I waited until he'd left to get off the bed, no matter how much my body objected to moving again. Either the window was extremely strong or I should really start exercising. It eventually gave through enough that I could fit through it. I actually felt sort of bad for trying to escape after Zaiden went through all the trouble to get me. Feeling his arms around me when I woke up wasn't all that bad.... For crying out loud, Elysia, he's a Dhamphir!

I shrugged. "I'm pretty damn sure that Jaimie would rather not read your mind all the time," I told him, thinking back to when Jaimie and I had our fight. She had said that she hated being sucked into Damon's mind whenever he was filled with emotion or whatever.
