Set about 500 years in the future.
The Earth as we know it has changed dramatically. While the very few rich or famous live in houses not dissimilar from the Jetsons (complete with high-tech holoscreens), the slums below the buildings get worse even then seen today, in some places.
New technologies were experimented with, including cybernetic and genetic technology. This resulted in mutants and such with superhuman abilities. The genetics ranged from making super computer hackers to part-animals, anything you can think of! However, keep in mind, the genetics projects were (supposedly) called off over three hundred years ago because the mutants were seen as a danger, and swiftly executed. Still, some survived, and even now, a few mutants of different types are born in every generation, hunted down.
Cybernetics, except for the most basic, is strictly hush hush. The average person maybe lost a limb, got a new arm that glows in the dark, and one finger flips to a pen. Even some sentient robots exist, once again, so long as they are government-regulated in terms of upgrades. Anything more then that is illegal, and may be set up on the black market, or a government experiment. The cyborgs/robots can be either undistinguishable from human, or obviously not completely human, it doesn't matter. (so long as they keep any unlawful powers secret)
Finally, Aliens. From the deepest reaches of space, some may have crashed here eons ago, or come as 'humans'. There is a space station orbiting earth, so hitching a ride on a shuttle to the planet isn't very hard. Be any sort of alien, so long as any powers they have are reasonable, and the alien has a way to look human.
All characters live in Nork city, what New York City has become after 500 years. Any questions, feel free to ask, I might not have made certain parts clear.

"Nice way of saying small." I half-smiled and sat down on the couch.

I grinned. "Hey, do you believe in supernatural things?" I asked him carefully.
Zane
"Like ghosts? I guess I can see there's something else here on earth. I just don't know what to believe as of yet." I shrugged.
Natalie
I cleared my throat. "Alright, I just need to tell you something then. I'm kinda like... an alien." I smirked, feeling terribly uncomfortable.

I woke up still completely bored. Maybe I'd go rob a bank.

Bio: She remembers going into the goverment and helping them, she was then asked to help them with a few experiments. Although the last she remembers was them trying to kill her after the experiment apparently failed she managed to escape with out harming a cell on her body. Later she learnt the extent of the experiment.
Personality: Kind, Caring...Slightly stiif sometimes.
Powers?: Body full of titanium, so she can grow extra limbs and claws (Slightly wolverine like.), She can also heal most injuries if cause is removed, Strength,More agile.
Other: Can change hair colour, is also a bit of a pyromanic

The only thing she knows is that she has been able to do it since the age of 8 and her mother monopolized her talents with a business of letting her out for parties, circus tricks, ad incredible strong girl shows. Renemay has offered her services to the police force but they denied her and then locked her in a cell in which she later escaped from. Renemay is now on the run and by a mere miracle is heavily pregnant.
Personality: Quiet, Brave, Friendly & Hormonal
Powers?: Able to bend anything she wishes
Other: One purple eye and the other bright green. Also pregnant:)
