I smiled slightly, despite what was going on. I almost started to doubt leaving him when I realized I didn't want Kialish. He was just the only person I was used to being there for me when these out of the normal things happened. Sin... He just always seemed to not be around whenever things got extremely weird.

I nodded slightly, wishing I actually believed that her mom was going to suddenly make Alyssa better.
"Are you boys staying?" Mom asked, looking at me, Jay, Isaiah, and Noel. I almost wanted to grin at seeing her hugging Dad. It seemed too good to be true that it actually meant anything, though, so I just nodded.

I followed Chloe's gaze to the boys, and narrowed my eyes a bit. "Sin, why do you have a criminal in your house?" God, I hated that kid. Okay, so not really, but I sure didn't like him.
Sin shot me a weird look. "He lives here, Ki..."
"Not Jay."
Now he just looked confused. "There's more than one criminal in here?"
Jay laughed and leaned against the wall while I nodded to the Isaiah kid, who raised his eyebrows. "I'm here because I care about Lyssa even if the rest of you don't care for me. Kick me out if you want, but otherwise, I'm staying."
Well, fine. He got points for that and I wouldn't kick him out... yet. I looked over to the other kid, who I hadn't even seen before (Noel). "What about you? Are you a friend or something?" I figured he wasn't, since I hadn't met him once in my life, and I knew most of Lyssa's and Blaze's friends. Harmony, for example, considering she practically lived at our house.
The guy smiled dryly. "Not exactly." He didn't elaborate any more than that.
"Ki, calm down. It's not an interrogation," Sin told me with a small smile.
I looked at him curiously, wondering why he didn't seem annoyed or jealous or anything that Chloe was hugging me. Not that I wanted him to be... Okay, so I kind of did, but he wasn't. And at the same time, I was also glad he wasn't. I didn't understand. Either way, it didn't seem like it bothered him, and I found that weird.

"Nobody's making anyone leave," I said aloud, mainly directed at Kialish as I let go of him, walking back over to Dice and Alyssa. "Finding anything out yet?" If she couldn't... Well, there wasn't anyone else I could think of asking for help.
"And you're a hundred percent sure nothing unusual happened to her recently?" I asked Blaze.
He shook his head, "Well... Last night that Jake guy tried to kill her..."
I froze, my face suddenly feeling as pale as Lyssa's looked. I was going to kill him.

I opened my eyes and made a face, getting up and practically pinning Kialish to the wall while he looked at me with wide eyes. "Peter is dead. Right? Right? Ki, answer me!"
"Dice, would you calm - " My grip around his neck tightened; God, I was so freaked out right now. What was even happening? "Yes! He's dead."
I let go, feeling way too close to hyperventilating for my liking. "No. He's in Alyssa's mind, and I don't know why, and I don't know what he wants with her, and I don't know!" Not being in the know wasn't something I was used to, and it frustrated me to no end that I couldn't find out.

I glanced up, raising an eyebrow. Dice had never acted like this before, at least in front of me. Mom was starting to look like she was turning into a ghost or something as she sat... or more like fell... into the reclining chair next to Alyssa. "'No. No. Peter's dead. Cassie got rid of him."
"Would someone care to tell me who Peter and Cassie are?"

"Obviously not, if he's all up in Alyssa's mind," I told Chloe, frowning. I didn't answer Blaze; I figured that was up to Kialish and Chloe if they told him.

I bit my lip, turning to look back at Kialish questioningly. Nothing made sense right now, and I hadn't even told Sin about Peter! But if he was in Alyssa's head, maybe we needed to tell them.

"Peter Carson was... my first boyfriend." I paused, wincing when I said that. "He was a Psychic, and also a lunatic. He tried to kill me because I wouldn't join his 'resistance', so Kialish killed him, but I guess since he was reading my mind at the same time, he got stuck in there. It wasn't anything like this though! He just screwed around with my dreams, and he went away if Kialish was there."

"Wonder why he went away if Kialish was there," I murmured under my breath. "Do you think he'd still go away now if Kialish is closer?" I asked her.
Kialish gaped at me like I was a genius, but he also looked unsure.

I shook my head doubtfully, "I don't think it was Kialish in general that ticked him off, I think it was... the feeling I got when he touched me... that did it. It screwed whatever he was doing up." Great, Chloe. Way to make everything awkward by bringing up your old feelings for Ki. I muttered in my head.

I made a face, thinking to myself. I doubted there was anyone who could do that for Lyss, which definitely worried me. Maybe... Carter? Nate? Nate was probably the more likely candidate, but we couldn't exactly explain this one to him... and I hated the kid anyways.

"So what, then? We just let her die?!" I knew I was getting upset at them when it wasn't their fault, but this was my twin sister lying on the couch motionless! There had to be something to make the guy go away and die for good.

"There might be..." I trailed off, putting my hand to Lyssa's forehead and basically melding my mind with hers for a moment. I prepared quickly, located... Peter... and pushed as hard as I mentally could, hoping that would get him back to wherever he belonged... for now, at the very least.

I watched nervously as Alyssa let out a scream and continued to stay unconscious for a few minutes before her eyes finally fluttered open.
"How are you feeling?"

"Maybe the rest of you should get back to school, though," I told the rest of the kids, forcing a smile. "Alyssa's going to be fine."
Blaze raised his eyebrows, "Is he really gone now?"
"Is who gone?" Alyssa mumbled.
"Nobody, Lyssa. Get back to sleep."
She shook her head stubbornly, "...How did I get here?"

"Well, I hope you don't think you're skipping out on school just because Harmony is," I told Blaze with a slight smirk. I'd just now noticed how they were still holding hands. Were they... dating? Huh, I hadn't been expecting that one. "Alyssa's going to be here when you get back."
"Dad!" he complained, looking over to Kialish instead. "Can't I stay with Lyssa?"

Chloe "Alright," Blaze said, fighting back a grin. I didn't know why I felt so emotional suddenly, but I turned around, making a face at Kialish. "Sorry, I must have imagined the fact that I was his parent, too." With that, I stormed off to Sin's room, since Ki was in the way of the front door. OOC: MOOD SWINGS.

I raised an eyebrow, "Mom never overreacts like that. ... This thing is contagious, right?" I wasn't sure what Alyssa was supposed to know, but apparently we weren't telling her there was another person in her head, even if I did think that it didn't seem fair.

It had been almost ten minutes since I'd waken up, and nobody was making any sense to me. Instead of going back to sleep like they all seemed to want me to, I used the arm of the couch to stand up, then stumbled over to the door.
"Where do you think you're going?" Blaze asked in disbelief.
I rolled my eyes as I stepped outside, "I told you, I'm going back to school!" I wasn't really sure how I was supposed to do that, considering I didn't have a car, but I could always borrow Blaze's.

I stared after Lyss for a moment before I ran after her and planted myself in front of her path, putting my hands on her shoulders. "Lyss, you need rest. You can hardly walk, let alone make your way to school," I told her seriously, hoping she'd listen to me. "Come back inside," I added pleadingly.

I frowned, knowing I wasn't going to ignore Harmony. Not to mention the fact that she could probably drag me back inside. I'd have to wait for everyone to leave me alone first. "Alright. But I'm not going to rest, I'm fine!"

"Then what will you do?" I asked, walking back to the house with her. I knew I couldn't make Lyss do anything she didn't want to, but I knew if I guilt-tripped her enough and looked at her sadly, she might take it a little easier. Maybe.
