Blade
I smiled too. "Yeah, I don't think that would go over well with anybody's parents."

[Callie]

Hayden

"It'd go over even less well with mine. My dad's sort of... majorly overprotective," I said, making a face.

[Emmy]

Blade
I nodded knowingly. "Yeah. I get that. With a lazy assassin after you and all," I said with a cute and cocky grin.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I rolled my eyes, "Dad, I'm eighteen. I could leave and not come back, and you couldn't do a thing about it. So go right ahead."

Blaze

I pressed my head against the door, trying to hear. That wasn't working well...

[Callie]

Hayden

I laughed. "Right. Though I'm pretty sure he doesn't know about that. Yet."

Kialish

I grimaced. She was right. She was eighteen. My little girl had grown up while I wasn't looking... just like Crystelle.

Harmony

"I... I want to help take care of the baby," he said.
I just scoffed. "That's nice. But if you'd answered my calls or the door every once in a while before breaking it off through e-mail, you'd know that there never was a baby to begin with. It was a false alarm," I told him.
Brian frowned. "Look, Harmony, I'm sorry. I just wasn't ready to be a dad."
"Obviously not. I'm pretty sure you're not even ready to be a boyfriend, which I can tell is what you're trying for here. So go home, think about things, and call me when you're ready to try again. I'll let you know if I am," I said coldly.
"Okay," he mumbled, then looked back up. "Harmony, I really have missed you," he said before turning around and walking off. I leaned against the side of the house, reeling.

Blade
"Why yet? You wouldn't tell him, you're not the type of girl to tell all her worries to dad...or at least, you don't seem to be."

[Callie]

Hayden

"He's where I get the whole mind-reading thing from," I explained.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I frowned slightly, realizing I'd made my point a little too hard.

Blaze

Eventually I decided to go check that the guy hadn't murdered her or something, so I walked outside. Harmony was still there... "Hey, what's up?"

[Callie]

OOC: With the way she was looking at Brian, I don't think Blaze has to worry about Harmony being the dead one... xD

Harmony

I shook my head. "Nothing," I mumbled, looking down at the ground.

Isaiah

I decided to keep my mouth shut as the car pulled to a stop and Kialish got out. Some girl (Jaylee) ran over to him, wide-eyed, and gestured to the officers around. "What happened?" she asked.
"Drug dealers," he answered as I also got out of the back of the car. I could tell that the girl was a vampire just from her stench. God.

[Emmy]

Blade
"Ahhh. That makes sense. So, he'd be able to read mine too, if I went to your house..." I made a face. "I don't think I'm going to your house anytime soon."

[Callie]

Hayden

I nodded and smiled slightly at him. "Yeah..."

[Ashy]

Alyssa

I shut the door behind me, wondering what the girl was even doing at the docks.

Blaze

"It's not fair," I told her with a small smile. "If I said that, you'd just read my mind."

[Callie]

Harmony

I stuck my tongue out at him, smiling slightly. "Yeah, but you don't have that power. So I'm safe."

Isaiah

Once the girl stopped firing questions at Kialish, he went over to the car and I headed over to the girl. "So, vampy, what brings you to these parts?"
She looked surprised for a moment, but quickly replaced the look with an amused smile. "I was seeing what the commotion was about. And you," she made a face, "dog?"
"I'm the drug-dealer," I said with a shrug.

Alyssa

I frowned slightly. Was it really a good thing to tell that girl he was in on this whole thing?

Blaze

"Maybe I secretly have other ways," I said with a smirk.

[Callie]

Harmony

"There ya go, giving me bad thoughts again," I told him, smirking slightly.

Isaiah

"So what's your name, wolf boy?" she asked.
"Keep calling me forms of wolf and I'll have to start calling you leech," I told her with a grin. "But I'm Isaiah. And this is Alyssa," I said, gesturing to her.
She nodded slightly. "I'm Jaylee. Nice to meet you both."

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I waved a little bit, "Yup."

Blaze

"Well, it's not a shocker, being you and all."

[Callie]

Harmony

I shrugged. "You really wanna know, then?"

Isaiah

After a moment of standing there awkwardly, Kialish came back over to us, holding out the registration papers and looking very unhappy. "Well. No drugs, and it seems like you bought the car yesterday. So..."
"I told you so," I told him, repressing a smirk.

[Ashley (;]

Blaze

"Yeah, I've been sort of asking you that," I replied quietly.

Alyssa

"Going to stop judging a book by cover?"

[Callie]

Harmony

"I used to date him, but we sort of broke up when I told him that I was pregnant. Only I wasn't really, and then I tried to tell him that, but he wouldn't pick up the phone or answer the door or anything. So we sort of ended it," I said, grimacing.

Kialish

I made a face. "No."

Isaiah

"So I'm not under arrest?" I asked.
"We have no grounds to arrest you on," he muttered, "so yes, you're free."
Holding back my smirk was seriously not working welll now.

Blade
I took a sip of my coffee and stared down at the table, unsure of what to say now.

[Callie]

Hayden

I sighed and leaned back as our coffees were placed in front of us, and took a drink of mine. "Why aren't you killing me anyways? I mean, you obviously have no hope that we can win against your other trained magical friends."

[Emmy]

Blade
I tried not to blush but I did anyway. "Well for one there's no way I can sneak up on you, being a werewolf, unable to cast spells and crap."

[Callie]

Hayden

"For one, huh? And what's for two?"

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

"I think you owe him an apology," I replied stubbornly.

Blaze

I stared at the floor of the deck quietly, taking it all in. "Well... The guy seems like a complete jerk. What's he want?"

[Emmy]

Blade
I shifted uncomfortably and took another gulp of coffee, to stall having to answer that question.

[Callie]

Hayden

"C'mon," I said with a grin, "you know I could just read your mind to get it out of you anyways. I'm being nice here."

Kialish

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "I'm sorry," I said carelessly, not looking at him as I undid his handcuffs.
"No problem," he said and waved at Alyssa before he got into the car and drove off without another word.

Harmony

"A second chance," I said with a sigh, looking out into the horizon.

[Ashley (;]

Alyssa

I sat down in the passenger seat, waiting for Dad to get back in the car. "Did you not watch Barney growing up? You're supposed to love everyone," I told him seriously.

Blaze

I frowned. "Did you say yes or no?" How could I have not seen that coming? The gorgeous ones always ended up with someone else.

[Callie]

Kialish

"No," I said shortly, starting the drive home.

Jaylee

I got back to Brian's house and made a face at him. "You didn't push her to forgive you. Coward."
He glared up at me. "If I pushed for a second chance, not only would I not get one, but I'd probably get a kick in the balls, too."

Harmony

I shook my head. "I said I'd think about it. But something's different. He's being like Isaiah or something. I can't read his mind either."

Blade
I sighed exasperatedly. "Fine. You seem not too bad, for a Fortunate. Happy?"

Alyssa

I sat back in the seat, "I'm sorry. About what I said earlier and all. I didn't mean any of it."

Blaze

"You think he's a Werewolf, too?" That'd give me a good excuse to kill him...
