I kissed her back and ran my hands through her hair, wondering if it was really good for me to get attached to someone. Especially her. I couldn't just leave. I had the feeling if I tried, Lucy'd hunt me down and make me pay. Maybe that was what I liked about her.

I looked over his shoulder and wondered. Could I do this? Could I condem him to the life that I had lead till now? Could I settle for something like this? All I knew was that if worst come to worst I'd run and hide...i'd stay abroad.
