Katie lowers her eyes to the floor,
her heart crumbles inside.
Daddy says, "your worthless, you deserve to die."
He doesn't see the pain so deep hidden in her eyes.
At school she recites the lies she has lived by all her life,
"No Daddy doesn't hit me, i fell down the stairs last night.
Yes my mommy loves me and they feed me all the time."
She comes home from school and she cowers in her room.
No five year old should have to face the pain that she goes through.
there is no point in living these stupid pointless lies.
My Daddy must be right i do deserve to die.
A loud knock on the door tells katie she must hide.
But its too late he grabs her arm and carries her outside.
"I'm sorry Daddy for what I've done Don't you know I love you?
And all I've ever wanted was for you to love me too?"
She should have told somebody but now it is to late.
As daddy takes his nine out of the cupboard by the sink.
He puts a bullet through her head and then one through his own.
katie goes to heavan finally she's home.
In the cold
A fire deep inside my soul,
You built it and you let it grow.
Our hearts filled with burning desire,
summer fulled that rising fire.
But winter came, bearing ice and snow.
Chilled the fire, left it cold.
I'm left here now with nothing to hold,
Left here waiting in the cold. <3
