"Yup, very." I said simply.

"How would you know though?"

After that I went silent, thinking to myself on how this would even work, as I colored my cockroach/Snoopy.

Vincent

I shrugged. "You're kind of beautiful, if you hadn't realized," I told her with a wry smile. "Even with the shades," I added teasingly.

[Emmy]

Blade
I looked at the chalkboard, tuning out what the teacher was saying. All I wanted to do was go home and sleep.
Smokkey
I blushed furiously. "You want to see my eyes?" I asked, taking my sunglasses off and staring at the ground. "Put them on," I said holding them out to him. "I can't have direct eye contact without a barrier, or bad things will happen."

"So..." I lowered my voice so that the teacher wouldn't hear us. "How are things with Darren?"

Tegan

I made a face and shrugged. "We're fighting. Over Dennis. Again. I don't understand why he gets so jealous!" I said quietly.

Vincent

"But that takes away from the full effect," I protested, but put them on anyways. Then I posed, unable to take myself seriously at the moment. "How do I look with girl's sunglasses?" I asked her with a grin.

Smokkey
I looked up. "Aww, very sexy," I said with a grin. "Are the eyes freaking you out?"

Georgia

I grimaced. "Again? Wow... well, maybe it's because you guys are so damn close. Though he should know that you would never do anything with Dennis."

[Callie]

Vincent

I looked up at her eyes and shook my head. "Not really, nope."

Tegan

"I know! But, I mean, we've been best friends for eight years, does he expect us to not be really close or something?" I sighed. "I just don't know anymore."

Georgia

I frowned. "Well, if it helps: things aren't going great with Justin either. He has been avoiding me for a week."

[Callie]

Tegan

I smiled weakly. "Actually, it makes me feel crappy for ranting to you about my problems when you have your own. But thanks for trying. Hey... do you wanna come over after school? I mean, you haven't been before, and you could meet the family!"

Georgia

I smiled back. "Well, that actually sounds like fun. I'd love to."

[Callie]

Tegan

I smiled back, then shut up as the teacher looked our way again. Shortly after that, the bell rang.

OOC: Lunchtime. >.> They have a weird school. There'll be one more class after lunch, and then school's over, because I have no patience. And their schedules are different every day.

"You free for lunch? Or do you got a play date?" I grinned slightly.

Dennis

I yawned as the bell finally rang. I walked out of the classroom and walked toward the cafeteria.

"Well, I told Dennis I was gonna sit with him, but you should sit with us," I told her, nodding.

"Oh okay," I said as we walked toward the cafeteria. I waved at Dennis when I saw him. He smiled at us.
"I take it that you survived?"
"Barely," I replied.

[Callie]

Tegan

"As in, we almost got dentention for talking. The horror!" I exclaimed, grinning at him. "What about you?"

Dennis

"Incredibly dull, but isn't it always," I said with a laugh as I put an arm around Tegan and ruffled her hair. "Let's eat." Georgia nodded in agreement.

[Callie]

Tegan

"Hey!" I complained, trying to fix my hair quickly before it was my turn to get my food. "I spent a whole ten minutes getting it to look like this!"
"It shows," a familar voice said.
I whirled around to see Demetri. "Hey, what're you doing here?"
He held up what looked like an ID card. "I'm a visitor," he answered with a grin.
"Didn't you get enough of school when you still went here?"
"Not quite. It's a work in progress," he told me seriously.
I rolled my eyes. "You still didn't answer my question. Why are you here?"
"Free food."
"Free bad food," I corrected.
He shrugged. "It's better than Mom's, and Dad didn't wanna cook today." Then he finally looked around. "Dennis," he said with a smile, high fiving him like he always did. "And... you are?" he asked Georgia, arching an eyebrow at her curiously.
"Demetri, this is Georgia. My new best friend, 'coz she doesn't screw up my hair," I said, playfully sticking my tongue out at Dennis. "Georgia, this is my brother, Demetri."

"Huh, maybe they only glow when I have direct eye contact," I said, but mostly to myself. I stole my sunglasses back off his face and looked back up at him when they were safely on. "Don't ask what happens when I get eye contact with someone," I warned him.

Vincent

I made a face at her and kept walking. "What happens when you have direct eye contact with someone?"

Alyssa

I stepped out of the lunch line after I'd gotten food, sitting at the table I usually sat at with Harmony. A couple of my friends from cheerleading were there too.

I sat down next to Lyss, and Tristan joined us shortly after, next to Lyssa. I made a face and ate some of my food. I'd never really liked Tristan.

Tristan

"How was first period, then?" I asked Alyssa, digging into my food.

Isaiah

I got my food and walked slowly through the lunch room. No idea where to sit always happened on the first day at a new school. Great.

Harmony

Gonna ask New Kid to sit with us? I sent to Alyssa teasingly. He did look sort of all alone and such. But he didn't have that hurt puppy dog look most kids did when they didn't have anywhere to sit.

I highfived Demetri and stuck my tongue out at Tegan.
"Hi," Georgia said and smiled at him.
"I propose that we save the friendly stuff until we got food," I said to them as I grabbed a plate and picked out the stuff I wanted.

Emerson
I yawned again while I was getting my food. "Sorry," I said automatically when the lunch lady gave me a look.
Blade
I'd been one of the first to get my food so I sat down in one of the corners of the cafeteria, where I usually sat.
Smokkey
I couldn't help but laugh. "Fine. This is complete truth. I can control anything and everything you do when I look at you without a barrier."

Demetri

"Agreed," I said, getting my food from the lunch ladies.
"Pigs," Tegan teased, smirking at us.
I nodded. "Pretty much."

Zephyr

I sat down with my lunch tray at my usual mostly empty except for the other loners, who didn't really talk much. I could see Hailie Jade still in line and wondered if she'd sit over here today.

Hayden

I got my tray and decided I really didn't want to sit with my few so-called friends today, heading for the benches at the sides. Evidently, they didn't wanna sit with me, either. Our usual table was empty. I shrugged, sat down on the bench, and took my iPod out, thinking some more.

Vincent

I blinked. "Well, that's... definitely a Fortunate kind of thing. I mean, unless it's some creepy superpowers witches or vampires have," I told her.

OOC: She can be surprised he knows about witches and vampires and such, if you want, because not all the humans do.

Smokkey
I raised an eyebrow. "So, you know about that stuff. I am a witch, but it's more a Fortunate thing, except it's definitely not fortunate..."
Emerson
I looked around for Zephyr and decided to surprise her by sitting by her today instead of the usual popular table. I slid my tray next to her and grinned while sitting down. "Hey."

"Well, it might come in handy sometimes," I said with a shrug. "It'd be better if you could turn it on and off as you pleased though... have you actually tried that?"

Zephyr

I looked up in surprise to see Emerson. "Hey. Who said you could sit at my table?" I asked with a teasing grin.

Smokkey
"Believe me, I have....but I really have no control over it at all." I frowned looking at the ground.
Emerson
"Dudes, is it okay if I sit here?" I asked the other loners at the table. Some nodded just to shut me up, and others just ignored me. "Majority wins, I stay," I said with a grin.

[Callie]

Zephyr

"I guess I can deal with that," I said with a slight smirk. "What on earth possessed you to wanna sit here, though, Mister Popular?"

Vincent

"Well," I said, "this is a sucky topic." I grabbed her hand and ran over to the tiny little shop on the corner. The ice cream store. "Tada!" I said, then letting go of her hand. "Because ice cream makes everything better," I told her, nodding seriously.

Emerson
I shrugged. "Just wanted to sit by you, that's all."
Smokkey
I blushed again as he took my hand, and was sure I still was as he showed me the ice cream shop. "That it does."
