff." I stated quietly to him.
Holly
I looked at the woman. "So....you his girlfriend?"
Dallas
When we got to the gas station I immediately grabbed a pack of Skittles and fished around for my wallet. "Hmm....jeez, my pocket's not that big...."

Kestrel

I had to hold back laughter at this one. "No. I'm not."

Silas

I shrugged. "It happens." What, did he want me to apologize so everything could be all rainbows and butterflies or something?

Michaela

"Here, I'll get them," I said, reaching into my pocket and pulling out two dollars. It should be enough.

"Thanks. And damn. i think I left it at Pizza Hut." I frowned.
Holly
"Then why are you traveling with him? Because honestly, he's a living breathing hell."
jayden
"No, apologies mean nothing." I hissed. "Give her the stuff back, or you may find yourself a vampire."

Silas

I shook my head. "Can't. I pawned it."

Michaela

I bought the pack of Skittles and shoved them into my pocket. "Wanna go back and get it, then?"

Kestrel

"He's helping me out. Your little boyfriend stole a few very important things from me, and I'd like them back."

[Emmy]

Holly
I knew I was blushing, but I didn't care. "He's not my boyfriend."
Jayden
"Then give me the money. Or, to make you listen, should I target your girlfriend?"
Dallas
"That'd probably be a good idea."

"Sorry for the mistake," I said cooly, smirking slightly at her. She looked like she wouldn't mind it if he was.

Silas

I sighed and reached into my pocket, remembering that I'd gotten about $250 out of it. He didn't need to know that, though. I handed him a hundred out of the guy that had tried to attack Holly's wallet.

Michaela

I started walking back to Pizza Hut, hand in hand with Dallas.

Holly
I shifted uncomfortably in my bed, and looked over to where Silas and Jayden were talking.
jayden
I took the money. "Well, I can unleash Kestrel on you now. She loved the stuff you took." I went back over to her and put the money in her hand. "Says he pawned it."
Dallas
"You seem really happy today." I remarked smiling at her.

[Callie]

Kestrel

I put the money in my pocket and narrowed my eyes. "Are you sure I can't kill him?"

Silas

I rolled my eyes. "If you're gonna talk about my death, at least say it to my face. I have just given you a hundred dollars."
The girl looked beyond pissed. "Well, what you sold was worth way more than this, so hand it over."
I shrugged. "I don't have any more."
"We'll see about that." she walked over and went to stuff her hand into my pocket, probably looking for a wallet or something.
I made my eyes widen and I backed up. "Whoah, lady. Watch where you're putting your hands, wouldja?"
She rolled her eyes. "Not like that. Christ."
I pointed to myself. "Teenage boy."

Michaela

"I like hanging out with you." I smiled.

Jayden
I couldn't help but smile at that. "Yeah, I'm sure you can't kill him." I whispered this in her ear though. "Allowed to kill the people around him, though."
Holly
I rolled my eyes and was startled as the doctor came back, and started wheeling me away. "Taking you to a room." he said simply.

[Callie]

Kestrel

"Hm..." I said, though the girl was already out of the room. I was sure we could find her again, though. "Maybe."
"Leave her out of this," the boy growled.
I raised an eyebrow. "So she is your girlfriend. You might wanna talk to her about that; she seems to be in denial."
"She's not my girlfriend, just leave her alone. She hasn't done a thing to you. What do you even want from me?"
"I want the other 300 dollars I should've gotten for everything you pawned," I told him.
"And if I don't have it?"
"Well, then..." I looked over to the door where the girl had gotten dragged out of.
He glared at me. "I'll get it. Just give me some time."

When we were out of Silas's hearing range, the doctor started to talk. "Sure doesn't act like you boyfriend. No loving kiss, not even a hug."
"Yup, he's special that way." I muttered.
Jayden
"Well played." I praised Kestrel under my breath.
