"Thanks," I said and smiled at her. "I'll talk to you later, then." I opened the door and walked out, shutting it behind me, biting my lip and wondering how the hell I would explain the bite on my neck. Apparently I'd have to find some way to cover it up.

I yawned as I woke up. "Hunny?" I asked as I realized that I was the only one in the room.

I sighed happily as he left. Wow, I was so glad that he was a werewolf because if he hadn't been... well he would probably be dead by now. What a weird day it had been, but it had also been one of the best days in my life.

I walked back to the house and decided that running into Kylie and explaining things first would be better than running into Jamie and trying to explain things, though I had a feeling that running into either of them wouldn't go over very well. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door to the little house they were staying in.

"Thanks," I said and took a sip of it; it was still really hot. "Okay. Don't kill me. So I met this girl yesterday and I had a great time with her and everything. But there're two catches. The first is that she's a vampire. And the second is - again, please don't kill me - I have a girlfriend. And I let the other girl kiss me. But I think the alcohol sort of got to her, but I still really like her and I don't know what to do," I said, dropping my head onto the table.

I froze my position and looked at him. "Are you insane?!" I put down the coffee cup and slapped the back of his head. "One: You have a girlfriend?! Two: Why are you leading this girl on? Three: I'm not even going to start discussing the fact that she's a vampire! She could have bitten you or worse, killed you!"

I unlocked the latch on the front door and walked in "Morning babe." I smiled and kissed Kylie's cheek "Jason." I frowned and looked at him "Have fun with your vampire?" I sniffed deeply and laughed "She took a bite...nice...When is she coming around for tea?"

I smiled faintly and nodded, glad for the advice. Caroline... I should call her, but break-ups over the phone were really harsh. Before Kylie could get her two cents in, I thank Jamie and ran out the door, walking off to Caroline's house.

I got to Caroline's house and hesitantly knocked on the door. When it opened, she looked sad. "You were supposed to come last night. 8 'o' clock. We had a date."
My eyes went wide. Right. I'd forgotten. Ugh. Just award me the bad boyfriend of the year award now. Not only had I forgotten about our date, I'd been with another girl while Caroline had been waiting for me. "I..."
"It's fine. You got distracted or something. Right?" she asked patiently.
"Caroline, I... Yeah. Distracted," I said. I couldn't do it. I let her pull me inside and I kissed her back, feeling like a cheating scumbag the whole time. Fantastic.
