After a while, I got bored of playing with my food. Usually Edward would follow me over so it left me disappointed. He probably just wanted to make his friend feel welcome, though it wasn't like Darren was new. "May I join you guys?" I asked sweetly as I approached the kids from the Athena cabin.

"He's in that house over there. Ok?" I nodded and went on to breakfast. I was late. I knew that, but oh well. I sighed in disappointment as I saw the Hermes table was full up. Another day of hanging off the end of the bench, I guess.

I smiled. "Thanks. Saves me a day from hanging off the end of the Hermes table." I quickly got some toast and bacon, then brushed a little in the fire. Claim me, please? I simply asked, then went to go sit down with them. "I'm Venus." I said, in case they didn't know.

"Yeah, I've heard Hades isn't the greatest dad." I half-smiled and pushed some hair behind my ear. I took a bite of bacon, then felt it grow darker, at least around me. I looked above me and held back a gasp. A skull formed out of black wispy stuff floated about my head. "Well, I guess that answers the question, then."
