"Where are you going, darling?" Mother asked, looking at me and taking herself out of the women's conversation.
I pushed in my chair, folding my hands behind my back. "I think I want to turn in early. I feel a bout of sea sickness coming on," I murmured. "Goodnight, Mother."
"Goodnight, dear."
I hurried back to my room once I was out of sight, changing into the dress Nicholas had gotten for me. It fit almost perfectly, and I stared at myself in the reflection in the mirror, shaking my hair loose of my bun. Changing into some more simple shoes, I closed the door to my room and headed for the clock.

NicholasI paced back and forth on the deck, wondering if she could even get away from the place. Chastity just watched me with a smirk. "So, I finally get to meet the new girlfriend," she said teasingly. I smiled faintly at her. "Yes, you finally get to meet the new girlfriend," I told her, rolling my eyes. "What's she like? Other than first-class. Though I guess that pretty much sums it up." I frowned at her. "Not all first-class people are... snobby and stuck-up, Chass." She shrugged and looked out to the sea. "No... I guess you're right." I just looked at her in surprise; I'd been expecting an argument ending with her storming off to the party without me. Not that I minded this; I hated fighting with Chastity. OOC: If she hadn't met James, that's how she would've reacted. xD But Juliet might still be tested, so watch out.

"Oh? What do you mean, overwhelming?" I asked her, arching an eyebrow.
"Chass, please," Nicky pleaded. I ignored him. I had to hear this. Besides, he was lucky enough I hadn't said the other comment that had first popped into my head: Oh, please. Don't act like everything in your first-class world isn't perfect. Which was definitely the meaner course of action. But I was attempting to be somewhat civil, for Nicky's sake.

I wrinkled my nose, not really wanting to answer her. Lately it seemed like I had a thing for spilling about my personal life, but this woman was sending off some hostile vibes, even if they weren't obvious. "I'd rather not get into it, if you don't mind. Let's just say that the life of boring parties and petty gossip isn't for everyone."

I smiled widely, then picking up a leg of...lamb meat, was it? I shrugged, though the trained girl inside of me told me I shouldn't eat it. I took a bite, then marveling at it's goodness. "Third class food is really good!" I exclaimed.

"I'll go look for some drinks, then," I told him, pushing past a group of laughing people. I finally found an empty table with a few glasses of untouched beer. I shrugged, picked one for myself, and chugged it. I don't get this often; mine as well enjoy what I can get.
