Secrets & Fire 3: The Fortunate

Alyssa

I grinned back at him, "Aww, that's sweet. I'd probably tell you I thought you were hot, but you're gay today, so that's awkward."

Blaze

I laughed, "That might help."

[Callie]

Isaiah

"I know, right? It's okay, though, you can tell me tomorrow. In the meantime, Jay, the slightly antisocial, sarcastic guys have always been my type while I'm gay, so..." I waggled my eyebrows at him.

Jay

I snorted. "Sorry, man, I don't swing that way."

Harmony

"I thought so." I smiled slightly and moved to the side as the old guy introduced us as Paramore, then walked off the stage, leaving me to step in front of the microphone. God, there were so many people. I took a deep breath and looked over to the bar where Alyssa, Jay, and Isaiah were. I knew them. I focused on them and started to sing once the song started.

Alyssa

"Aww, sorry, I'm a nun tommorrow. Hey, isn't that the girl from our music class?" I shut up when Harmony,Blaze, and Carter were up.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I scoffed. "Nuns can still compliment people," I murmured, following her gaze. "Maybe."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Yeah, but nuns can't think people are hot." I took a sip of my beer and turned to Jay, "I dare you to go talk to the brunette."

[Callie]

Jay

"Lies," Isaiah said.
I arched an eyebrow at Alyssa. "Why me?"

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Because if Isaiah goes over there, he'll try to get in the new girl's pants. If I go, he'll try to get in your pants." I started clapping with a bunch of others when the song was over.

[Emmy]

Smokkey
I plopped on my bed and immediately sighed. Today had stretched way outside of my comfort zone; I wasn't used to talking that much. But it kind of felt good.
Emerson
I looked at the clock. It was close to five now, Zephyr was coming.

[Callie]

Jay

"So you want him to try and get into your pants?" I asked, arching an eyebrow at her, then shrugging. "Then again, it's not like he hasn't been for the past hour." I put my beer down and walked over to the new girl (Cheylan). I had no idea what to say, and I had a feeling this wasn't going to go over well.

Isaiah

I looked over to the new girl momentarily, then shook my head. "She's not that hot. But I guess you were right to send Jay, since it is my gay day and all."

Hayden

Since I wasn't sure if I was actually allowed out of the house and Dad wasn't back from work yet, I climbed out my window and shut it quietly behind me, then dropped off the roof with a slight thud. I ran down the street after that. I had no idea where I was going, but I wasn't staying cooped up at home.

Zephyr

I was actually arguing with myself in my head the whole way to Emerson's. Tristan didn't think the whole thing was a good idea if I wasn't comfortable with it, but I'd argued that we were just friends and Emerson knew I didn't want to do anything like that. I left out the part that I wasn't absolutely sure he'd gotten the message. I walked up and knocked on the door, right before realizing that I shouldn't've done that. Usually, if we did something, we just met at the place. But now... now I was frozen. Don't show it, Zeph. Maybe they won't realize what you are.

[Louise]

Cheylan

I raised my eyebrow at this one guy that walked over, then returned to my drink. I was never one for starting conversations.

[Callie]

Jay

"Hi," I said, extending my hand. "I'm Jay." There. That was simple enough, right? Probably not enough to get a conversation going, but I sucked with people I didn't know if I was alone. Shouldn't Alyssa know this by now?

[Louise]

Cheylan

I looked at his hand curiously, then eventually shook it. "Cheylan."

[Callie]

Jay

"Nice to meet you," I said. "So what brings you to this corner of town?"

[Louise]

Cheylan

"Eh, got bored," I answered simply, taking another swig of my beer.

[Callie]

Jay

I laughed. "Happens to the best of us, I suppose."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I laughed at him, "It's going to be hard to find you attractive if you're into my cousin every other day."

ooc: I dunno what to post for Blaze... >.>

[Callie]

Isaiah

"I'm only gay twice a week."

Harmony

I put my hand over the microphone, starting to feel self-conscious again. Ignore them... I looked between Carter and Blaze. "Are we doing another song?"

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Then I guess I'll find someone else attractive to tease on those days."

Blaze

"We could do the other one you sang."
"You don't really know any others," Carter pointed out.

[Callie]

Isaiah

I laughed. "The days that I'm gay?"

Harmony

"Well, obviously. Actually, I've written a few, but I don't have the sheet music, so you guys don't know them," I murmured. "Fences, then?" I didn't mention that I hadn't actually written sheet music for instruments. I didn't really know all the notes and everything.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I nodded seriously, wondering what was being said between Jay and the new girl.

Blaze

"Then maybe we could try out some of those later. But yeah, Fences for now." I went back to where I was earlier and Carter started playing.

[Callie]

Harmony

I nodded, uncovered the microphone and started to sing once the song started. "And it's obvious that you're dying, dying

Emerson
When there was a knock on the door I frowned and wondered who it could be. After slipping my shoes on I started to go but Mom beat me to it. She opened it and my eyes widened. Why was she here? Mom gave a suspicous look. "Hello...?" she said hesitantly.

[Callie]

Zephyr

"Hi," I managed to get out, hopefully without too much noticeable effort. "I'm Zephyr. Emerson's friend from school." Oh, God... this was not going to end well, was it?

[Louise]

Cheylan

I pursed my lips. "I guess so."

[Emmy]

Emerson
"Aaaand we were just going to go to a movie..." I said brushing past my mom to Zephyr. Mom continued with the suspicious look, and took hold of my arm to say something to me. "Emerson, she is obviously a vampire." she hissed in my ear. I looked down at the floor. Dammit. Mom had always known stuff like that.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"Okay, both of them are obviously not going to have a conversation. We need to intervene." I grabbed Isaiah's arm and pulled him over with me. "Hi! I'm Alyssa and this is Fred. You?"

[Callie]

Isaiah

I snorted, but said nothing.

Zephyr

I took a step back. "Uh... I'll just.. go... then," I said slowly. If I had a heartbeat, it'd be going really fast right about now.

[Emmy]

Emerson
I wrenched my arm out of mom's grip. "I'm coming with you; we were seeing a movie and still are." I said defiantly. "C'mon, Zeph."

[Callie]

Zephyr

I looked at Emerson in surprise, but walked back to the sidewalk... backwards. I was sort of afraid of his mom.

[Emmy]

Emerson
"She's not a vampire killer,' I said with a slight smile. "You can turn around."
