"Well, I'd suggest you decide soon or Quinn's gonna eat you instead," I said with a grin.

"Well, I wouldn't mind t - OW!" I yelped as Quinn kicked me under the table. "What was that for?"
"Some people don't like your pervertedness," she said matter-of-factly.

[Christie]

Brian
I smiled. "No need to pay for me. I can take care of that." I skimmed across the menu. "I think I'll get chicken fingers and fries," I concluded.

Kaitlyn
"Great, so everyone knows what they want?" I said as I waved the waitress over to our table.

Meredith
I shook my head, but was smiling. "I'm soo effing glad you're not my roommate..."

[Callie]

Seth

"Aww, why? It'd be fun! We could have sleepovers and - OW!" I said as I was hit with a menu.
"Would you shut up?" Quinn asked, pointing to the waitress. "Order your fucking food without asking for a phone number!" she told me irritably. I decided she didn't seem like she was fooling around at the moment, so I told her what I wanted, and Jesse went after me, going with the same thing that Jesse and Quinn were getting.

Meredith
I told her what I wanted too, deciding to get what they had gotten too, since I hadn't looked that far into the menu. I handed mine to her and she walked off. "So nice..."

[Callie]

Seth

"Quinn is definitely not nice. Unless you were talking about that waitress's - yeah, I'll save you the trouble," I muttered, seeing Quinn's look and slapping myself.
Alix just burst out laughing. "C'mon, Quinn's not that scary. She may put on a mean look, but she couldn't hurt a fly," he said playfully, nudging Quinn in the side.
"Oh, you wanna bet?" she returned, elbowing him back. Were they flirting now? Something told me Quinn was, but Alix was too, and he didn't know it. He'd always been clueless about flirting unless it was really forward.

Meredith
I smirked. "I meant the waitress, but yeah..."

[Callie]

Seth

I shrugged and decided to keep my mouth shut.

Meredith
I turned to Jesse. "So, what do you do in the band?"

[Callie]

Jesse

I looked up from the table. "Huh? Oh... I play the guitar."

[Emmy]

Meredith
I grinned. "The sexy guitar, huh? You don't sing at all?"

[Callie]

Jesse

I blushed and shook my head slightly.
"He can sing, just... not like Alix. They have completely different singing styles, and Jesse's really quiet anyways, so Alix is our vocalist man," Quinn piped up.

[Emmy]

Meredith
"I've noticed the quietness," I said smiling slightly, taking a piece of paper out of my pocket. "Read through the lyrics, Jesse, you sound better for the part of the boy."

[Callie]

Jesse

I read through the lyrics, then shook my head. "I can't sing here," I said, wide-eyed. "And I don't have a guitar."

[Emmy]

Meredith
I laughed. "I wasn't asking you to, just maybe later."

[Callie]

Jesse

"Oh," I said, relaxing a little bit. "Well, maybe." Quinn grabbed the paper and looked at the lyrics.
"Aww. It's sweet," she commented. "I should go get your guitar!" she gasped, then got out of the booth and ran out of the restaurant before I could stop her.

Meredith
I laughed. "They might make you now...sorry."

[Callie]

Jesse

"Might? No, I'm definitely being forced to now," I told her with a weak smile.

[Emmy]

Meredith
I smiled reassuringly back at him. "I've gotta sing my part, too, so you're not alone."

[Callie]

Jesse

I glanced back at the paper that Quinn had dropped on the table. "Oh. Right."
"You're not as shy as Jesse, though," Alix said with a grin. "Well, at least, it doesn't seem like it so far."

[Emmy]

Meredith
"Nah, I don't think I am." I took the paper back. "Did you two read it?" I asked Seth and Alix.

[Callie]

Seth

"Quinn said it was mushy and mushy's not my thing. So, no," I said, shaking my head.
Alix rolled his eyes. "Nah, I didn't. But I will." He picked up the paper, looked it over, and glanced back to Meredith. "Did you write this?"

[Emmy]

Meredith
I nodded. "Yeah, I did."

[Callie]

Alix

"It's good," I said, nodding as I handed her the paper back.

[Emmy]

Meredith
"Thanks! It is mushy though." I looked at it again. "Is Quinn bringing all the instruments in or just his guitar?"

[Callie]

Alix

I shrugged just as Quinn burst back into the restaurant. "I kinda had to break your door and then find your acoustic," she said, handing the guitar to Jesse and then slumping down into her seat.

Jesse

I took the guitar from her and looked around. "Now what?"
"Well, there's a stage over there," Seth pointed out. I glared at him. Oh God, this was going to be embarrassing.
"I love you, Jesse," Quinn said, batting her eyes at me jokingly.
I sighed and got up. "You owe me."
"Yeah yeah."

[Emmy]

Meredith
"Well c'mon then, I know the lyrics," I said. "I'll hold out the paper for you." I took his hand and climbed up onto the stage.

Jesse

I sighed and followed her onto the stage, strumming the guitar and looked over the crowd nervously. I was fine with playing my guitar in front of crowds, but I'd never really sang in front of people before. And now lots of people were looking over to us.
