I plopped back down on the couch and shut my eyes. I was tired. I was hurt. I was angry. Need the list go on?

Josh
I rolled my eyes, "Claire, those are... that's Alicia's boyfriend and his sister...."
"Say what?" Alicia practically screamed in my ear.
"Got to go, Claire. Have fun!" I hung up quickly. "It was the best I could come up with on the spot. Besides, it'd get suspicious if I had more cousins."
"I'm going to kill you! I mean, the guy reminds me of you. And I wouldn't date you if my life depended on it."

Claire
I narrowed my eyes. Why would Alicia's boyfriend be here? Something seemed off... I ventured down stairs, "Can I help you?... Alicia's across the street so I'd appreciate if you got the hell off my couch..."

Annabeth
I layed down on the couch and started to drift off to sleep...but as soon as I was getting comfy a nightmare started...

Claire
I walked out of the house without giving them time to reply. Honestly, I was afraid of the red head girl. I opened the gate and found Josh and his cousin in the backyard. "Why aren't you at the dance with AnnaBeth, anyways?" I asked sourly.

Josh
"I...didn't want to go with her..."
"Why not?" she asked with common narrowed eyes.
"I just don't like dances."

Annabeth
I opened my eyes with my mouth clamped tightly shut. I wouldn't show I was scared. Although, I was cold and clammy and sweaty. I shivered and turned over on the couch.
Brett
I sighed deeply, getting up from my chair. Brooke needed me. I knew that much. I ran a hand through my hair and walked out the door heading to her house.

Claire
I narrowed my eyes again, "So, wait a second. Brookelynn's at the dance by herself because Logan left, AnnaBeth's at the dance with someone else, Alicia is dressed up but her boyfriend's across the street doing nothing, and you're in a really hot tuxedo but aren't going to the dance?"
"Yep, pretty much."
"Oh. Alright. Well, let's go hang out in the front yard," I said pulling him out to the front with Alicia following.

Annabeth
I couldn't go back to sleep. I was too scared he'd show up in there again. I got up and walked out the back, pulling my hoodie up so Claire wouldn't see my blonde hair or face. I walked down the street and snuck around to the back of our house.
Brett
Halfway there I realized Brooke would be at their school dance. I sighed and continued down their street, getting to the high school soon enough.

Josh
I reluctantly let her pull me to the front yard, wanting to check on AnnaBeth.

[Emmy]

Annabeth
I slipped in the back door and sighed with relief. Nobody home. I went up to my room and climbed into bed gratefully, reaching into my pillow for my little journal. I started to write down what had happened.
Hey, journal--haven't written in here, much, have I? Get over it.
I got raped.
HA! SHE'S GOTTA BE LYING! Nope. I'm not.
I feel so violated. Another guy saw my parts. I always thought it'd be Josh--you know how I like/love him. I'm not a virgin anymore. And--even worse--I might be pregnant.Probably not, but still. By now, my tears stained the paper. Sorry. Can't write. I tried to run away earlier though. Josh stopped me. I shut the book, crying full-time now.
Brett
I entered the school gym, scanning the crowd for Brooke.

Josh
After a while, I couldn't stand any more of Claire's gossip about everybody and their brother from school. I didn't even know most of the people. "I'll be back..." I walked inside the house, not seeing AnnaBeth anywhere. Had she really said she'd stay just to get me to leave?

Alicia
"So how long have you been dating that guy?" Claire asked curiously. Probably for her gossip. I tried not to make a face or give his name. "Oh, him? Since way before you were born, sweetie."

Annabeth
I tried to catch my breath for a minute and finally calmed down. I layed on my side, facing the wall.
Brett
I didn't see her..where was she?

Josh
I decided I'd check their house before I started freaking out again, "Come on, Alicia. Don't you want to see your boyfriend?" I gave her a look to say she needed to come along. Once we were out of Claire's hearing distance she replied, "God, I'm going to walk around calling Claire your girlfriend!"

Annabeth
I turned over again, making the journal fall out onto the floor, splayed open. I didn't notice. I just got up and went into the bathroom to wipe off the stupid makeup.
Brett
I tapped a kid's shoulder. "hey, is Brooke Starr here?" he looked at me for a minute as if remembering. "Yeah. But something happened with her sister and she left."

Josh
"You wouldn't dare," I told her as I went upstairs to AnnaBeth and Brooke's room. The only thing out of place was some book. I picked up and scanned the page without thinking, quickly putting it down the exact way I'd found it. "EVERYONE! JOSH IS DATING CLAIRE AS OF NOW!" Alicia screamed at the top of her lungs. I ran downstairs and leaped at her.

Annabeth
I froze mid-wipe. It was Alicia's voice, true, but...I quickly wiped the rest off my face and opened the bathroom door, walking back to my bedroom. My journal was on the ground, open. Did he read it? I marched down the stairs. "DId you read this?!" I demanded, holding it out for a minute before holding it close to me.
Brett
Huh? Annabeth? I walked out and rushed down to their home, hesitating to knock at the door.

Josh
"I... thought you left again, so I went back to you and Brooke's room... I put it down as soon as I figured out what it was... I swear I would never read your stuff, AnnaBeth. You know me."

Alicia
I laughed at Josh, glad he hadn't killed me yet, then walked over and opened door. "Sup?"

Annabeth
I could feel hot tears rolling down my cheeks. "Way to make me feel safer, Josh!" I snapped, stomping back up the stairs and falling onto my bed. I knew he really didn't mean to.

Josh
I couldn’t take seeing her cry and know it was my fault. “Leave me alone, Alicia. You might think your sarcastic comments make you look cool but it doesn’t make up for your lack of a heart,” I told her coldly before going back to my house.

Alicia
I bit my lip and stared at the ground, blinking back tears. I hadn’t cried since my mom died and I refused to let it get to me just because he was the only person I actually liked here. As a friend only, obviously. Still, he felt like family to me.

[Callie]

Bella

I ignored her last comment, looking at her curiously. "Are you a Crimson?" I asked under my breath, wondering if perhaps, she and Annabeth had inherited the gene from me.

"Why would I care where Alicia is?" Tanner asked, confused.
I shrugged. "Maybe she knows that you like her." I smirked at him.
"I do not!" he insisted.
"If you say so. Tell everyone I said hi."
"Who said I was leaving?"
"I did, O Great One."
"Well... fine, then. Are you at least coming?" he asked, sighing as he got up.
"Nah."
Tanner rolled his eyes and headed out the door, flipping me off on his way out.
"I love you, too!" I called cheerily out the door.

Alicia
I heard the door open but didn't bother to say anything. AnnaBeth probably didn't feel like talking back anyways. What would I have said? 'Your sort of boyfriend told me to get a heart and now I feel like hating the world again'?

Josh
I sat down on the couch waiting for Brooke to come back.

Brookelynn
I knew it! She was probably a hunter I'd been hearing about the lab. Apparently a couple rogue Crimsons messed up the feed so Selena had been working most of the day and night on some new way to kill us more effectively. I realized I'd been wrapped up in my thoughts again, "I'm the daughter of Selena Hoffburn. Why the heck would I be a Crimson? Little bit hypocritical if you ask me."

[Callie]

Bella

"Curious," I remarked. "You look nothing like her."

Brookelynn
I was silent at her comment. Nobody ever told me that. I mean, I thought it all the time, but someone else saying it? "Well, maybe I look my dad. Never met him."

[Callie]

Bella

"Yeah, you look a lot like him... I mean..." Damn it! Now she was going to hink I was crazy or something. Great. And she'd wonder how I knew her dad.

Annabeth
I kept my face in my pillow to keep the sobs from being too loud. My chest hurt, my eyes hurt, everything did. I looked up for a minute and wondered why this was happening to me.

Brookelynn
My eyes widened. "You... you knew my dad? Nobody tells me about him. Though I don't get why she'd be my mom if she'd kill him," I didn't know why I was telling her this, but I felt I could trust her...

[Callie]

Bella

I nodded. "His name was Charles. He was a great man, and he and Selena were working together to rid the world of Crimsons," I said, somewhat bitterly. "But then Charles met... a Crimson, and a part of him decided they weren't all bad. He started to let some of them go, but it wasn't long until Selena found out. She had him killed. That's a short summary of what happened," I told her.

I felt sort of like a little girl getting told a story for a minute there, "Huh. I thought Crimsons weren't cut out for love. Sounds like your everyday fairytale with a sour ending. How do you know all this anyways?"

Brett
I finally did knock, hoping someone besides ANnabeth would answer. "Hello?"

I smiled at her a bit. "It's one of those 'you-wouldn't-believe-me-if-I-told-you' things."

I smirked slightly, "Trust me. I'm sure I've heard worse."
