My phone buzzed, and I looked up to make sure the stupid teacher wasn't looking before texting Adam back. Detention.

OOC: ^-^ Yay. It was so much easier to want him to be with J when Clare wasn't here. =P Now that Clare's here I'm like "ELI HAS TO BE WITH CLARE AND NO ONE ELSE."

I chuckled. "You think Clare would like that? " I sent back, knowing he'd be pissed at me.

My face flushed in anger and embarrassment at Adam's next text. Clare's not here anymore. I texted back, angrily stabbing at the keys on the phone.

"You're point? I know you must think about her all the time hu? XD" I laughed, imagining his face as he got the text.

I finished redecorating my old locker, still wondering how I'd managed to get the exact same one with all the new students. The entire flight here, in between sleeping, I was wondering how to tell anyone that I was back. But I couldn't do it, I was too scared of their reaction. What if they didn't want me back? I couldn't exactly turn around and fly back to Kenya, not fitting in there either.

Shut UP, Adam. Leave me alone, I texted, wanting to yell outloud now. I was tired of being so upset by Clare leaving, but how could I not be? Being this sensitive about it though...ugh, I hate myself for it!

After I was sure my backpack was empty, I glanced at my school schedule for tomorrow. All the classes looked the same. So far everything felt just like I'd gone on school break and was back, leaving me even more scared for the next day. Everything couldn't be the same, that much was for sure.

ooc:... What was the reason Clare left again?

OOC: I think she couldn't handle having to live with her parents separately(because of the divorce), so she transferred out of Degrassi and moved to live with Darcy in Kenya.

Miss Dawes(teacher)
As I gathered my things on my way to leave, I walked down the empty halls and saw one girl standing alone, decorating her locker. "Miss Edwards," I scolded as I came up to her. "I'm glad to see you back at Degrassi, but you know that with the new rules you aren't allowed to be here after school. I'll have to send you to the rest of detention." I sighed.

Clare

I frowned slightly. It wasn't a good idea to backtalk on my first day. "Yes, Miss Dawes." With that, I walked off to the detention room, slipping in quietly while staring at the floor.

Sighing, I played with the piercing in my ear, smiling slightly when I remembered when I'd gotten it. It'd hurt so bad, and Clare though drinking hot sauce would make me forget the pain. I let my hand fall onto the desk and looked up, going to look at the clock, but stopping at the door. That...no, I must be crazy. That can't be...Clare?!

I froze when I saw Eli staring at me. So much for not seeing anyone yet... He was going to hate me or something.

I felt like I should be ecstatic. I mean...I'd been missing her so much and everything, but...I felt kind of mad. Why didn't she tell me she was back? It would have been nice to know. I diverted my eyes and look at my folded hands on the table. I wouldn't be surprised if she lectured me about being in detention.

I smiled slightly, going back to writing as he texted someone. Then it was eerily silent, so I looked up, realizing Eli had moved and was looking at a new girl that had just entered the room. "Hey," I said to her simply, waving a bit.

I wanted to shout at J to hush up, to tell her exactly who that girl was and that she was mine and mine alone, but said nothing. I was itching to text Adam and ask if he knew that Clare was back and why he hadn't told me, but I didn't.

I smiled. Then sent Eli one last text, "Hey and uh so Clareiscomeingback."

I. Noticed. I said, stabbing at the keys again. I couldn't...I couldn't just stay here. With her here. Not when I wasn't sure how I felt about this. Not caring if I got in trouble, I picked up my backpack, slammed my chair in, and stormed out of the classroom, trying to take deep breaths.

I waved back at the other girl before Eli stormed past me. I followed after him cautiously. Well, I already had detention, so it wasn't like I was missing anything important...

I looked up in surprise as that boy stormed out. It obviously was something to do with that girl, but she hadn't said anything. Still, it wasn't my place to make judgements.

ooc: I just felt like making her say something; she's kinda lonely.

I stopped at the Dairy Queen next to the school. "Whatcha want?"

I got a sunday and We sat on the bench. Layla told me all about her day at school

I heard footsteps behind me, and I whipped around to yell at whoever it was; I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. My mouth was half-open, ready to shout, when I realized it was Clare staring back at me. I closed my mouth, my body still tensed, but didn't say anything.

I stayed quiet for a few minutes, not really sure what my excuse was. "I didn't fit in there either... And I wasn't exactly sure what to say before I came back."
